| Unless you're trying to bomb something you should be fine with them being able to look at your files. |

| I love the fact that they need to store my data somewhere, and to do that, its costs them money. |

Nothing, does that mean it's ethical for businesses and the Government to be looking through all of your stuff?

it's not like there are options to turn it off or anything. Or that Cortana actually helps solve issues with this information, with no internet. No siree. |

They still collect data even when you turn it off.

@why, "They still collect data even when you turn it off." Proof?
"Cortana is useless" Brother had an issue that the internet ticker did not turn on, with no internet Cortana told him to press a certain key on his keyboard because it knew his keyboard. The internet switch then worked, problem solved. Think again. |

Microsoft has extended Telemetry to Windows 7 and 8

you're naive if you actually believe changing a setting will make them stop spying on you it likely makes you a more interesting target to them since they'll assume you have something to hide/you are an advanced user

@why, You missed the point. You got proof, but that still doesn't counter that they do nothing harmful with it.
"Or you could just not be a complete idiot and solve issues on your own" You missed the point. x2 The point here is that it can solve issues that you have trouble with. It's also faster and more efficient at solving issues than a human troubleshooting. |

Anyone spying on you and collecting your data and taking screenshots of your desktop is not trying to do anything good.

Question is, why would they care about my life? I have nothing interesting to look at on my computer. Just a bunch of old school projects and stories I started writing but never finished.
