Bonjour, hello, and thank you for reading the Empire of France's Handbook!
[Information] This is a Napoleonic based group. We like to follow the rules of history but RARELY we do fictional things. Uniforms are to be worn at all times (When on duty). If you cannot afford the uniform then make sure you save up for it!
Group: http://www.roblox.com/My/Groups.aspx?gid=2668415
[Firing]
We use 5 types of firing in this group. 1) Volley Fire: Soldiers stand near their commanding officer and fire on his/her command. (Reload only when your officer tells you too unless you have a bayonet on then you auto reload)
2) Fire by File: Soldiers fire one by one until they reach the end of the line.
3) Fire by rank: Soldiers line up in rows either in front or behind people. The officer will call what line fires first by saying "First rank fire" or whatever rank/line you are. A great example of this fire is shown in the Zulu Movie.
4) Independent fire at will: When an officer yells independent fire at will that means you can shoot at an enemy without being told when to reload or shoot.
5) Fire and advance: This is often used during a charge. Sometimes an officer will yell "Fire and advance" that means that you will fire your musket at an enemy while charging at the same time.
[Formations]
1) Square: Form a square with soldiers on all sides making the square as even as possible. Officers will stand in the center of the square.
2) Arrowhead: Form an arrow with the soldiers.
[Musket Commands] Shoulder Arms: [F], Parade Arms: [G], Bayonet Charge: [V], Fix/Unfix Bayonets: [B], Make Ready: [N], and Order Arms: [T]
[Problems] If you have any problems with anyone in the group please PM me.
[Basic rules] No racism, discrimination, or hatred towards anyone.
[Addressing people] An Officer (MR Lieutenant+) is to be addressed as "Monsieur ( if a male), or "Madame" (if a female)
An LR higher than you is suppose to be addressed as their rank.
The Emperor (Me) is suppose to be addressed as "Seigneur", or "Emperor" When you see the Emperor you are to stop and salute to him.
This concludes the basic handbook. Au revoir! Goodbye!
