I would very much doubt it, gamebryo isn't goo enough to handle something like that.
Thing of the battles in the cities during skyrim civil war, it'll probably be slightly better than that when it comes to destruction.
Pre-built and set destruction pieces to happen when X has occured.

it's not the generation the matters
it's how much work goes into it
You have to create 2 separate meshes for each destructible object, one destroyed,one normal

I take it you haven't seen how unconvincing they look
plus, doesn't really mesh well with baked textures

Do I also have to mention that it would raise the game storage space? or bloat the game's budget? or overall how they are going to waste time trying to appease a very very small subset of people who are probably not going to be satisfied with anything

Because Red Faction was designed around that engine.
If you put it into an RPG, all sorts of issues will occur, such as the fact buildings are different instances from the main world, and that you could in theory,burry a quest giver, and not be able to get to them. |

| Burying a quest giver and Making Any Interior unaccessible is Supposed to be part of it, not a problem: any Destroyed Buildingi, if it has An Interior, is gone. Unaccessible forever. Bethesda is too lazy, though. |

Now... That's how it would have Been Without any catering to Casuals. Also a building doesn't just Crumble Down with one missile. |

Considering you're shooting either a building that's had no or poor maintenance for over 100 years, or is made out of scrap, it probably is going to crumble pretty easily.
Particularly if one uses a Fatman.

Actually it'd take way more than a single missle to bring down a building.
Just look at fallout one, which takes place like 40 years after the bombs dropped. The buildings there are all pretty well made or maintained, now imagine 200 years later with much better technology/organization.

Even if we look at fallout 3, the main big settlements are old and sturdy buildings that are in great repair and constantly being fixed to keep out people/mirelurks.
Rivet City + Tenpenny Tower that is.
In fallout new vegas nothing is made out of junk, it's all real buildings in good repair, a missle would probably put a hole in the wall but not destroy them. Especially not in vegas or freeside.

The metro tunnels, on the other hand, would easily get collapsed. And some of the areas are only accessible through those metro tunnels, the first time you go that way. Said metro tunnels have Raiders in them, some of whom can carry missile launchers. Sure, you might not sink rivet city, but you can still have your game screwed up badly. |
