The language of the Takahashi clan is anything but unique. Though it gets the job done, and learning it will have to become a daily routine in the life of a Samurai, Ashigaru, or Masuta. The basic guide presented should be read with care!
1. Hai (Hai stands for yes/okay, in Japanese grammar it can be used for answering 60% of questions presented to you.)
2. iie (iie stands for no/I cannot/impossible, though using it is commonly rude, it is used plenty of times.)
3. Ganbatte (Ganbatte stands for try your best/do well, it should be common as our war cry or encouragement call.)
4. Gomen'sai (Gomen'sai stands for sorry/my pardon.)
5. Gomen (Gomen, used rarely, stands for my pardon. Using it will confuse many though!)
6. Zenshin (Zenshin stands for forward/forwards, it is not used as much as Zenshin Shimasu though.)
7. Zenshin Shimasu (Zenshin Shimasu stands for move forwards/advance, used commonly.)
8. Koho e Ido (Koho e Ido stands for retreat/move back/backwards, it should not be used often.)
9. Koshikakeru (Koshikakeru stands for sit down/be seated, it should not be used often.)
10. Koshi (Koshi stands for sit, to be used often during talks.)
11. Kougeki (Kougeki stands for attack/charge, it is heavily used in combat.)
12. Kon'nichiwa (Kon'nichiwa stands for hello/greeting, largely used!)
13. Shinme (Shinme stands for shoot/fire, used for orders in combat.)
14. Gashi (Gashi stands for hello/greeting, should only be said to family members.)
