British tanks and infantry are far superior- It'd be like Thermopylae. If it escalated to nukes, no-one wins.
Look up BlacktailDefense for facts on US Equipment deficiency
it actually quite shocked me, but the British Army could indeed win a ground war against the US due to far superior technology

Also the US has far superior numbers with decent technology.

It obviously wouldn't, but it's known that in a classic Cold War scenario, no-one wins because of nuclear missiles. In a ground war, NATO would win.
As to your point, I completely agree that a ground war would never happen, but it's an interesting statistic considering the US' massive numbers.
Meh, love it or hate it, I looked at numbers and did some thinking.

In a conventional war, the army with air and naval superiority will win in a heartbeat.
US fleets could blockade the UK for weeks on end, and starve it to surrender, or just destroy the entirety of its military infrastructure with airstrikes and naval artillery.
In the event that, for some reason, US troops and UK troops are fighting on the ground in a city, the US might still have the upper hand because it has extensive experience in urban combat from the War on Terror. |

| Adding to the fact that the US has superiority of numbers, UK forces would not stand a chance against a well-equipped force several times their size. |

If it was just America vs Britain (without nukes) then idn who'd win. Nato (excl) America (no nukes) Nato would win. Nato vs russia, korea, china (and thoes *edgy* countries) nato would win. |

Also, in the comments of one of the tank videos, there are multiple veterans saying that the tank performs far better than the video claims.
"my tank was hit by 4 RPG shells and came home alive"
Only 2 M1 Abrams were put permenantly out of service, all others repaired

VS Russia china and Nk, remember, your up against the worlds most powerful nuclear power, the 1st and 3rd largest army in the world. Russia has high quality tanks and planes, also they have a massive amount of corvettes and their helicopters are top notch to.

But considering that the Abrams can't even take RPG-7 rounds, and Dorchester armour can withstand direct 105mm shells without giving their crews lung disease and cancer from depleted uranium dust *cough* industry payoff *cough*, Britain would be the equivalent of the 300, with a single Challenger 2 regiment being able to defeat masses of defective Abrams tanks.
Fun fact: The M4 Sherman's main gun can actually pierce Sherman armour.
British infantry are better trained and have superior weaponry, but it'd be slightly balanced with the Zerg rush of septics-
BUT
Britain actually uses tanks properly instead of sending them off into a desert run, do the BAF could win.
Anyway, what I said earlier: It wouldn't happen anyway. I'm just literally pointing out some facts.

First of, Britain and the US are best friends.
Secondly, no, they would not. Technology of the major NATO countries (Germany, United States, and Britain), are basically the same, as they use much of the same designs plus some secret add ons for each country. The US military has a MUCH higher budget as well, meaning better training and equipment. I did an overview of some of those videos, he fails to mention the good sides of US equipment, and a lot of the things he says tend to be old statistics.
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. |

Assuming the US fought the UK in a ground war, US forces would likely win.
Numbers, combat experience, significantly greater operational support, more experienced commanders; the UK may have a longer training regimen, but the US has a greater advantage in nearly every other significant category. |

Nah, British infantry is much better- That comes from numbers, as since the British military is quite small, troops have to be well-trained to meet the same effective force of, say, Germany or the USA.
The L85A2 is as accurate as the M16A4, and about half the side. The Americans have a great budget and great ideas, but they seem to miss those little flaws that then become a huge issue. Look at some of the Dare to Compares, the useful ones are Challenger 1/2 vs Abrams, and Bradley vs FV107 Scimitar.
The equipment is NOT the same, but I say again: WAR WOULDN'T HAPPEN, OKAY? IT'S A BUNCH OF FACTS.

Russia also has badass sniper rifles that can pierce tank armour aka PTRS-41. |

a challenger 2 survived 8+ RPG shots, at night, while stationary. None got through it's possibly layered armour (how the armour made is classified)
all challengers 2 sent to iraq came back.
not to mention a centurion 2 survived being hundreds of yards away from a nuclear explosion test, despite from being sandblasted and pushed back over 100 yards, it was in working order, went to vietnam where it survived a RPG shot (which injured one crew member, nothing serious) and retired
