if he or she has a terminal situation? Like lets say if someone is suffering a terrible illness and the man is guaranteed death, and is suffering, should he be allowed?

yes
if someone was born with, say, down syndrome, and doesn't want to live through it, they should be allowed to be assisted with their death
you shouldn't force a disabled person to live their entire life with a handicap if they don't want to |

| The "his/her life" argument is kinda not entirely a solid point. Not everyone in the world is smart enough to make good choices on their own. That's why most narcotics aren't available to the public. It is also why murder is not legal. True, someone can do whatever they want, that doesn't mean it has to be accepted in society. |

| The issue with letting people with mental 'issues' have a choice to end their life is; are they in the right mind set to make that decision? That's a common argument, I personally support it under certain conditions, however the law has a lot of situations, that's the primary reason stuff like this is hard to pass, same with death penalty and so on. |

| Well, I just watched Season 5 of Walking Dead and I can tell you that it would put them out of their misery which is good, however, it is always tough losing somebody so its all up to you. |

bra if someone really wants to end their life they're gonna go to the means necessary to attain it so wether they are assisted with lethal injection or not is somewhat irrelevant.
Now, to be fair and more relevant to what you're saying; I think people should not be allowed to just up and have a lethal injection because they take themselves away from family and whoever else associates with them but like others have said, they may not be in a healthy state of mind or may be having a time of depression where their brain chemistry is persuading irrational or not-well-thought-out decisions, such as going to the extent of a lethal injection.
You also have the problematic situation of who would regulate, administer, and dispose of lethal injections. |
