No, but you can make them into a union using CSG.

@Leitris
That is something different, unions don't reduce lag. Unions just UNION the parts together, they don't actually become one solid part like a mesh. |

"Using Solid Modeling offers several advantages beyond creating new shapes. An object created by Solid Modeling is a single part. This can result in a significant part count reduction in your game which will increase performance. If your game was using models comprised of many parts, consider combining the parts with Solid Modeling to make your game run faster."

Sorry to burst your bubble, but unions don't make anything laggier, they actually help performance by turning several entities into the equivalent of one.

@LeitrisArcade If I take a solid model, of course I can resize it but it only resizes all sides instead of one indivudual side. With a mesh, I can distort any side I want.
Unions won't work on a model with 1000+ parts in it.

| Damn....when did a forum that was supposed to be for scriptures become so idiotic. The ability to create meshes was deleted a long time ago due to.....certain meshes that were created. No, you cannot upload meshes to rob lox anymore. The closest you can get is unioning, which personally, I like much better because it allows for contact with the player. |

| @Cheese135 Would you like to point out where I ever have mentioned uploading a mesh? I said converting parts into a mesh. |

This is true, which is why I said "No" initially. I don't know why you're still asking about meshes.

| Solid modeling was irrelevant to my question, all you had to say was "No." |

"when did a forum that was supposed to be for ***scriptures*** become so idiotic." Whoa since when did we create and start preaching out of the scripters' bible?
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but unions don't make anything laggier, they actually help performance by turning several entities into the equivalent of one." Unions actually hurt performance for the most part -- they have extremely specific use cases. Comparing a union and its equivalent in parts, when both are anchored, the parts will be better on performance. PhysicsData takes a long time to download, and you don't even need to download any physics for parts. PhysicsData increases load times. MeshData takes longer to download than the size property for parts, so that's why you see unions popping in instead of all at once. MeshData is also harder for your hardware to process than normal part geometry. The PhysicsData isn't entirely accurate either, so the bounding boxes will be less precise meaning there will be invisible walls/etc for union collisions when you try to walk on them, and if you try to shoot past them your bullet will be stopped by an invisible wall.
Unions will only be beneficial in the following cases: -You can't make the shape reasonably with normal parts -You need to fix z-fighting and material alignment mismatches -The model is unanchored (number of parts is only really important with unanchored parts and welds)
There is no way for you to upload your own meshes though. Sorry. |

| Btw, you can't colour unions or morph them to stretch on the sides. |

| I negated a part into another part and made a union. I then proceeded to colour it and nothing happened. You are wrong. |
