The xbone is hardly powerful enough to run roblox aswell.
I fear this console version is going to look like the mobile version but on a bigger screen.

That makes absolutely no sense, just because microsoft made windows which works with roblox, doesnt mean that the xbox is going to magically work flawlessly with roblox.
The issue resides in the large quantities of moving objects, Roblox tends to have lots of individual bricks that move around alot, explosions that suddenly run hundreds of background ballistics scripts, thats not something the xbox was designed for.
Notice that games like Call of Duty and Halo and all that are really i guess, "stable". Not much moves around, there arent tons of tiny little bits that go all over the place, and the ones that do are not models, theyre similar to particle effects.
Now if you have say, a skyscraper, made with 7000 bricks. And its all disjointed when its blown up, you have 7000 objects all moving with unique ballistics.
This kills the xbox.
The way the processors in xbox work, theyre suited to show non-ballistic, non-reactive models. Bullets leave little hole textures and make particles, but no models are moved and no ballistics are used.
Meanwhile if you shoot a gun in roblox, one of the modeled bullet ones, its powered by a ballistic script, the bullet is created, propelled and dissapears after a short while. Wherever it hits may be a brick which can move, and leaves a texture.
Its the same issue with mobile roblox, the processors used are not made to handle lots of individual objects moving at once like that.
Just because the xbox can show beautiful graphics does not mean it can deal with games like say, Pilot Paradise, with 270 thousand bricks, and destructible planes. |
