We all agree that Samurai Jack was one of the best cartoons ever (or at least I do), right?
Well, I think the best cartoon on T.V. currently is Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja (I like the humour) |

| Since Samurai Jack ended I'd have to say Gravity Falls since I like the humor and plot structure. |

| Not really a big cartoon watcher, but I do have to say that Gravity falls is pretty freaking good. |

| Galaxy, just because something has to do with Japan doesn't mean its an anime. Say what you will, but in order to be a canon anime you have to be made and produced in Japan before the United States. That means shows like Teen Titans and Avatar: The Last Airbender are not anime. They are simply anime influenced. Though, anime influence doesn't just mean design. It also means plot structure. Perfect examples of this belong to shows like Batman Beyond, Spider-man: Unlimited and even Samurai Jack. |

"pig goat banana cricket is better than samurai jack"
I never really found anything wrong with that PGBC show, if only they didn't do unorganized segments they'd be okay |

PGBC is really dumb. It's trying to rip off of Ren and Stimpy. Also, Spider-Man and Batman have something to do with anime because they follow a similar dramatic plot structure to anime. An anime plot structure, more or less, is similar to a Gothic plot structure. I'm trying to avoid having this sound like a literature lesson, but it's going to anyways.
A Gothic plot structure usually surrounds itself with a decaying atmosphere that focuses on a villain that embodies some sort of extreme evil or mirrors one of the seven deadly sins. This is what causes an extreme, and sometimes graphic, villain who does something completely out of line which causes the primary protagonist to turn some-what darker and appear more like an anti-tagonist.
An anime plot structure, as you can see, isn't too far off. Anime usually focuses on the spiritual aspect in a lighter manner rather than going to it in a time of despair. Their villains aren't as intense, either. They usually do something drastic towards the climax of the show to set up for a final battle. |
