I am a noob on Forums, and never really gone of forums that much, so yea. But I thought I'd want to post this.
Why is live worth living? And is it worth living? That's a question a good friend of mine on ROBLOX asked me. This is an easy question with an easy answer for some, but a hard one for others. My friend use to have depression, but he got over it. Today he said he might get it again.
He said that the only meaning to life was to reproduce and die, and there was no goal in life. Of course, I disagreed. But when I thought over it. I thought, maybe he has a point... but I don't want to believe that.
My answer to him was, that life does have a meaning, and it is our job to find it, if it isn't obvious. I also said a lot more, a bit too much to type here, but yea.
He, of course, wasn't very convinced. Can someone have a good reason why life is worth living? Something that someone would be easily convinced with.
Thanks. |

If I was ever asked this question I would say something really stupid, for example.
"God got lazy." "Dog spelled backwards is god. Therefore, dogs are irrrumeeenaaateeeeeeee."

Life is what you make it.
Your friend should try looking at the positives in life. I fell in a deep depression 4 years ago, but I'm doing a million times better. Never understood people saying that life isn't worth living. Your how old? You've only lived not even a quarter of your life, there's a lot more to it than just your teenage years. |

From my perspective, the question that you asked is a unique enigma: to some, it may be a relatively simple inquiry to respond to, but for others, it may seem as though it is hopeless, nonetheless, I shall provide you with my opinion in regards to your question:
Life is worth living because through oneself lives those that he or she cares about; with that being said, loved ones and acquaintances/friends alike live through you, and thrive upon your success and happiness, assuming that they do not envy. I'm aware that there are a lot of people in the world that do not consider life to be precious due to their misfortune and overwhelming adversities, but I must say, it may be convenient to turn against oneself and stand against life itself, but it must be taken into consideration that it does not just affect that particular individual, but those around him or her.
Although things may seem bleak and dreary, things do tend to improve in-time through the hardships that one endures, and through that, that individual becomes a stronger (and generally better) person throughout their future endeavors.
So you see, life is worth living because it enables a person to fulfill their destiny, while also making their own choices along the way to mold and shape their future, which in-turn helps him or her learn new things along the way, all while inspiring others to set a similar, positive self-image for themselves upon their future trials and tribulations, and through this, one changes world in some way shape or form and I believe that is why we're here: to benefit others through changing the world for the better.
That is why life is worth living, from my perspective. |
