Like, British accents sound really refined and intelligent, and some sound very cheerful. German and Scottish accents sound tough. Icelandic accents sound adorable and funny. Australian accents sound like British accents except with a certain wildness to them. etc..
Are these all just like stereotypes? Because usually when I hear those kinds of accents that's what I think of... |

No, I have one, too, but since I'm so accustomed to it, I don't get those mental images, too, which is why I was wondering. |

In the North Eastern US, there's the Boston accent and New York accent, but everywhere else in like Rhode Island and Connecticut and states that people don't really care about, we have no accent whatsoever. I'm sure there's a few other accents here that I forgot about, but we basically have no accent, and it's true.

| Ohioans don't have much of an accent, but from what I've noticed, we add an s to everything, especially stores. Meijer is Meijers here. |

Papa, thanks for that explanation.
"What about Canadian?"
Canadian accents sound like a lot like American accents but quieter and sweeter. |

I don't have an accent, because I am unable to speak, but if I did have a voice I'm sure my accent would be a German one.
OP thinks he's so smart when his stupidity is so stupid it actually borders intelligence |

It really depends where.
Someone from Pennsylvania and someone from Boston sound very different.
Boston sounds kind of throaty, and quite rough and cheerful. Pennsylvania just sounds, I guess what I think of a typical American accent.
I'm biased probably, because I am British lol. |

You can't speak? Pardon my rudeness, but how come? And German accents are really cool.
"OP what do you think of Appalachian accent So?"
They sound really happy, cheerful, and silly.

Well if you're looking for New York, you'll see remnants of an older type of talking from the 20's or something.
For example if someone were to say the word: verse, it would come out more like:
voyce
Again, the accents there really aren't that strong anymore, just a remnant of it if you will. |

I agree with you on the Boston thing. I'm not sure about Pennsylvania, I haven't heard many accents from there. |
