Are you telling me Rockefeller earned his wealth 'fairly'?
Billionaires should NOT be the deciding force and mass funding for Presidential candidates. Bernie Sanders supports a PEOPLE-ONLY foundation.

| You probably think that rich people should have to pay a higher % of tax than the poor. |

Someone who makes 10,000 a year should NOT be having to pay taxes equivalent to somebody who makes 500,000 a year. |

they earned their money, it is only logical for them to be taxed the same amount as everyone else. |

@killer
and why would you say that? socialism is all about equality, and that is far from equal. it is also unconstitutional. |

"But that’s not likely the case. Last year, economists found that the point at which the top tax rate is high enough to maximize government revenues but not so high that it discourages the rich from trying to earn more is quite high: about 95 percent for the 1 percent. History bears that out. Economists have pointed out that post-war American growth has been higher during periods with much higher top marginal tax rates and lower when tax rates were substantially lower. When the top rate was more than 90 percent in the 50s, economic growth averaged more than 4 percent a year. But recently when the top rate has been closer to 35 percent, growth has been less than 2 percent a year on average. The point of higher tax rates isn’t just to penalize the rich, of course. They would need to serve a policy function. For Sanders, that’s combatting income inequality. “If you have seen a massive transfer of wealth from the middle class to the top tenth of one percent, you’ve got to transfer that back,” he told Harwood. A 90 percent top tax rate could achieve that goal. The same economists who found that the rich can swallow a 95 percent rate also found that a 90 percent tax rate for the 1 percent could significantly reduce the Gini index, a measure of income inequality. It would also help lower wealth inequality. Meanwhile, everyone’s wellbeing would improve, rich and poor alike."

and the top .1% is FULL of money because they worked extremely hard for it, much more than the unemployed percentage which is overly poor and rising every day

how is it logical for a man who makes millions to have the same taxes as a man who can barely even buy two meals for him
how is it fair that the top .1% of americans HAVE MORE THAN the bottom 200% |

That source can't be taken as relevant when it's a pure opinion driven interview. "Meanwhile, everyone’s wellbeing would improve, rich and poor alike." There is no proof that it would. |

a wise man once said, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
we are doing nothing to stop the gap between the poor and the rich - and with colleges demanding too much money for some families, it's difficult for people to /EARN/ money and get a job.

'HAVE MORE THAN the bottom 200%'
ah yes the 200.1% of americans
'how is it logical for a man who makes millions to have the same taxes as a man who can barely even buy two meals for him'
its because the guy who makes 10,000 a year would pay 1000 dollars
and the guy who makes 1 million would pay 100000 dollars |

i was referring to the economic growth part of it
taxing the top .1% more than the bottom 90% will result in economic growth and putting more money into the economy |
