So, I came up with this: You're hiking a tall icy mountain, and you have a pickaxe, and a bag, and some basic survival stuff. You have oxygen as well. Your goal is to reach the top as quickly as possible without dying. You climb up the ice and rocks with your pickaxe, navigate caves, hunt, etc. You can die from losing too much oxygen and start to hallucinate, freezing to death, falling, or starving.
You can place ladders in cracks to walk on. The base camp of the mountain could be the spawn. Each time you reach a new camp, you're rewarded with food, oxygen, water, and shelter. The bases are checkpoints. As you get further up the mountain, it becomes harder to walk, and your oxygen goes down faster. When you get to the top of the mountain, you place down your flag, and can either choose to go hike down, or teleport down.
I can't make this, because I'm terrible at building and scripting. I'm just throwing this idea out there in the open so that somebody might take it. |

I actually really like this idea. I can't build but I am very competent at scripting & game development.
If I set it up with multiple maps or dangers, side quests, enemy AI yetis, I think this could do quite well. Perhaps team-based.
If I can find a competent builder for this I'll definitely make it. |

I would advise you to take caution! This is a great idea and would be a marvelous feat of innovation; however, if not properly executed, it could appear to be no greater than a crumb of bread. Execution is key when building and scripting an article such as this. Use a refined storyline and various options while creating the game. Natural structures are far more complicated and difficult to recreate than their manmade counterparts. To ensure the success and excellence of your game, refine and perfect the building, scripting, gameplay, story, and appearance of your game before publishing it. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.
Must I possess all of the innovation and intelligence? |
