III: FAQ
I: In Cohorts the shouts aren't as regulated as in XL but here are some examples you can use:
[MSG] Hosting a training when 3 people are on This shout should be a staple, you can't have a Cohort training without people, this also encourages people to get on
[MSG] Setting up for a training This allows you to set up your training and gather a per-training crowd
[TRAIN] (Insert cool phrase here) (Link here) This allows for people to come to the training and they'll be pumped up For example [TRAIN] Sharpen your pikes! (Link)
[TRAIN-OVER] Training is over! This allows the Legionaries to know the training is over
Those are just some examples you can use others just make sure they are in all capitals with the brackets surrounding
II: In Cohorts there are many activities that would need to be held in your course of an NCO. Hosting normal XL activities would be boring and would defeat the purpose of the Cohort. In a sense there a couple of Criteria a Cohort activity needs.
First: In each training there should be at least 3 activities
Second: Each activity should be 100% by you
Third a: Each activity should have a representation of something that could happen in DS or a direct representation.
Third b: Or the activity should have something that practices what the weapon can do
Fourth: Each activity should have a set of rules that are easy to understand for everyone to enjoy
Fifth: Think of it like you are making your own activities like an FFA is an activity but you are making something else. Maybe even a must-have in normal trainings
III: Here are some frequently asked questions
Q: How long should I wait for people to come?
A: You should wait about 30 minutes for people to come.
Q: What if no one comes to my training? (or one person)
A: If no one comes to your training put it down on your Cohort Activity Report that one of the trainings you held no one came too. If one person comes then do at least one 1v1 activity with them and they can get a recommendation.
Q: What's a recommendation?
A: Recommendations are sort of like XL points just for the Cohort. Recommendations can go towards earning a promotion just like points, they aren’t worth as much as a point but can make the difference between earning a promotion or not. But, you don’t have to worry about counting the recommendations, you send it to the HR who is in charge of the Activity report for that week.
Q: If I host my own activities and have a little fun in my trainings won't discipline be a little problem?
A: Well yes, this is why you must find the perfect middle of having fun and keeping discipline.
