| Nothing. They're different names for the same thing, but the most obvious notable difference is which language they use and how they're applied. |

Different names. Usually decided depending on the context or programming language.

"scripting" usually refers to languages like lua, python, perl, python because they're mostly used for glue code or automating tasks
programming and coding are the same thing, and scripting is programming. |
