It's a lot easier, yes, it's not more efficient.
Honestly it's very unsatisfying because the client will not receive immediate input, it will feel delayed, which nobody wants.
I would bounce information off the server and have logic so that every individual client handles weapon sound effects and what not. It would allow immediate input and it would replicate to your needs, you could code it as you please. just preference, though, there's a lot of ways to go about it.

Forgot about immediate input. So I should draw the ray client-side too along with the server?

Thing is with handling more stuff on all-clients, I want to handle nearly everything on clients or the minimum, I guess.

Like I said, bounce information off the server using remotes, have a network API made so that you can listen and respond to that as anticipated.
You could fire to the server when you shoot the gun, and supply the parameters with the ray's end position, the name of the gun, the sound that should play, blah blah.

Dude I know what I *CAN* do but if I'm doing a network management thing, I'm not going to do it just for guns. That's too time consuming rn.
