| I sometimes look at dead threads/groups and think 'you know, I like this concept, but I could execute it better', but I know I'll never get permission from the former admin(s) for whatever reason. |

| On the rare chance that it's mine, you have my permission to try it as long as you give some credit to me. |

i put loads of work into rps that never get a good amount of joiners and now i feel weird controlling other characters, who are obsessed with things that are controversial on this forum, with permission

@Rock
I think I'm weird because I already start working it out in my head, even though I can never actually do it.
Like, I start thinking about how I'd like to do it if I could, and I don't know why.
@Zeriten
Yep. That is like, every Devi@nt@RT roleplay, or really any roleplay where the OP is experienced and everyone else is not.
@Mega
Thank you. Also, I should probably mention that if I ever do/did get the chance to do this, I would credit the OP and do my best to provide sources. |

| Hah, that's the same as me. I may plan out the entire plot line of the RP... |

@Marc
I've had multiple roleplays where few people join and ask me to allow ridiculous things. I almost always let them because I'm scared they'll get mad at me and/or leave if I don't.
For example, my old Warriors thread where someone wanted their character to be a reincarnation of a dead character and somehow have the mind and body of a young child AT BIRTH.
And I allowed it. |

I'm sort of the opposite -- I'll focus on minor things, but I'll really expand upon them. |

Go on the honor system, OP
If the OP hasn't made anything new or just generally sucks now (IE Timtams or SwedCitrus) then you can take whatever you please. |

@Bebi
What if the RP was originally posted on another site, though?
Also, it would feel like stealing even when if I were to give credit (which I would). What if the OP isn't okay with me redoing the concept for whatever reason? Maybe they'd be upset with how I executed things or planned to revisit the idea. |

| I also completely forget to put details in my RP posts. Like literally I am AMAZED at the posts I made when I was 12 because since then I've wrote so many essays, so many speeches and so many lab reports that I've completely forgot how to describe things well and write stories lmao. |

If they give consent, go for it. If they say 'no', dont. If they say nothing or do nothing against it, go for it. If they're stupid, have long since left, or suck, go for it. |

@Zeri
That honestly sounds a bit upsetting. I don't think I've lost my ability to be descriptive because of school, fortunately.
@Bebi
Eh, I see your point, but it just doesn't feel ethically right.
Also, I'm a bit worried people would give me flak for getting the idea from an unpopular website. |

@Jeff
I have never actually redid something completely before. I've done a few collabs, and I've even done a roleplay where someone basically did the plot and setting for me, but I did the rest, but I've never done anything like what I described in my first post. |

also on rocks rps whenever i have a parent die in a characters bio for some reason in his next rp said parent will be alive through some retcon or something else
like for example: on katianas cs her bio says that her mother avalon sue died of cancer but in avalons however shes revealed to have abandoned her and faked her death of cancer because of having difficulties with taking care of her daughter
yeah idk

ive always been wanting to make an rp, but it rarely works out because i suck at planning and stories and pretty much everything in general so i end up giving up and i just want to lie down in bed a million hours. but i cant do that, because school
i have too bad of a self-esteem to stay self-motivated and it is killing me inside |

sometimes i want to make an rp based off of older works such as 80s slasher films, late 80s-early 90s text adventure games, 90s spy films, etc.

@Marc
IDK either, I guess?
@Pick
Don't feel bad about that -- I've promised to join collabs after finishing them, but I never end up doing so. Also, posted an accepted CS but never actually roleplayed. Also, to be honest, I sometimes never actually think about posting my ideas on RPF because I know people will hate the concept. Lack of motivation factors into it, though.
@Rock
I want to do this sort of thing too sometimes, because I don't like people with insanely cruel, I-know-I'm-evil-but-I-don't-care characters and/or groups. But I'm bad at writing characters/groups like that.
@Jeff
I know the feeling.
@Marc
I've wanted to do historical fiction stuff, but man, am I terrible at it.
@Rock
I once had two separate, non-optional language arts classes -- one for writing and one for reading. |
