Last chapter: CHAPTER FOUR
(Pete's POV)
Pete entered the classroom and took a seat in one of the chairs. Pete had plans for the future. Jenny sat in the seat beside him.
"Hi Jenny," Pete started off. He still felt somewhat nervous about even looking at her. "I was thinking.. maybe we need to settle some agreements-"
"Listen, Pete." Jenny positioned herself so her body was facing him, and not just her head. She looked firm. "I'm not your love. Maybe I have to be. But this isn't some story where a guy and a girl live happily ever after. I know what you're thinking. You're a guy. You want to see ass." Jenny paused. "If you want my ass, maybe you can have it later on. But not now. I don't trust you. There aren't any consequences for doing anything wrong. Except everything. I realize I'm the key to the survival of us. I'll just end myself if you want to be a guy who gets what he wants."
Pete felt slightly scared. Jenny had taken complete control of him. He soon realized that she was right. Jenny was the key to survival. If he didn't have her, he didn't have anything. He tried to change the conversation back to what it was before. "Not those kind of agreements, like... I don't know, guidelines so we can ensure the survival of the human race? I know I'm a guy. And I know I want to see ass. You obviously know it too. But I'm not here to break all the rules mankind has given us. I'm here to improve the world for future generations. You and I both have endured tough conditioning sessions being active in sports and stuff. I think that will translate to the rest of out lives. Because we have to be responsible now."
Jenny got close. Real close. "Can I trust you?" She asked, in an extremely emotional segment. Pete nodded his head slightly and nervously. Jenny immediately leaped from her chair around Pete's upper chest and face with her legs around Pete's stomach, crossing over to his lower back, and embraced him like Pete had been her boyfriend for the longest time. Pete embraced back.
"Happy Valentines Day, Jenny," Pete mentioned. And she hugged even harder.
CHAPTER FIVE
(Pete's POV)
Pete was honestly shocked that Jenny would just jump at him like that. It was only two minutes ago that she said that she wasn't his love. Jenny slowly but surely was lowering into the ground. Soon she was sitting with crossed legs on the floor. She got up, walked around, and sat back down in her chair and adjusted her hair. Pete took his notebook and showed it to Jenny.
The notebook was not exactly blank, Pete had left his contact on the paper and started writing what happened in it, bullet form.
"Jenny, I really don't know what to do. There's a lot of questions to answer. How to survive? How to thrive? How to live peacefully? How to stay in touch?" Pete pondered
"I am not a very good problem solver," Jenny said with a laugh. "Your choice."
"I mean, I wrote my contact here." Pete paused. Pete realized something at that moment. If him and Jenny don't stay together, it won't work out. He looked a bit frightened. "Jenny, I- I think we have to live together... in the same house. If we want to keep living." Pete said nervously.
"Pete, look." Jenny said with reassurance. She put her hand on his shoulder. "I get why you're a little scared, because I know for a guy, it's kind of hard to talk to a girl. Just an hour ago you didn't know me at all. I'll let you know that I'm not gonna hurt you if you try to suggest anything, so don't be afraid to just say it. I mean, it's only me and you..." She paused. Pete and Jenny stared at each other for a good 3 seconds. Then Jenny made the first move, kissing Pete on the cheek. "I hope that makes you feel better," she said.
Pete was absolutely in shock. His friends would be proud of this, he thought. He just wasn't normal. Jenny moved her desk directly next to his, and wrapped her arm around his neck. Pete finally continued to tell his ideas. "I think we need a car... And your number. We need to have like a list of laws." Pete felt more confident now. "My friend, Kyle, took a law class. And he told me that the world needs rules to stay in order. I know it's only me and you, but I feel like we need to follow some guidelines to stay normal."
Jenny repeated what she said earlier. "Pete, this is all on you. I'm not a very good problem solver, so I'm going to need you to be the man here. Is that cool?"
Pete stood up. "I'm cool with this. Jenny, we need to go pick a house out. Let's go outside." Pete grabbed his notebook and took Jenny's hand. For a moment Pete thought they were going to walk right out of the school. But Jenny's hand resisted. Pete looked back.
"We need to turn all the lights off in the school." Jenny insisted. "Also, go grab the car keys in the teacher's purse over there."
CHAPTER SIX
After what seemed like over 15 minutes of going in every classroom and turning off the electricity, they finally left the school. Pete thought they were a cute couple, him and Jenny holding hands, Jenny wearing a heavy reddish-pink jacket and Pete wearing his normal heavy coat with his arm around her shoulder, walking to the parking lot. When they got into the parking lot area, Pete raised the car keys real high and hit the alarm button. The car was almost directly in front of them. The car unlocked, and the two entered the car, Pete in the driver's seat and Jenny in the passenger seat.
Pete didn't realize that driving was a little more complicated than he expected. He put the car in reverse, and slowly backed out of the parking spot, and turned his wheel a little. When he realized that wasn't enough, he turned it more and the car finally was on the parking lot area. Pete drove slow through the parking lot illegally, swerving into lanes. "This is harder than it looks," Pete said. Pete drove onto the main road, which was virtually empty except for some snow that fell the other day and a few parked cars on the shoulder.
"So Jenny, where do you wanna live?" Pete asked.
Jenny was quick to respond. "Go to my house, and I'm going to pack me some stuff. Do the same for your house."
"I kind of need directions.." Pete said.
Jenny gave some directions to her house, which was about 5 minutes away. Her house was just like any normal house, and Pete went in the house with Jenny, and Jenny gave Pete a small tour. Pete was not surprised that Jenny's room was very girly, but at the same time it had lots of school representation on top of that. Jenny packed herself some clothes in a large suitcase, along with some toiletries and a few other items. Jenny looked to be thinking about something. Maybe she was trying to make a decision.
"Pete, pick me up." Jenny said. Pete realized there were no restrictions, and there was nothing anyone could do to him to embarrass him, so he wrapped his left arm around Jenny's back, and took his right arm behind his knees, and picked her up. Jenny seemed to enjoy it. "I wonder why I didn't ask you out eariler.." Pete walked back and forth a couple times before letting her down.
One thing Pete inferred about Jenny was that she was willing to be a little crazy at times. Pete probably would have done the same thing if he was a girl. Jenny was in love with him, and he knew it. Pete was still scared to be Pete.
They left Jenny's house and Pete drove to his own house, having fun speeding to 70 mph on the highway and almost totaling the car on a curb. "Drive slower!" Jenny kept on saying.
They arrived at Pete's house, gave Jenny a tour like she did to Pete, and packed his things. Interestingly, Pete also packed his Playstation 4 with his games. Jenny questioned Pete's thinking. "Trust me, it's fun. I have some games you would like, too." Pete said to Jenny.
"So Jenny, where do you want to live?" Pete asked. It was a wonderful question. Jenny really thought about it. She stood there for 30 seconds before responding.
"I want to live in downtown." Jenny finally answered.

CHAPTER SEVEN
(Pete's POV)
Downtown was a great choice to make. It was close to all of the stores so him and Jenny could just walk across the street and get food for them. Pete had driven down the main highway leading to downtown and turned on the road where most of the supermarkets were.
"There's Best Buy. Maybe I can get every game in existance," Pete said with a laugh. He slowed to around 5 miles an hour and pulled into the mall parking lot. There was a squirrel running across the street.
"Okay, so squirrels are alive, too," Jenny mentioned. "I want to go to the food store so I can get some food. Can you check the fast food place over there? We don't need diets anymore." Jenny said jokingly.
Pete walked to the fast food place. To his surprise, it was really crazy in there. With no one able to monitor the kitchen, the kitchen got overwhelmed, with spilling grease and smoke everywhere. Probably a fire, he thought. Pete had never worked at a fast food place. But he tried to be a hero. It came to Pete that he can't die or Jenny is alone, forever. He ignored that, though. He took out the fire extinguisher and sprayed it all over the kitchen. Soon the fire extinguisher ran out of fuel and Pete was helpless. As he was trying to escape the fire that was building up quickly, he found an emergency switch off button. He punched it with all of his might, which turned everything off. Including the lights in the place. But it didn't turn off the fire. Pete manually opened the drive-through window and squeezed himself through it. Pete was very concerned about all the other fast-food places in the world at this point.
"Oh my God" Pete said with a sigh of relief. "JENNY!!" Pete sprinted over to the supermarket where Jenny was shopping, calling her name as much as possible before running out of breath. He checked isle after isle. Suddenly, he heard a cart rolling from behind him. The cart hit a nearby shelf, knocking over a few boxes. Pete didn't look behind him in time. Before Pete could turn around, Jenny tackled him from behind. Pete's face smashed into the ground and Jenny was panting on top of him.
"Fire, Pete! Your shirt was burning!" Jenny gasped. "I think I got rid of it. Was that from the fast food place?"
"Yeah, I think we need to check all the fast food places. We're in more trouble than we thought!" Pete claimed.
Jenny continued to rest on top of Pete. She rested her head on his shoulder. "Pete, I don't want to lose you. I love you." Jenny paused. She started to tear up. "Please don't do anything like that again, without my help. Promise?"
"Promise." Pete said with confidence. Jenny moved her hands to the opposite side of Pete's head, and she gave Pete the biggest kiss of his life on the cheek, lasting for more than 5 seconds. "And I love you, too."
CHAPTER EIGHT
(Jenny's POV)
Jenny was so scared. Pete almost burned to death, not even two hours into this. She was lucky to have found him, because Pete looked like he was really scared, too. Silently they knew that they had to stick together now. Because there is no help when there's an emergency. The only choice is death in that situation.
They both got into the car again and they knew what they had to do. Clean out all the fast food places. They started driving to one end of town.
"Hey Pete you know we have to clear the restaurants as well?" Jenny said. She noticed Pete was still uncomfortable around her for some reason. Jenny had tried to fix that by falling in love with him, but she hasn't seen any effect yet.
"Oh God," Pete said under his breath. He slammed on the brakes. "I have an idea. Why don't we just go to the power plant and shut power down?"
It was a brilliant idea. Even though they would suffer from no electricity at night, it would clear this town of all the fires and dangers of the machinery, for now anyway. They just needed to know where the power station was.
Still not finished with chapter 8. But this is a good story! admit it

Continuing chapter eight. I feel like the only person that read this is giftbox24, props to him.
The power station. They had never really paid attention to where the power station was. Pete was looking where the power station was up on his phone, but that didn't lead them anywhere. Jenny also failed on looking it up, so they drove around town looking for anything suspicious. It wasn't downtown, it wasn't up where Pete lived, or where Jenny lived. It wasn't across the street from the school although that area looked sketchy. Finally they came across an area behind the police station. It said "HIGH VOLTAGE" on the fence outside of it, and Pete was easily able to access the power plant and shut it down. He went in, did whatever he was supposed to do, and came out, smiling.
"I was even able to shut off the generators. I'm just gonna drive around the town, look for fires." Pete said. He pulled a prank on Jenny and locked the doors outside the car before she could enter. They were laughing on the way around town.
The town looked extremely clean. Even looking carefully though the glass windows of the fast food places proved there were no fires. One restaurant has smoke in it, but they decided to let it burn since it was in the middle of nowhere. It was getting creepy that there were no fires, and walking into one of the fast food places, which had been shut down of power, it looked wet. And it smelled a little bit like smoke. The sprinklers on top of the place had gone off, and shutting down the power stopped the fire. "So these places had burned down already. I think we're safe. Jenny, smoke is not good for you. Remember, we need to survive." Pete said.
Finally, they drove back to the downtown area. Jenny didn't want to be burned by all of these fires. One could easily pop up when they were sleeping. She thought about sleeping. "Whoa," she accidentally said out loud.
"What?" Pete curiously asked. This wasn't a situation where Jenny could just shut up, because especially in a time like now, information was needed.
"Nothing." Jenny said, clearly trying to hide her thoughts of sleeping with Pete behind her. "Actually, I'll tell you. I don't wanna live in downtown. Fires will burn the house!"
"Jenny, I think you're overreacting, but I'll move away from downtown if you want." Pete replied. He drove about a half mile from downtown. "Is this good?" he asked? There was a rather large house with two stories in it in front of them. It was also on sale.
"I like it. Let's move in." Jenny said.
CHAPTER NINE
(Pete's POV)
Boy was this a good house to live in. To Pete's excitement, there was only one bedroom. That meant that he would be sleeping with a girl- something he thought he would never accomplish. And since Jenny was in love with him, he thought this would be a love story. Unlike what she had mentioned at the school. Him and Jenny unpacked and separated their things.
"Pete, we have no power here. How are we going to cook food or go on our phones..?" Jenny asked.
"By turning the power back on. There's actually a way I can restore power in a specific place." Pete mentioned. "But I'd need to figure that out first. It's almost sunset, Jenny. I think we can survive a day without power. Because I think we both need a rest at this point." Pete did not want to mention the stuff that probably was about to happen with Jenny. He wanted to avoid it, until she wanted to do it. And they were in love, so he didn't know what to expect from her.
"Just today? I want to use my phone. But I can survive, I think?" Jenny said. "What do you want for dinner?"
Pete was shocked, because he completely forgot that he hadn't eaten lunch and he was hungry. He answered like he normally did to his mom. "Something that I can eat."

So what am I supposed to do? I mean, other, than getting banned of course. If you're reading this, mods, can you at least show us the post and highlight what is wrong with it? That would help us make it "cleaner" if you want to put it that way.

Cooking dinner wasn't as frantic as Pete thought it would be. Of course, him and Jenny worked together to make a pot of pasta, but it went extremely smoothly, especially considering Pete had never cooked anything before. Pete lit a match he brought over in his suitcase to help fire the stove up. Although it went smoothly, it was very awkward Pete was watching Jenny stir the pasta in the pot the entire time, and studying what she was doing so he knew what to do when he cooked. Then they both sat down at the table and started eating.
"Jenny," Pete said, after a minute of silence. "What are your plans?"
"What do you mean?" Jenny asked. She took another bite of her pasta.
"I don't know," Pete said. He bit his lower lip and swallowed. "It's just that it's an awkward situation." His voice cracked.
"There are no consequences," Jenny said, reassuringly. "So do as you please."
"You still haven't answered my question." Pete said.
Jenny paused. To Pete, Jenny was definitely deciding on something. "There are no consequences..." she murmured. Jenny was definitely hit by what she said earlier. Pete was definitely thinking she was about to do something. And indeed she was. Jenny placed her hand on her jacket she was still wearing, and unzi-pped it, unveiling a pink Valentine's Day themed shirt. She then paused a moment, and started to lift her shirt up, but not quite all the way. Her chest was still covered. "This is really awkward, but I think it's best to be comfortable around each other...?"
Pete nodded. Not because he wanted to see her with no clothes, but because he didn't want to hide anything. Physically and mentally. Jenny continued her process. Pete could tell she has clearly done this before. Jenny's form was perfect. Her shirt was now off, and unveils a portion of a girl that Pete never really got to see outside of a swimsuit. Pete leaped over to Jenny. He placed his arms around her neck. "Can't hide anything," he said. "Can't hide my emotions, or my movements. There are no consequences!"
Jenny put her hand over Pete's lips, immediately stopping the talking. "Those were some of my plans. What are *your* plans?" Jenny requested. Pete just held the position where he was at, and took his shirt off. He threw it on the ground near where Jenny threw her shirt. He took his hands below Jenny's armpits, and propped her to a standing position. He then embraced her. "Let's go on the couch." Jenny finally said.
On the couch, Pete and Jenny shared the same seat, with Jenny resting her right side of her body on Pete. Pete had his arms wrapped around her and rested his head on top of Jenny's head, sideways. "You know, I've never had a gf before." Pete starts. "I feel lucky. Because back in the day I was so scared to even approach a girl. That was just less than 12 hours ago!" Pete kiss-ed Jenny on the head. "A lot has happened since then. I love you. You know that? I really really love you. With all my pa-ssion. There's no other girl I love more than you. And I know it sounds cliche but I mean it. I really do. Can you trust me?"
Jenny shifted herself to be sitting on top of Pete and facing him. "There's no consequences. And I love you too. I wouldn't have saved you from the fire if I didn't love you. I wouldn't have asked you to pick me up if I didn't love you. I wouldn't have cooked dinner for you if I didn't love you. And I certainly wouldn't be doing this if I didn't love you. Or this." Jenny pulled the handle that activated the recliner of the chair and the back half of the chair to a flat position so that she was laying on top of him. "No consequences." They kiss-ed. For a very, very long time.
In fact they kiss-ed for so long, they fell asleep like this. And then the dreams came.

CHAPTER TEN
The world was different. Pete was in a field, in grasses. He turned around, and he saw a rather nice house in the middle of nowhere. It was two stories with a deck overlooking the front yard. Above the front door was a piece of wood that said 'No consequences' and he walked in. Inside the house, the kitchen was the first thing they saw, and to the right was a stairwell that led to the upstairs, and to the left there was the living room- with a large plasma screen TV which was turned on. Pete saw a light reaching him from the upstairs. Curiously Pete walked up the stairs, and there were four doors. One of them was open, and he saw Jenny looking out the window in what he guessed was her bedroom, with a white robe on.
Pete came from behind her and wrapped his arms on top of her shoulders. "Hi," said Pete. Jenny grabbed his wrists. He looked out the window, and saw not what he had seen when he came out. There was a road that was obviously beyond the distance his eyes could see. There were two cars halted on the road- Pete inferred that these were him and Jenny's cars. Pete looked down over Jenny's shoulder and found that she was reading a science textbook. It was turned to the page of machinery, and Pete could not dissect what was on the page. Jenny turned around with the book in her hand.
"So," Jenny said. "This is how to make a generator, apparently. It really isn't that complicated, just need to find a power source."
"But the power is already on," Pete said.
"Well I guess we don't need *this* then." Jenny responded. She put the book on the desk in front of the window, and the pages flipped a few pages. Then one of the pages flew away into the wind. "Oops." she said. "That's the generator's page."
Pete ran to where the door was to exit the room and get the paper, but there was no door. He turned around and the window closed. He tried to re-open it but it didn't have any way to open it anymore.
"Trying to escape?" Jenny asked. "I'll help." She walked up to Pete and embraced him in her arms. She then started to untie her robe, and then an alarm clock went off.
It was all a dream. Just a dream. There was an alarm going off and there was buzzing at Pete's left thigh. He didn't recognize the tune, so Pete attempted to reach for the alarm clock. He soon realized that he was reaching down Jenny's leg. He found where her phone was, in one of her pockets that he couldn't see. Pete blindly searched Jenny's hip for the pocket where the phone was in, and Pete found another arm with his hand, and the alarm stopped.
Pete finally figured out that they fell asleep kissing, and Jenny was on Pete's side. Pete wrapped his arms around Jenny again, and closed his eyes. He rested his head on the couch. Jenny did the same except her head rested on top of Pete's head.
Another alarm clock went off. This time Pete knew it was his alarm, and reached into his pocket where it always was and blindly turned it off.
This alarm woke Pete up.

CHAPTER ELEVEN
(Pete's POV)
It was probably one of the most awkward moments Pete had in his life. This kind of stuff, the making out, was stuff he would think about in his dreams. And it would happen, he used to think, when bacon tasted like ice cream.
But it happened, in less than a day. He never even knew it was coming. Pete walked to the bathroom to take a shower. He turned the switch but the lights didn't come on, and then forgot that they had no power. He took a dark shower, and didn't care to comb his hair or shave afterwards.
By that point, with the sun barely rising over the horizon, Pete noticed Jenny getting dressed and then she went to the table to put on makeup.
"Jenny," he said, "You do know that we are the only two people here."
"But I want to look good, for you. Because, you know." She started giggling. "No consequences," she said in a low voice. They both started laughing. She did her makeup.
Later in the morning when the two finally figured out that they needed to eat something other than pancakes and eggs for breakfast, they took out the leftover pasta, and heated it up on a pan, using the same technique with a match. "Honestly," Jenny started, "I've never seen anyone re-cook pasta on a pan. It's almost like grilling a cookie.". They ate the pasta, which was crunchy.

CHAPTER TWELVE
(Pete's POV)
Pete knew what he needed to do. Go to that stupid power plant or whatever and turn on the power in this specific house. Simple as that, right? Apparently not for Pete. Pete still has a hard time comprehending what happened last night. It's almost uncomfortable for Pete to be around Jenny. It was such a drastic change from 24 hours before, and Pete is certainly one unaccustomed to change. He knew that these next few days would be vital to survival, trying to find a way to survive.
He thought about abstract things. What if he had a net under an apple tree? When do apple trees drop apples? Do apple trees even exist around here? Which fruits in a forest are poisonous?
Pete got slapped back into reality. "Pete, are you dozing off?" Jen asked.
"Most likely, yes." Pete answered.
"Well I was thinking that we need to stick to pantry foods. It's freaking winter. The worst possible time to find food.... I guess spring is coming up soon. See this box?" Jenny held up a box of pasta. "That's right, expiration date April 2nd."
"Can we just focus on one thing at a time? We should just stockpile on twinkies!" Pete joked.
"This is no time for fooling around!" Jenny cried. "Every second we have here is vital to our survival! I need you to.. work with me."
"Well let's go to the car then! Don't we all want to use our phones?" Pete said.
After that sentence they both went to the car. Normally Pete would grab his shoes and comb his hair and do other things to get ready, but does it really matter when no one but Jenny, who lives with her for crying out loud, would see. He thought about the point of wearing clothes anymore. Pete wasn't a political person by any stretch. He couldn't care less about being 'politically correct'. When they both entered the car, Pete turned on the gas, put the car in drive mode and started driving.
"Jenny, you know, when summer comes around, I'm considering just not wearing clothes at all." Pete said.
"That caught me off guard," Jenny said, giggling. "Might as well." Jenny started to pull down her jeans before pulling them back up. "It's cold out, I wouldn't do that now. But in all honesty clothing makes me look good... you'll see. I'll show you when I get home."
"Is this what I think it is?" Pete asked.
"Yes." Jenny said, smiling.
Pete felt an emotion of both embarrassment and yearning. Although he wanted to see, it would be embarrassing to see, right? Not with anyone around, he thought. Pete passed the final red light on the highway and made a right turn into the parking lot near the power station.
"Wanna see what it's like in there, Jen? It's pretty cool." Pete asked.
And so they went in. The power station looked like any old normal building, except, it was hidden behind an electric fence that was opened. Inside the power station there were three rows of six computers. A fourth row in the front had one larger computer, with three monitors. In front of all of the rows was a giant monitor taking up the entire wall showing on a satellite map, which areas had power and which areas didn't. Obviously all the power in the town was off. The town was separated into a lot of little sections marked by a dotted line. Pete went onto the computer with the three monitors.
"I can just click on the section of the town I want to look into, and it'll zoom in just by clicking on it. Then I can literally just click the house we're in, which I believe is this one." Pete pointed toward the screen, and clicked on the house. A light bulb picture appeared in front of the picture before fading away. "It's on."
"Well wasn't I wrong about my career choice!" Jenny mentioned.
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
(Pete's POV)
On the way back from the power station, Pete stopped at a gas station. Pete did not know how to operate a gas station by any means, so he and Jenny took a copious amount of gallons of gas and loaded them into the car trunk. At that point Pete realized that Jenny was wearing shorts!
"Jenny! Don't you realize how cold it is right now?" Pete asked.
"Calm down it's just my gym shorts." Jen said. "I left my jeans in the car.
"Is that what girls do?" Pete asked. "They wear their gym clothes under their regular clothes?"
"Not really, I found it convenient. And besides, when I wear yoga pants, they block the see-through stuff or whatever. I know you boys are all looking there." Jenny jokingly said.
"Whatever you say." Pete answered. "I'm sure Adam was.."
He and Jenny would ensue on a conversation about what happens in each gender's locker rooms, funny stories from school and from their childhoods, and eventually it was almost like the two were comfortable with each other. Pete guessed that Jenny was an expert at this. Pete always undervalues himself. He always thinks the other person is better at whatever. It helps from a competitive standpoint.
After the gas gallons were stockpiled, the two grabbed a ton of food from the convenience store. They started to drive back to the house, and the two were finally just casually talking to each other. And then they got home.
"You told me to do this." Jenny said.
"No I didn't! I'm not ready for this Jenny!" Pete claimed.
"No consequences." Jenny replied.
This struck Pete. There really wasn't any consequence to seeing Jenny reveal, well, herself. Pete was used to just seeing her with cloth surrounding her body, and not without. Pete's reaction to Jenny was shocking, astonished. He was not overreacting when he had a crush on her yesterday. "Yo Jen.. you're fine!" Pete complimented.
Jen came close to Pete. "Was this the first time you thought this?" she asked. She wrapped her arms around Pete's neck.
"No, actually. Didn't I tell you this, I have a crush on you!" Pete confessed. Pete didn't know what he was saying, Pete doesn't know what a girl thinks when someone has a crush on them. Did he used to have a crush on her or does he still have a crush on her? Does that matter? Is it good or bad to have a crush? Well, essentially it's just picking a favorite girl in the school? But is it bad? Pete can't believe he confessed that. If Jenny leaves him here, how would he survive? Would he ever be revived from this? Or is Pete just overreacting? He still doesn't know. "A-And how do you react when I say that?" There was a pause. "No consequences," he whispered.
"Well, isn't that cute." Jenny replied. "Moi, aussi." she said.
"That's French, right?" Pete asked.
"Yep. Me too."

CHAPTER 14
(Jenny's POV)
Pete just admitted to Jen that he had a crush on her. Was that a good thing? What Jen heard about crushes is that usually the two share no interests and never end up staying together long. But it's been about 30 hours, Jen thought. They're off to a good start.
Not to mention the two were comfortable with each other where no one else in the normal world would even be considering doing. But there are no consequences, and Jenny understood that well. She just didn't want to have a kid. Not until they settled in.
After the little affection with Pete, Jenny decided to just go on her phone. It was pleasantly surprising. The internet worked. She was able to see what people tweeted- well, before everyone vanished, anyway- and actually play a game. Pete showed her a video game, NBA 2K 15, and on the player count, it said there was one person online. Yep. It was Pete. And every other human in the world disappeared. It was confirmed, almost. Who knows if there was another couple of people that survived, and just didn't bring a console with them. And that specific game.
"We're the richest and the poorest," Pete started. "We're the best and the worst, we're the first and the last, we're the hottest and coldest." He paused. "We're the cleanest and the dirtiest."
Jenny couldn't hold herself back. "Get dirty, haha." She laughed.
And then she looked out the window, to see that it started snowing. An inch or two has already fallen and they've only been home a solid hour and a half.
"Wow!" Pete exclaimed. Jenny sighed and realized that Pete was one of those people who got real excited about snow.
"Pete, do you realize the dangers of snow?" Jenny asked. "I mean, when it snows out cars slip and slide... On the roads, that won't be plowed! Oh boy oh boy, how much is it gonna snow? I am seriously concerned about this! Does the weather app still work although no one runs the place?"
"Oh shisters!" Pete said. "Better pull out the shovel... Do you have any idea where the snow plows park?"
"You can't be serious." Jenny replied. "You want to get the snow plows now?"
"Better now than later!" Pete said.
"But Pete, you aren't even eligible to have a freaking license yet, and you want to drive through an inch and a half of snow like 10 miles to the snow plows? You don't even know where the keys are to the dumb plows! It's best to wait until the snow melts, or just wait until it just turns into ice! So you can drive over it, not through it." Jenny paused. "The survival of us means the survival of life. Don't you realize that? You can't make a silly stupid mistake that may take your life! Can't you see! If you die, I have no purpose to live!" She started to weep massively. "Don't do this to me Pete! Please!" She hugged him with purpose. She wrapped her legs around his thighs and kissed him multiple times on the left cheek. "I recently realized something. The biology teacher told the class the only purpose for any species to live is to reproduce. And I realize that. It's true! What would I do without you? I don't think I would last 6 hours! Just by myself doing nothing and realize that I would have no purpose to do anything with my life, so why waste it? If I'm going to be the last one alive and there's no possible way I can reproduce, what's the point of even doing anything? So please Pete, don't drive now! I hate to be like a nasty mother but I really, really mean it. And even if I hated you with a passion I would say this. I don't want you to die."
"I guess I could say the same about you." Pete started. "I changed my decision. I'm not going to go get snow plows."
"Thank.... you!" Jenny said. And she smooched Pete like he was the only thing she had left. Except he was.

CHAPTER 15
(Pete's POV)
Pete's eyes were glued to the window facing the car, tracking each snowflake that hit the ground. He watched the car just get covered in snow, and more snow, and more snow. Occasionally a large snow pile would fall off the roof. It was astonishing to him. The weather app told them that it would snow 5-8 inches in the day, and another 4-6 at night before it was supposed to stop. Pete was worried about how fast the snow would melt, because he didn't feel like getting trapped inside this house for days and maybe weeks to come.
"Pete, we know it's snowing." Jenny said, "Can't you do something more useful, like preparing dinner?"
"What time is it?" Pete asked. He looked at his watch. It was 7:21 PM. "What do you want for dinner? I mean, what do we have?"
"I don't know, something good. Let's see how you can cook." Jenny responded.
And so Pete was forced to go look in the pantry closet area, and to his surprise, there was actually a decent amount of food in there. There was pasta, chips, some junk food, fruits, which were separated into a distinct area. "Maybe I could make nachos, or some pasta with red sauce.. where is that?" he thought. He chose the nachos over the pasta. Really all he needed to do was ask Jenny what toppings she wanted and then he could cook it up in the microwave and it would be done. "What toppings do you want, Jen?" he asked.
"On what?" Jenny responded.
"Nachos." Pete replied.
"I don't really care, just make sure to not take forever! I'm hungry" Jenny demanded.
Pete spread out nachos all along the plate, stacked it with cheddar cheese, put cubed chicken on the top of it, and cooked it to perfection. He served it with finesse. The plate wasn't the greatest of all plates of nachos, but it served well for the two.
"Well?" Pete asked.
"Pretty good," Jenny said while chewing. They ate the nachos, in fashion. They ate the nachos quickly, and the two made sure that they enjoyed the nachos. When the plate started to empty, they started to fight over the last few pieces until Jenny ultimately licked the last three nachos. Pete gave up, and in the next instant went around searching the house for a ruler, just to stick outside and measure the snow. He found one near the deck drawer.
CHAPTER 16
(Pete's POV)
Peter opened the front door, and stepped barefoot into the snow where the sidewalk to the house would be. The first thing he noticed was that it was cold- very cold. The second thing he noticed was that it was windy. This snow was a fluffy snow, and it seemed to blow around everywhere, leading to some minor drifts. Pete guessed that it got windier as time went on. and put down the ruler. It measured 9 inches. He left the ruler in the snow for the night. He hopped his way back inside.
"Jenny, it snowed almost 10 inches already." Pete announced.
"So it snowed pretty bad." Jenny said.
"It's still snowing. We probably will end up with a little over a foot." Pete replied. Jenny was on the couch with only her undergarments on, and she was all comfortable in her little spot, almost curled up into a ball on the 'triangle seat.' The couch was set up with two seats facing toward a TV, and then there was a triangle-shaped seat that would turn the couch at a 90 degree angle to fit the other two seats.
Pete turned to go to the room with the couch in it, and laid on the two seats that were facing at a right angle toward the TV. His head rested next to Jenny's feet, which, by no surprise, started to tickle Pete's scalp. And then the legs would rest over his shoulders and onto his chest, in which he flexed to make Jenny laugh. There wasn't much to be laughing about in the next week, Pete thought. It's going to be hell. And then the legs suddenly shifted toward his waist, although they didnt quite reach his waist, and a stomach suddenly pushed against Pete's scalp.
"Your hair tickles me," Jenny said. Pete guessed it was true. His crew cut was famous for poking into things, and Jenny just happened to be another victim of it. She rested her back back down.
"People told me that it feels like a prickly Christmas tree." Pete said. At that moment the wind gusted, making a 'sweesh' noise out the window, and Pete got the chills from it, and twitched.
"Are you okay?" Jenny asked. She shifted her legs outward so that her thighs would pin Pete's arms down at his sides. She sat up again, and this time Pete couldn't see her face. She then proceeded to try and touch her toes, putting Pete in a position where he would be on the verge of consuming her shirt, which happened to be somewhat loose on her- something Pete never saw. Then came the invasion of hair. Each little hair strand would come bite at Pete's cheeks, although it felt like a ticklish "buzz", kind of like how an insect would if one landed on him.
Pete realized he was in a position where he couldn't actually move. He tried moving his arms, only for the ligaments in his shoulders to be crushed by the light weight of Jenny's thigh or buttocks. He grunted in pain, and Jenny laughed. "I got you good," she said, shifting her entire body forward to where she would be sitting on Pete's chest.
"Damn, Jenny. Where did you learn that one from?" Pete asked.
"Cheerleading." She paused. "If they found you slacking they gave you that treatment."
"Sounds aww... ful" Pete said, accidentally raising his voice toward the end, where he would proceed to start tickling Jenny. She giggled and laughed and laid flat on her back on Peter. She turned over and grabbed his wrists, and slammed them into the ground. They would soon be "play fighting" each other. They rolled on the floor, mingling and giggling, rolling off the couch and onto the floor. One thing was for certain, the two were very comfortable with each other. And it's only been around 38 hours.

CHAPTER 17
(Pete's POV)
38 hours. And the last seven hours were spent watching snow fall. And the last 30 minutes of the most recent hour were spent play fighting with Jenny. Who ever knew she was such a sympathetic person? Maybe she's acting, he thought. Or more rather, she is committed to maintaining a good relationship in order to survive. Or just to take advantage of the opportunity they have, two humans of opposite gender in the same house without anyone ever to catch them "red-handed", if they please to do so.
What is being red-handed? What is bad anymore? Pete lives in a world now where he can do whatever he wants without getting in trouble. There's no prison, or jail to be sent to. In that case, he could easily just get mad and take his anger out on Jenny, which may lead to severe side effects. But, ironically, Pete was smarter than this; he knew that he needed Jenny to survive, especially since she weeped to him pondering on what would happen if she was alone. She was right, though. He knew it. How long would Pete last without Jenny? It's the same thing. What does he have to live for? His thoughts dispersed throughout his brain, and he didn't know what he was thinking anymore.
In that awkward transition, Pete was back at the house, the one he dreamed of last night. The one that said "No Consequences" above the door. It was snowing harshly, now. And behind the house there was an interstate highway with a large traffic jam. Bumper to bumper. He knew this time to not let the page fly out the window. He carefully entered the house, and went to the room Jenny was in. The same room as last time. This time Jenny was not wearing a bath robe, but what she would normally wear on a school day- a T-shirt of some sort and yoga pants.
"Hey Jenny," Pete said, "No consequences!". And so it began. This time the alarm clock would not stop him from making his dream come true (how ironic!). He grabbed Jenny on her shoulders, squeezed in her arms, and lifted her up. At that point, he flung her body onto him so his head would rest somewhere between her breast and shoulder. Jenny's legs wrapped around his thighs, again, this time tighter. The force of the thighs was too much for Pete to handle, so he jumped onto the bed with her on the bottom.
With this heave of his, Jenny started to laugh. Pete hugged her and rolled off the bed, Near that sinful window that let the page of the book out. It wasn't there. He looked at the door, which wasn't there either. Bad idea for Pete. Jenny had already re-adjusted herself so she would be sitting with her thighs on Pete's shoulders, so his arms were locked down. She was facing the opposite way this time. With all his might, he lifted his back off the ground, successfully pinning Jenny in the abyss of Pete's crossed legs. Jenny's legs traversed through Pete's neck.
She started to shift her legs upward and she put such a force of gravity on the back of Pete's neck that he faceplanted into Jenny. Pete never thought he could get enough Jenny in one instant, but he did. He then heard music inside Jenny's pants, and he realized it was time to wake up.
He didn't want to wake up.
CHAPTER 18
(Pete's POV)
He woke up after all, not so surprised to find himself drooling on Jenny's stomach. He was using Jenny's stomach as a pillow, and she allowed it? That was weird. He thought that she really took 'No Consequences' to an extreme. Was it the right thing to do? He doesn't know. What kind of girl that someone meets 48 hours ago ends up being a pillow? Pete didn't really care, after all. He really can't get enough Jenny.
He shifted his head a little bit, and Jenny reacted by a frightening awakening, and accidentally slapped Pete in the process.
"Don't worry, I get it." Pete said.
"You were sleeping on me?" she asked.
"That's what I thought." Pete replied.
"Yeah I don't really care. We must live a life, after all." Jenny said.
Pete walked to the front door to look outside. It was almost like a new landscape. It was very hilly, although small hills, these white mountains were made out of a magic material to where the hills could move places. The car was completely covered, although it didn't snow five feet, the drift pushed the snow into the side of the car he can see. He realized after a while that he didn't see the ruler he planted in the ground yesterday.
"Hey Jenny, you want to know how stupid I am?" Pete asked her. She looked up. "I put a ruler in the ground yesterday, and then I told you that it would snow over a foot. Little did I know, a ruler only measures up to a foot."
"So, it snowed a lot?" she asked.
"Yeah. It looks like we got slammed last night, hard. The best way I could describe it is Canada. I'm not going out barefoot." Pete said, laughing.
"Yeah, we have to shovel the driveway, dude." Jenny said, walking toward him. She was already dressed in a snow cap, a snow jacket, and snow pants of beautiful color variety. "I'm not a girly girl, I can go out and help. I mean, we both did sports..."
"I'm not saying that you were never a hard worker." Pete said back.
"Well then, get dressed. I don't want the car to be locked in snow!" Jenny ordered.
Pete went to where his supplies were, and grabbed the heaviest jacket he had, some sweatpants, and some boots. He took off the shorts he had on and turned around to put the sweatpants on. It was a habit he has, and he found Jenny watching him. Was she a stalker, or was she using 'No consequences'?
It was an interesting phenomenon. Yesterday they went from nervous to comfortable with each other, and today they're starting at roommates, where would they end? Pete would rather shovel snow out of a parking lot than think of this all day.

CHAPTER 19
(Jenny's POV)
It was kind of weird, Jenny would admit to herself. She followed him to Pete's room and actually watched him take his pants off just to see him turn around. He looked astonished, and embarrassed. He just hesitated, took a glance at Jenny and then continued changing. It was nothing personal, Jenny just wanted to be comfortable around Pete in all situations. So if, for some reason, he would have to do something that would normally be frowned upon, she wouldn't be surprised at whatever she saw.
They would continue on to shovel snow. It was an awkward silence between the two. Jenny guessing that Pete was scared to talk to her, or was just scarred at what he just saw. He must have been dwelling upon it, although Jenny didn't think it was anything important. Didn't they go over this? Jenny walking around in the house with just her undergarments on? Was Pete still scared to reveal himself, let's say, around Jenny? Is that a guy thing?
Jenny felt like she needed to talk to him. Not about what happened before they went shoveling, even just to say 'Why don't you go shovel around the mailbox?". Needless to say, the snow was tiring. Jenny was having a hard time breathing to shovel all the snow. She guessed it was her workout for the day, and she didn't mind being able to stay in shape.
After what seemed like an eternity of shoveling, they finally finished. Pete was walking back into the house, and Jenny decided this was a perfect moment to strike. She just wanted to play. She sprinted to catch up to Pete and tackled him over to the side, where they piled all the snow from the area, to play. At first, Pete freaked out, and then he realized that Jenny was just trying to have fun, so he rolled over and pushed Jenny through the snow, effectively creating a small little cave where Jenny hid. Then he started to cover over her face with some snow, and she started laughing.
"Help me up you dingus!" she said.
"Not if you keep tackling me into snow," Pete sarcastically replied. Pete grabbed Jenny's arm and dragged her through the snow, then a sudden force uprighted Jenny in a split second, which actually unbalanced Jenny where she would have to use him as a support, and almost knocked him over in the process. She stayed at Pete's side with a constant hug, walking up to the front door. "We skipped breakfast, didn't we?"
"Yep." Jenny replied, who lifted her legs off the ground and slowly slid down the 5 foot 8 pole known as Pete. She laid on the ground while Pete walked in the house in front of her. She stayed there. She was out of energy.

CHAPTER 20
(Pete's POV)
Pete shut the door behind him, leaving Jenny laying on her stomach in front of the front door. He thought for a second. Was she crazy, or was he crazy? Because what Jenny did to him was not normal... maybe she's a little kid. Or, of course, she takes 'no consequences' seriously. Is this repeating again? Jenny was more open? Was he scared to reveal his true self?
"Stop." Pete said aloud, telling his mind to stop thinking about this, as it was annoying the crap out of him. He opened for the door to notice Jenny was still laying there. She was looking at him, and even though there was a piece of Jenny's clothing covering up her mouth, she was smiling and possibly giggling. Pete tried to be generous to her. At first he offered her a hand, but after a while he just dragged her into the house. The snow marks from Jenny's jacket wiped all over the area in front of the front door.
"My mom would normally punish me for this." Jenny said. "One time I did that to her and for five minutes she was telling me to get up. I like to be disobedient, it's funny."
Pete was nervous yet again, he just didn't want to mess up. What was there to mess up when you had no consequences? If they got into a situation where they couldn't live any longer, then they messed up. But who was there to not make them live? It was weird, he thought.
It seemed like forever to walk from the front door to the kitchen. Jenny decided they were having something small and near expiration date. "You know," she started, wiping sweat off her forehead, "we're going to be trapped here for a few days. We need to be smart about the materials we use. If we are smart enough, we can survive the month. And then spring starts."
"Okay," Pete said. He kept it short, because he wanted to look like a perfect person in front of Jenny. But Jenny, to Pete, was acting more natural. Was she hiding a lot in the public world? Was he hiding a lot in the public world? He was even hiding his emotions in front of Jenny. Pete put himself in a hole. Now he has to act more natural.. What is natural? If he wanted to hug Jenny, would he do it in the middle of nowhere? Was it necessary to do that or was it just a natural reaction? Whatever Jenny was doing worked, because Pete was jealous of her ability to transition into such a different lifestyle. And he was sure there was more transitioning to do.
Jenny made the breakfast, which consisted of fruits. A lot of strawberries and some blueberries that were put into a blender and they split the meal. It was like drinking a water bottle for breakfast, except it tasted good and it filled him up somehow. It was a small meal, he thought.
He wanted to confess to Jenny about this being nervous stuff and acting naturally, but he felt like it was time to start to make a transition before he confessed. What would be the transition? How could he start? Would he throw Jenny onto the couch for no reason at all? Was it necessary? It could just be a conversation about something, or even just a comment.
"Okay," Pete said with confidence. "I'm going to go get the snow plows."
"Oh no you won't." Jenny said, laughing. At that moment, Pete had a brilliant idea.
CHAPTER 21
(Pete's POV)
"Jenny, I have a brilliant idea." Pete said. He swallowed. "We could grab some food from the neighbors. How can you blame me? No one else is alive but us."
"That's actually a pretty good idea. I don't know what we should get, or where I could find a basket or something to put the food in. Why don't we go for a tour of our own house before we do anything else." Jenny replied.
Pete found it funny how he never decided to take a tour of the house. The only places he even went in are the kitchen, living room, and the dining room, which were all connected on the left side of the house. There was still an unexplored upstairs, and the other side of the house. They walked to the front door and went into the unexplored room over to the right, which had a full gaming set for a serious gamer.
"Whoa," Pete exclaimed. "An entire gaming set?! I've seen some of these on the internet, but oh my God this is absolutely insane." In this room there was a glass desk with three monitors on top, curved to fit into the back corner. There was one of those gaming chairs that, if Pete recalled correctly, was supposed to help with back support. On the other side of the room was a small couch with two seats, and a whole stack of consoles, everything from a Playstation 2 to the more recent Xbox One and PS4. He touched the desk with his finger and slid it down a few inches. "Who would ever spend this much time, effort, and money to play games?"
"You." Jenny said. "You brought a console for nothing.. there's more gaming things here than I knew even existed." There was a bin to the right of the glass desk, closed up. He opened it up, to see neatly organized games from every console. It was almost like they were at a game shop. "Can we move on?"
"Yeah." Pete said.
They moved out of the room, and opened a door to the left of the desk, and it connected back into the living room area. So Jenny turned around first, not before landing a random kiss on Pete's cheek, and walked upstairs. It was a weird setup, Pete could admit. The stairs curved to the left, and the entire left side of the house was devoted to what he thought was the parent's room. There was an older computer in the room with a calculator on the side, and even it's own bathroom! "Who puts a bathroom in their own room? These people must be rich." Pete said.
They quickly examined the white rug, the massive window overlooking the entire driveway on the left, and to the right was a king size bed, which was unmade. Then they left, and went to the other side of the upstairs, which was split into two rooms. He went to the one on the right, and noticed that the wall was very thin. Then he looked up and saw that this wall could actually fold up and be pushed against the back wall. He guessed whoever were the parents of this place had two kids. One of them had gaming posters all over them, and the other room was decorated with Philadelphia Eagles posters and garments. The one with gaming posters had a pink wall and a purple rug, and a drawer, which when they looked in, had makeup and girl clothes in them. The other room was more guyish, with a dark green rug and had a collection of Eagles quarterback jerseys displayed in his closet. He read "McNabb, Vick, Foles" and then looked through the older ones and didn't recognize any names.
"Interesting set of kids." Pete said.
"Don't you like video games?" Jenny asked.
"Well, I mean what guy doesn't have a console and at least play video games once in a while?" Pete responded.
"I'll take that as a yes. That being said, I like football- Why do you think I became a cheerleader?" Jenny asked.
"Well if you like football, why didn't you play football?" Pete asked.
"Look at me! I'm a hundred pounds, you would destroy me! I'm five foot five, I wouldn't have any reach over any of the defensive backs. I have a problem with my right knee ever since 8th grade... Samantha dropped me from a full pyramid stance and I landed solely on my right leg, essentially destroying my right knee. I was on crutches for 3 months! But anyway, I do remember going to that one game after I got hurt.. I sat behind on the football player's bench. I remember you gave me a look, pointed at me, and then on the very next play you ran the ball like 50 yards for a touchdown." Jenny explained.
"You know, that was my only touchdown, ever. You would think they would give me the ball more," Pete replied. "Good times..."
