Hello, Airman. First, some very simple info. I am the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Emperormaximilian (Remember to call me Sir or Chairman when you address me directly; I am not "Emp" or "Emperor". Respect that title). Also keep in mind that we are not friends. This is a professional group; not a hangout place for me and my “pals.” So, since we are not friends, do NOT ask me to test your maps/models, do NOT ask me to make you a map/ad/thumbnail/uniform for free, and, most importantly, DO NOT ASK ME FOR AN OFFICER RANK!

The following is a list of STRICT non-negotiable rules for the members of USAF.

It's important that you understand that these rules are not to limit your fun; they're to make being a member of the Air Force a fun, accurate, and all-around awesome experience for all of its members. Remember, when you enlist in the Air Force, you’re no longer looking out for yourself - you’re looking out for the group and your fellow Airmen. Always follow USAF rules and make sure to read this guide CAREFULLY, because you will be expected to follow these rules. Please see the Code of Conduct for more in-depth detail on rules and regulations.

By joining USAF you are agreeing to read this guide and follow it perfectly. If, at any point, you are found to be violating one or more of the rules in this guide, you agree to GRACIOUSLY accept any punishment given to you, up to and including dishonorable discharge.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, some basic information of the USAF.

The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven American uniformed services. Initially part of the United States Army, the USAF was formed as a separate branch of the military on 18 September 1947 under the National Security Act of 1947. It is the most recent branch of the U.S. military to be formed, and is the largest and one of the world's most technologically advanced air forces. The USAF articulates its core functions as Nuclear Deterrence Operations, Special Operations, Air Superiority, Global Integrated ISR, Space Superiority, Command and Control, Cyberspace Superiority, Personnel Recovery, Global Precision Attack, Building Partnerships, Rapid Global Mobility and Agile Combat Support.

The U.S. Air Force is a military service within the Department of the Air Force, one of the three military departments of the Department of Defense. The highest-ranking military officer in the Department of the Air Force is the Chief of Staff of the Air Force who exercises supervision over Air Force units, and serves as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This individual reports to the Vice Chairman and the Chairman. Air Force combat forces and mobility forces are assigned, as directed by the Secretary of Defense, to the Combatant Commanders, and neither the Secretary of the Air Force nor the Chief of Staff have operational command authority over them.

Addressing members of the Air Force
Here in the USAF, respect is what matters more than almost anything. Certain Airmen must be addressed the correct way. Enlisted are to be called by their rank if you are above E1 and Officers are to be addressed as "sir" or "ma'am". If you are E1, everyone that is higher than you is addressed as "Sir" or "Ma'am".

E1-E4: "Airman"
E5-E8: "Sergeant"
E9A-E9C: "Chief Master Sergeant", or "Chief"

O1 and O2: "Sir/Ma'am", or "Lieutenant"
O3: "Sir/Ma'am" or "Captain"
O4: "Sir/Ma'am", or "Major"
O5 and O6: "Sir/Ma'am", or "Colonel"
O7-O10: "Sir/Ma'am", or "General"
VCSAF: "Sir/Ma'am",or "General"
CSAF: "Sir/Ma'am",or "General"
VCJCS: "Sir/Ma'am",or "General", or "Vice Chairman"
CJCS: "Sir", "Admiral", or "Chairman"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dress Code:

Airmen are expected to LOOK like Airmen. This means a few things.

1. Get the uniform! If you can’t afford it, then talk to the CJCS about it. Airmen must ALWAYS be in uniform at USAF maps. There is NO grey area. If you’re there, you’re on duty. PERIOD.

2. Airmen must have PROPER human skin tones. White, brown, and tan are all accurate. DO NOT wear colors like lime green, blue, or red. and most importantly, DO NOT EVER wear packages. Wearing a package to a USAF base will most likely just get you kicked.

3. Airmen must wear PROPER headgear. No ridiculous headgear or idiotic looking hats. Long hair is strictly prohibited. For any questions about this rule, PM the AF Staff.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interacting with Commanders and Officers

1. E1's may not speak to officers unless they have requested an audience with the officer and have been accepted by him or her. E1's must say "PTS", or "Permission to Speak, sir/ma'am". NEVER EVER CALL AN ENLISTED AIRMAN SIR IF YOU ARE ABOVE THE RANK OF E1! ENLISTED AIRMEN ARE TO BE ADDRESSED BY THEIR RANK UNLESS YOU ARE AN E1!

2. Never argue with your officers for ANY reason.

3. NEVER ask your officers for a promotion. Even saying the WORD promotion can get you demoted. Don’t try to be sneaky about it, don’t hint at it, don’t talk about promotions at ALL. Your here to serve, not to be the "highest ranking person".

4. Don’t suck up to your officers. They don’t need compliments, they know that they’re skilled Airmen and leaders, otherwise they wouldn’t be officers in the Air Force. It’s PAINFULLY obvious when someone is trying to get a promotion. E.g., “Man, I killed so many insurgents today. And I’m so tired from spending all day devoted to this group. But I just live to serve my country.” Don’t do that. It’s pathetic. Let your actions speak for themselves, don’t go around trying to get officers to notice you. If you’re doing a good job, someone will notice eventually and promote you, and please, don't PM me about ranks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rank Regulations:

Ok, so if you were in the USAF and you leave and decide to rejoin. DO NOT ask me or my Command Staff to put your rank to what it used to be! It is your fault you left the group so you will have to work your way back up! If you bug me or my Command Staff about your old rank, we will just simply ignore you.

ALL promotions will be given as your officers see fit. There is NO WAY you can ensure a promotion for yourself. Just follow this guide to the best of your ability and hope an officer sees potential in you. And remember, there’s no shame in being a Airman Basic or Staff Sergeant! Every military needs good, strong, obedient members to show its enemies who’s boss. Be happy to be part of the group; never be upset about your rank. Keep up this attitude and never complain!

CONCLUSION
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to The United States Air Force, A new air force. When you first enlist, always keep updated with the shout so you can attend RT's to rank up! Thank you for reading this guide and I hope all works well for you in the Air Force.

Aim High.
