writers note: guess what, it's back and better than anything most of you will ever write
hahaha i can have an ego too see?
Warning: Bit of a read up ahead. This is the largest roleplay I've made so far, in or out of a collab.
~|Plot|~
"I remember it like it occurred yesterday. The preacher, a grim expression upon his face, was telling the gathering crowd, 'King David is dead.' His soul stretches beyond our comprehension, into the realm of the after life, departing our humble sanctuary and continuing the cycle, awarding the crown to his only son, Edward. Long live the king!' Yes, it was a sad day, for David had been a good king, one of the best, if the books I read out of recalled correctly. Previous kings had been greedy and harsh, yet David considered the needs of his followers. New laws to better the people were put in play, and as such the doctors made every attempt to save him. Not even the best of my time, Abraham King, was able to temporarily halt the king's death," a wrinkly old man with, a wheeze and hair white as snow said, pausing occasionally to cough or sneeze.
"The death of the king, of course, meant that the son of the great king, Edward, would receive the title of king. People were not sure whether it would be a welcomed change or not, at first; there was much evidence to show that David had been one of the few good kings of our majestic land for a very long time, but we were soon wiped of our doubts as Edward quickly proved to be an even better king than David. While we remained an economic and cultural power for our world, Edward also expanded upon our military front, and began conquering new lands, adding onto our empire, and adding laws along the way to better our way of life."
The elderly man fell silent, a solemn expression forming upon his face as he recalled the days that somehow took the strong, independent king, one with so much potential to better the kingdom.
"Then something changed in Edward, for he became harsh and cruel, much like the king David became a successor for. He ruined the golden age of our kingdom, turning us into filthy barbarians, focused only on conquest, forming the largest empire known to mankind, yet also, in the process, destroying the once peaceful traditions of our great nation. No one but Edward himself knows what stirred in his mind that made him lose his way, but it was large enough to transform him into a ruthless king, focused on no one but himself," he continued, now coughing a bit more often but continuing on with his story.
"We didn't put up with it, of course. A new potential ruler rose from the shambles of our tortured nation, claiming himself to be the rightful heir to the throne, to be part of the royal blood line. Alchemists were able to prove that he was untruthful, that his words were not of fact but of lies. But, something inside the hearts of us citizens made us consider the situation; this new imposturous heir to the throne may perhaps prove to be more of a king than Edward will ever manage to be, unless he has found his way again. We found it unlikely, but the new claimant, William, may just end our suffering and put an end to Edward's reign of tyranny." The man was now trembling, coughing more than ever as he ushured the listeners away.
~|Story|~
The son of the old King David, Edward, had become a tyrant focused more on the militaristic power of Eutura, rather than the previous era of prosperity in wealth, culture, and science. Now, rather than the new inventions that were once being crafted every few months, men and women are lucky to invent a new recipe, and even that effort takes years. Education has never been poorer, and it seems that the world power has collapsed on top of itself. However, in the ruin of the Euturan Kingdom, a man by the name of William claimed himself to be of the royal blood line. Despite him being later proven to be incorrect, there was still speculation that this man could perhaps be the salvation the kingdom of Eutura was looking for. The Euturan Kingdom has been split, split into a civil war between the claimant William and the true king Edward, those seeking a change and those still loyal to the crown of Eutura. Chaos ensues, even for those that wish to remain neutral in the war, simply trying to survive the brutal battles and the ever growing death count. Their chances are slim.
~|Lore and Religion| The most common religion, Zenthes, is one that has spreaded throughout the continent through the ages. It contains a pantheon of several main gods, and includes a story of how the universe was created during a godly war. A selection from a book describing the founing of the universe is placed here.
- Long ago, there was no universe. There was only the Aether, a beautiul place where gods resided and acted very much so like humans. There were countless gods, too many to count. However, these gods had a single ruler, one by the name of Anok. He was described as the most powerful god, one who could tear down an entire palace with only a thought. H was very cruel, much like King Edward. And so, much like the present situation in Eutura, there was a large rebellion.
The leader of the rebellion, Arigin, was the god of war and victory. His power, alongisde his army size, seemed to confirm a decisive victory that would end the reign of tyranny that Anok had plagued the Aether with for centuries upon centuries. However, in stead it was a slaughter, and for over three centuries neither side managed to collect an advantage.
But then, one day, Arigin launched a massive strike against the palace of Anok, resulting in a battle that would later be known as the Battle of the Fates. It ended with the destruction of the body of Anok, and a tremendous explosion that awoke even the most ancient slumbering gods, though they were luckily peaceful. However, the destruction of the god emperor instead resulted in the creation of the place we know as the universe; it is literally the new body of Anok, a massive ever growing celestial object that is impossible to destroy no matter how many gods assault it.
The gods decide to use this place as a replacement for their previous home, which had been destroyed by the sheer force of the explosion. Gods took over small territories, and the god of life and earth teamed together to begin creating worlds, worlds filled with flora and animals, and, the most important, the world of Ezerth, in which the roleplay takes place. Of course, Arigin found out. Rather than being mad, though, he instead declared that a new being of mortals shall be froged here, and such is how humanity came to be.
~|Geography of Eutura~|
The roleplay takes place in a universe alternate to our own. The atmosphere, sentient beings, and even nonsentient beings are the same, however the continents and civilizations are quite different.
Eutura itself is based in the continent of Lezath. It is a relatively large empire, its origins being in a large city situated in between two mountains, providing a great amount of metals and other resources. Both enhance the military power greatly and allow for trading with other civilizations. The area not based upon the mountain is generally used for farmland and caravan trading routes. A great river extends from the ocean about 50 miles eastward, and is about 10 miles from the walls of the inner city. The river, in all, manages to snake from one coast line to the other. This provides both a fresh source of water for drinking and great farm land. Many farmers reside here. There is also a very small desert in the southern Euturan territories. Very few live there, though due to this the ones that do have access to large amounts of land.
~|Locations|~
There are a few locations in Euturan territory that prove to be of great importance. They are listed here, and it should be noted that roleplayers are expected to not have to ask an admin or another roleplayer what a location listed here is, as if I say an event is happening at a location it is likely described here.
Ordigan: The largest city in Eutura, and the capital, it houses the royal palace and is the location of King Edward and his most prized loyalists. The city can almost be recognized as the wondrous center of culture and monetary wealth it was many years ago. The buildings from this golden age still stand, their architectural significance very obvious. In the center of the city is a massive fountain made to worship the king of the gods in their religion[more about that later]. The palace is located far back, near the mountains, making it highly defended, both by natural and man made walls.
Mount. Zarath: Mount. Zarath is a massive yet inactive volcano located northwards of Ordigan. The city of Locatus is put in place here. The mountain is named after the god of fire and wrath, Zarath. There are rumors that the volcano is soon to erupt, though there is no proof of such an event occurring as of yet. The walls are made out of a strange black metal that is apparently found no where else.
Port David: Founded by King David himself in order to increase the amount of trade between his own empire and the nations owned by others, today it remains to be one of the most powerful trade centers in the world being home to many nobles and sailors. A large portion of the Euturan navy is established here as well, a shipyard being not to far away. The port was established as the life of King David neared a close.
Gertios: When the newly crowned King Edward went insane he managed to conquer many of the greatest cities, the biggest of which was the Ergian city of Gertios, being known for having 3 rivers very close by, almost running through it, and the grand temple praising the gods situated in the center of the city, much like in Ordigan.
The White Sea: The body of water the large river of the EverWhite starts from, The White Sea is recognized as the White Sea due to it is slightly lighter appearance than normal due to the fact that over time the amount of storms known to occur in this area have caused it to throw and twist sand, eventually breaking get down to turn it white. There is also rumor of another out of world force ruling over the sea, giving it the white color. The sea Port David is built on.
The Crater Wall: According to some of the worlds more educated scientific minds, along with the studying of the giant rocks in the ground, meteors hit the land some time ago, and made a natural border across the land. The fragments of the meteors are respected by a fair amount of people suspecting that they had been sent as a gift from the gods, and so no one has tried to make a claim to these space originated rocks.
~|Classes|~
While different classes specialize in different areas, all classes can perform all actions, though it is suggested that you keep to what you are good at in order to ensure you survive. The classes are listed here, and you may only choose one.
Knight: The knights are essentially the melee class of the roleplay. They are better suited warring on the front lines, killing their opponents with great swords and powerful hammers and axes. Their armor is made of iron, and it is also mixed with a tunic, slightly. They gain advantages when fighting in melee combat.
Sub Classes:
Vanguard:Vanguards used to simply be Knights, but, at the start of the war, they became a rather specialised band of fighters that are put at the front of the formation to scare away calvary from killing their regular warriors. They also have smoke pots, which were developed by alchemists to realease a large bubble of smoke that is nearly impossible to see through, blocking line of sight to pesky Archers.
Men of War: Men of war are the exact opposite of Knights, instead getting a light leaher chest piece and any weapon that can maim, wound or kill an enemy. Most are armed with hatchets and broadswords, but some have been seen carrying wooden clubs to battle. Men of War carry sall oil pots, that, when lit, makes any area (excluding water) burst into flames.
Archer: A class focused mainly on ranged combat, the archer is armed mostly with bows, firing from a distance and providing support and defenses. The archer class gains advantages in defensive positions, as well as a bonus for ranged combat.
Sub Classes:
Crossbowmen: Crossbowmen are skilled in the art of the crossbow, and while archery is a preferred method by many due to it's short "reload" time, the crossbow can both short farther and dish out more damage, even if the reload time is incredibly slow.
Assassin: The assassin is a stealth based class, essentially being used to sneak and eliminate opposition from the shadows. They gain a bonus for all attacks revolving around sneak attacks.
Doctor: While many are scared of the fine 'doctors' they will admit that they probably wouldn't be alive right now because of it. They are usually behind the frontlines, taking patients as they come and go. Though there are doctors who do go into the front lines, putting soldiers back into the fight.
Sub-class
Alchemist: Alchemists aren't in the fray usually, they instead brew potions, like the substance used for the vanguards. They also specialize in making potions that cause large explosions, making it incredibly difficult to know what is truly going on in the battlefield when the potions start dropping.
The Lightning Riders: The Lightning Riders are a variation of cavalry focussed more on speed than anything else, the hopes being that they move too fast for the vanguards, charging in before they are able to prepare their formations. Lightly armored but incredibly fast.
Sub Class:
Rough Riders: The rough riders are suposed King Edward's 'counter' to the the lighting riders, being greatly armored though slower than The Lightning Riders. They are great at defense and offense but are greatly reduced in speed compared to the usual cavalry troops.
Royalty [ADMIN ONLY!]: Kings, princes, queens - you name it, royalty is perhaps the most powerful classes. They are able to chose benefits in two areas, rather than the usual one for other classes. Known members of the Royalty Class are figures such as King Edward and William.
~|Factions|~
Aside from the two combatting sides in the civil war, there are also some very important factions that must be kept in mind. They play important parts in the plot and will play a major part in furthering a story.
Eutura: Eutura, obviously, is the main faction in the rolepaly, and also serves as the most powerful empire to exist in the area. It is currently ruled by King Edward, the capital city is Ordigan. It is considered to be the holy empire of the largest religion, Zenthes. Few can say they have stood against Eutura and survived, due to it's large military power. There is fragments of the once existing golden age that once took hold of the empire.
Arigins Shield: Arigins Shield is the name given to the rebels after about a month of fighting. Arigin is known to be the king of the gods in the religion Zenthes. He is the god of war and victory, and he became even more important after King Edward began to lose his previously kind attitude. He is often depicted carrying with him a shield forged of black metal very similar to the material the wall is made out of on Mount Zarath. The rebellion is about a quarter of the Euturan population, the rest being terrified out of their wits. The location of the rebelions "headquarters" is unknown.
The Lotus Brotherhood: The Lotus Brotherhood is only a faction rumored to exist, though there is strong evidence that it does. It is said that The Lotus Brotherhood is a group of men organized into a secret society, praising gods that are not accepted in the Euturan empire. Their practices are generally considered to be too harsh, including the likes of sacrifice, adultery, etc. The Lotus Brotherhood are a common enemy for many of the people in Eutura.
The Men of Knowledge: The Men of Knowledge are a collection of scientists, teachers and doctors. While the do not partake in combat directly, they do focus on scheming up battle strategies, new weapons, new medicinal herbs and other things of the like. While they do not care about the civil war, they are using it to a means to an end, so they can get a huge reward for their efforts. In fact, Men of Knowledge are know to work fo BOTH SIDES of this civil war, but still meet up for dinner without incident.
The Purple Heart: A group of bandits patrolling the border between Eutura and it's neighbors, robbing traders, merchants, farmers, even royalty if they can get the chance. They commonly wear black cloaks above a set of golden armor that provides more protection the more valued you are in the bandit rankings.
~[Major Figures]~
King Edward: The once loving king, now turned tyrant, he is the king of the Eutura. Being the king, this means his wealth and power have gone to his head, making him easily susceptible to bribes. He is cruel, brutal and harsh but quite the warrior, this being shown when he took on William one on one to a duel. Even though William survived, Edward emerged victorious.
William: The leader of Arigins shield, William is often compared to the previous personality of King Edward. He is rather kind and concerned, willing to even sell his own possesions in order to help the rebellion continue on. William is also quite the warrior, having already taken Edward in a duel and survived in one of the largest battles to take place in the civil war so far. He is currently married hand has two children.
George: George is one of the most famed generals in all of Eutura, having worked alongside King Edward for nearly his entire period of ruling. He is perhaps the most loyal soldier you could ever find, willing to follow King Edward to the grave need the situation arise. He is incredibly skilled in both combat and tactics, though is miniscule in compason to the greatness of King Edward.
Abraham: A doctor at heart, Abraham is considered to be controlled by the god of healing, due to his magnificent "powers" when it comes to healing his patients. There are not many that have been treated by Abraham that have not made it through alive, and he has quite the reputation across the continent. He went into hiding upon the start of the war, and is a known important figure in the organization known as The Men of Knowledge.
~|Admins|~
Admins exist to enforce the rules and ensure that no flame wars clog up the large portion of the roleplay. They are people that collaborated with me on the project, and are able to overrule actions that are considered to be against the rules. Only Birm is allowed to veto their decisions. A normal rper can, however, propose a vote to decide whether an admin's actions have been against the code of conduct. More admins may be added if enough decide that they are trust worthy.
~Vamking12~ Added a few locations and other minor details.
~Tailsdahfox~ Did the most out of all admins besides me, adding in the rules, chracater sheet, an important figure, a faction, and helping with several of the classes.
~oODwagonxX~ Fixed my many persistent gramaratical errors, and also added a few essential sentences to the plot.
~[Rules]~

OH MY GOD, ALL THAT READING!!!!! LONGEST RP I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! TOTALLY JOINING THIS, BUT MY GOD!!!! Name: Daniel Borisson
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Faction: The Purple Heart
Class: Assassin
Inventory: Two medieval-style daggers, only with shorter crossguards, a long bow, and fifteen arrows.
Appearance: BUILD: Daniel is very short, standing at 5'5, and weighs 115 pounds with a slim build.
CLOTHES: He wears tattered brown pants with noticeable wear on the knees, nearly to the point of holes. He wears a long-sleeved brown shirt, also noticeably worn, with a V shaped neck area. He wears black leather boots, greaves, and bracers. Over his shirt, he wears a black leather chest piece. ((Similar to the one in Oblivion))
FACE: He has long black hair that reaches down to around two inches past the end of his neck, and he always keeps it combed back, and in a ponytail. He keeps a wide goatee that doesn't droop down off his face anywhere, and a short, thin mustache just above his upper lip, reaching from around half an inch past the end of the left side of his upper lip, to the same length past his right one. He has a long chin, about two inches longer than normal, which is somewhat thin, and very rigid. Most of his facial features are very rigid, including his jaw, and cheekbone. His eyes are brown, and a bit on the thin side vertically, but not by much. His eyebrows are an average width, and have a bit of a downward curve at the inward end towards his eyes, while the other end has more of a straight, slightly diagonal line pointing up where the curve starts to end.
Personality: He's cockier than an adult movie star, very light-hearted, but in an evil kind of way. He's sadistic, and cruel, and would exercise this more if he didn't prefer to give his opponents quick deaths for stealth purposes, and overall he just doesn't about anything but himself. He will also use his skills to assassinate certain targets to get payed once in a blue moon, but generally sticks to banditry. Pretty much the only thing besides himself and money he cares about is women, a good portion of the money he earns goes towards buying women. ((I'm not gonna show that in the RP, it's just something you can imagine him doing offscreen for lack of a better term.))
Illnesses (if any): N/A
Bio: Daniel was born into the Purple Heart faction, and he was trained to be a thief and assassin since he was eight years old. He grew up a very talented assassin, unlike most bandits in the faction, who would just walk up and point a blade at people throats to get their money, he would either steal it out of caravans carts, or slit throats and raid bodies. In a raid against a Caravan that happened to have a hidden escort his parents were killed. This further enforced his style, and he swore never to go into combat in any way other than sneaking, and decided to live about a quarter of a mile away from the faction base where the Purple Hearts are, deciding he would be able to practice HIS style of thievery easier.
Other: SAMMICHES, AND GRAPES, WOMAN!!! GEMME SOME SAMMICHES AND GRAPES!!!

Name: Jans d'Alder
Age: 19
Gender: M
Faction: Arigins Shield
Class: Vanguard
Inventory:
-Infantry Halberd, Small Flanged Mace, Teardrop Kite Shield
-Worn Padded Gambeson, Breastplate (top obscured by Padded Collar), German Legs, Jack-Chains, Sallet Helmet with Faceguard.
(pics, gyazo links [https :// gyazo .com/] )
(German Legs): 810122408f2e439b6655df9a01683de3 (Sallet): fcca5fe06c5a0e439f0da72e7381334b (Gambeson-Jack-chains): 861156826b5a75f8305861a25898627b (Arrangement of Breastplate and Collar): ec443c76e04df885cfc3f116b2326e24
(Colors in that last pic not accurate to character)
Appearance: He stands about 5'9", a bit lanky, but nonetheless athletic. Dull blue eyes fail to stand out from a rough, pockmarked complexion, that betrays otherwise very smooth facial features. His draw is cut fairly straight ending in a pointed chin. Overall his face is very gaunt, the back of his jaw lining up nicely with the side of his head, making his head seem thinner than it truly is. Straw-colored hair is cut short on the sides and back, but let to grow on top, leaving the hair on top a shade or two darker. The hair on top points forwards, holding close to the scalp before cowlicking above the forehead. His chin and jaw feature very light scruff, hardly worth note.
Personality: Often Naive, but steadfast in his convictions. Not yet cursed with jaded world-weariness, and thus refuses to give in, mostly out of "honour", or some such nonsense.
Illnesses (if any): He had a terrible cough for much of his childhood, so his lungs are somewhat weak, leaving him short of breath often.
Bio: Born into serfdom, Jans grew up on a farm, like so many others. In spite of his cough, he worked just like the rest of his family, rising into adulthood with few scruples. When he was still a boy, he became aware of the turmoil surrounding his homeland, and in idealistic youth, frequently and verbally supported Arigins shield. Cresting into adulthood, he and some of the other boys from the area, were quick to align themselves with the Shield, and learned to fight in a barn on the home of one of the other boys. Before long he had discovered proficiency in defense, easily keeping the others at bay with polearms, and was placed to the Vanguard. |

Name: Pem Nezirro
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Faction: Independent, I don't think anyone wants him to join them.

Appearance: Pem is a man of average height and a frail build making him look older then he really is, his hair is curly and is put into a short light brown afro, he has large round dark green eyes that twitch constantly and don't seem to fit his face; he has elf like ears and his fingernails are long and gross as well his skin is of a pale complexion. He wears a long robe that a green color with black outlines over a patchy brown potatoe sack looking shirt and wears pants that look like long underwear under his robe; he wears a pair of tan pointy shoes that are custom made and lastly he has a bronze ring strapped onto his left pinky finger
Personality: Since Vammy is a admin and rarely follows whatever bullcrap he writes down for personailty, he has decided to skip this if you don't like this you can go suck it cause screw you.
Illnesses (if any): He walks with a slight limp and has bad eyesight in general, in the modern age he would need glasses.
Bio: Pem was born along the coast of the continent like many others, his father was the local alchemist making potions for the local lord and trying to develop new magical goods, as Pem was his eldest son he was picked as a apprentice as son as he was old enough to not accidently burn himself, ironically enough when his father died in a fire potion accident Pem was chosen as the new town alchemist it and continuted his father's legacy, as he got older he found a young wench named Wendy and fathered a bastard, as well when the war came to his town he left as soon as he could and escaped to the southern desert where no one could bother him. ahahahaha i like this roleplay better than it's previous posts already
"(Hey, so since this is like medieval-ish do you mind telling me what the general attitude towards women would be? If I join then that could be kind of instrumental to my character unless I make a man.)"
well, arigin's shield and eutura have the attitude against women that were given to them in the timeframes this roleplay takes place in.
the purple heart will gladly welcome a woman into their ranks, as long as she's able to either fight or cook. the lotus doesn't care either way, as long as the women in question have a devotion to their god. then the men of knowledge will accept women, but only on rare circumstances as few are given an education able to meet their standards. |

if you want t be magical, check out on the seas
as for not being magical in this roleplay, it's because lots of role-plays have already done medieval fantasy, at least when this was originally posted, and i didn't want it to become like the others. i was considering it to be low fantasy, though. |

Inventory: ( Again. I'm not really sure... I want her to use a whole arsenal of weapons, not just one. But I can use one if I can. )
Appearance:
Asteria has used her refined beauty to take down many of her targets, usually by charming them and killing them after they've done intimate activities. She has long curly blond hair and brown eyes. Asteria has soft and feminine facial features, with long eyelashes and and high cheekbones. She weighs about 113 pounds, the Assassin is slim and stands about 5 foot and seven inches tall. Asteria's attire usually consists of expensive or common looking clothing depending on her mood. When traveling she wears more suitable clothes for the harsh land, wearing a long sleeved shirt and long thick pants with black shoes and gloves. Her shirt color is white while her pants are colored black. Lastly she tops it off with a gray jacket with all her tools for assassination such as hidden blades or possibly poison.
Personality:
Asteria has a rather stuck up personality, believing that she is better than most people just because of her achievements. She might be thinking that she could take on group of trained guards by herself and leaving unscathed! Although she's not impulsive,if she wants to take someone out she carefully plans her moves. The girl is extremely flirtatious, though that is just training her social skills. She loves to socialize, talking is much more efficient than hurting herself. The girl isn't evil...she cares about the people who are close to her but is indifferent to killing random strangers.

She and her had to go through a traumatic experience of being bullied by them and having their supplies forcefully taken. Soon enough after the bandits became bored, they impulsively burned down the farm and killed all the males in the family. Her mother and her were taken soon after and were kept as 'prizes' for the males. She was forced to endure being their prize for about eight months before escaping with the help of her mother, whom she doesn't the know fate of even until today. (From ~|Plot|~ section, I'm guessing it's been around three generations since Edward became king. Some of the information here is based off that guess, and I might have to adjust it if the answer's different.)
Name: Myrddin Renfrew
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Faction: Due to the large Euturan presence in Port David, he'll say Eutura. Myrddin is trying to weasel his way into The Men of Knowledge, though.
Class: Doctor
Inventory: Always with him is a leather bag, oiled to make it as water proof as possible. Inside he keeps a medical kit with basic herbs, medicines, bandages and scalpels. Also any food he's picked up for the day. Myrddin does carry a short sword, but it's mostly for show, since he has no idea how to use it.
Appearance: Just your average bloke. Myrddin isn't the tallest, the shortest, or the fattest. He is built with a lot less muscle mass than most of the other men his age. Add that to his apparent inability to grow a beard, and he looks quite a few years younger than he really is. Myrddin's face is long and narrow, with a pointed nose that sticks out a little too far. The extensive amount of time indoors needed to be a proper doctor has lead to a complexion much lighter than most working men. Myrddin's hair is raven black, and cropped short to his head to keep it from getting into his eyes while he works. His eyes are rather large, and colored a dark green. Most of Myrddin's clothes are hand-me-downs from his older, and much more muscular, brother. Myrddin's long since realized he looks even skinnier when he's drowning in fabric. He owns a proper doctor's coat, the same one his grandfather used. Myrddin's very attached to that coat and wears it whenever he can. If he can't, he packs it into his bag.
Personality: Wistful would be a good word for it. Myrddin's spent his entire life surrounded by fish, and he often dreams of someday getting away from it all. Surprisingly, he can be very down to Earth at times, especially when he's saving someone's life. If he isn't in either of those moods, he's a typical carefree, disrespectful young man, and an occasional smartarse.
Illnesses (if any): He's bored to death of fish, if that counts.
Bio: Myrddin was born in Port David to a family of fishermen. Well, a family of fishermen and a grandfather who used to be a doctor in Ordigan itself until King David died. The doctor had then left the city ashamed, and made a place for himself in the rather new port as their first doctor. The city grew as the man aged, until his eyes couldn't read his recipe book, let alone a small medicine bottle. More doctors came and he was able to retire. His son, however had no interest in becoming a doctor, and carved out a life for himself as a fisherman. By the time Myrddin was born, his brother was nearly eight years old. The large gap between years kept the boys from ever becoming close. But while his father wanted his boys to become more fisherpeople, Myrddin listened to his grandfather's stories, and set his heart on becoming a doctor. His father was disappointed, but since he had one son to carry out the family business, he gave Myrddin his blessing. Everything was medicine and rainbows for about twenty years. Then, Myrddin's brother died in a fishing accident. His parents were distraught, and his father pressured him into rejoining the fishing business. Myrddin said no, and the two have been at odds ever since. Now, Myrddin's grandfather is dead, and Myrddin's a professional doctor, although quite a few people won't hire him because they think he's too young. A need to prove himself led him to hear about the Men of Knowledge. It seemed like an ideal way to learn more and to get away from both his father and the perpetual smell of fish that's everywhere in Port David. Myrddin's taken to asking his patients what they know about the Men of Knowledge, not really taking discretion into account.
Other: Even sammiches and grapes would be better than fish. |

Name: Tavish Phahlon
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Faction: The Men of Knowledge
Class: Doctor (MEDIC! MEDIC! MEEEEEEEDDDDDIIIIICCCCC!)
Inventory: An assortment of doctor's tools he carries around in a box made out of a fine mahogany, a few alchemical potions to stem the pain of his patients, a large eight inch long serrated blade that has many markings and carvings in the handle, though he never uses it, instead using his flanged mace for combat situations.
Appearance: The fair doctor has short black hair, with green eyes. He's got rough features and a rather square chin. Tavish is also rather tall, being 6,2. He wears a large white leather coat with a cross on it, resembling the ones crusaders would have wore on their chest. He wears white cloth trousers with tough black boots that comes up to his knees.
Tavish also wears a light leather tunic, studded with iron under his robe-like coat, to defend any light blows from simple blades or daggers. Along with this he wears a rusted norman-like iron helmet to stop blades or light blunt weapons from taking a chunk of his head.
Personality: Tavish could be compared to that of a mother hen, being firm but gentle with his patients, he often tries to reassure them that everything will be all right and they'll be home soon enough. Though, he does talk to them, even if they're unconscious mostly to please himself or stop himself getting bored.
Helping soldiers isn't all fine and dandy though, they scream, yell, cry out for their parents or family. He hates seeing them like this and often resorts to using strong ale to make sure they're well out of it before the operation begins
Illnesses (if any): None, he's a doctor and thus, keeps himself clean.
Bio: Tavish grew up in a rather poor family and went many days without food, he didn't mind, just so long as his beloved sister got to eat at least once a day he was happy. Until she took ill, she had a serious fever and needed medical attention. But the doctor demanded an outrageous price that his family simply could not afford and thus, had to watch their child die a painful death, screaming and crying, begging for her life.
But it was not to be, after a mere week, the screaming had stopped suddenly, the constant crying had stopped. Tavish took her death the worst, curling up in a ball, refusing to eat or drink anything, until he nearly died of dehydration.
While he stewed, it gave him time to think about what to do. That's when he decided it, he was going to become a doctor. It took almost eight yeas before he could qualify to even be working IN a hospital, but it was a start. After years of training and practice, he became one of the best doctors in Eutura, although he was nowhere near in the leagues of Abraham whom he respected greatly.
After working in the hospital for five years, he was approached by the Men of Knowledge to become a member of their group. They lured him in with promises of being able to help many people (and a fair sum of money too), which of course he accepted. Then the war broke out, with both William and Edward begging for help from the Men of Knowledge, they took the happy medium and worked for BOTH. Though this is high treason, they're very good at 'covering up' what they do, weather paying certain spies to 'forget' or snuffing out a few loyalists, they would do whatever it takes to make sure this remains a secret 'til the end of the war.

i would like to apologise in advance for this, i don't know how this monster of a CS came to be. it wasn't meant to be so long
Name: Annika Abernathy – though goes by Olivar Abernathy (Oli), her twin brother’s name
Age: 18
Gender: Female, though posing as male
Faction: Arigin’s shield
Class: Assassin
Inventory: A lock-picking set, two daggers and a small set of poisons
Appearance: If you were to look at her, you would never have thought that Oli could kill someone. But looks are deceiving. She’s diminutive, standing at about 5’4, and slim with it. Her build is lean and wiry, and she is deceptively strong for her size. Her body is littered with scars from fights. She has olive skin which darkens in summer and dark brown hair that is straight and kept close-cropped. Her eyes are pale grey and almond shaped, framed with dark eyelashes. She keeps her nails kept cut short and neat and wears no jewellery or cosmetics. Her clothing generally changes, but she always wears men’s clothes and shoes, as well as the assassin’s cloak. Beneath her shirt she wears a chest binder – an item of clothing that was incredibly difficult to come by, and she only owns three (which she always keeps hidden). Her hands are hard and callused from handling weapons. She owns a men’s razor, which is the reason why no men question her lack of facial hair.
Personality: Oli was a mischievous child, and she retains that to this day to a certain extent: usually with people outside Arigin’s Shield, however, as she has nothing to lose. She’s generally quite quiet and keeps to herself, getting the job done proficiently and not raising any questions. She’s smart enough to maintain her cover for so long, and she’s extremely motivated and determined to prove herself (hence being undercover). Stubborn as a mule and argumentative with it, don’t expect to win a debate with her easily. She tends to be good natured, and puts up with the teasing about her height – which is short for a man of her age – and her body hair, since her legs and arms are less hairy than the men she works with (though she often wonders why this is something they deem as undesirable). Oli is always willing to offer a dry remark or a cynical, sarcastic view on a matter. Oli’s personality is the opposite of what her male colleagues expect a woman to be like, which is part of the reason as to how she has remained undercover all this time.
Illnesses: None
Bio: Annika Abernathy was born in Port David to parents who were older than usual. Her father had been a knight, though was retired, and her mother was a fisherwoman. Her grandparents cut her father off when he married below his station, but by the time Olivar and Annika were born all four grandparents were long dead. Olivar and Annika couldn’t have been more different: Annika liked fighting and climbing and exploring the outdoors, whereas Olivar liked reading and herbs and learning. The only time they worked together was when they learned how to impersonate each other. When it became clear that Olivar would never take to learning how to fight, her father resorted to teaching her: a way, she supposed, that he could leave a legacy. So much to her mother’s dismay, Annika learned how to swordfight and how to fight physically when she was only six years old – though it was a long, boring process to begin with: all stance, and steps, and sword maintenance, and “Annika stop putting your thumb inside your fist”. Still, eventually she learned well enough that she was moved on from sticks and wooden swords to a blunt practice blade, and she was allowed to fight against Samuel, her brother’s best friend, when she was eleven. She won, and then her father began training them both together. They practiced together until they were fifteen, though Annika always won – much to Samuel’s irritation. As they grew up, she and Olivar grew apart: in fact, the only thing they had in common was their taste in men. But she was still devastated when the carriage she, Samuel and Olivar were riding in to Ordigan was hijacked by bandits and, upon their attempted escape, Samuel and Olivar were killed. Annika hid instead, waiting for them to finish looting the very little they had in the carriage before emerging. While she was good, there was no way she could take on a group of fifteen full-grown men, especially when all she had was a dagger. She sobbed when she saw Olivar and Samuel lying dead on the ground: but an idea struck her. Using her dagger, she cut off her hair (messily), and took some of her brothers clothing from one of the trunks that had been ransacked but yielded no valuables. She assumed the identity of Oli (a nickname Olivar had refused to go by) and made her way to Ordigan by foot. Moneyless and hungry, Oli arrived two days later in desperate need of a money source: one she found in underground fighting pits. The fighting pits truly challenged her, and she lost her first few fights (though was paid a measly sum for participation, which bought food and her first chest binder). After a few weeks of watching and learning and, eventually, letting herself be beaten, Oli was able to beat them seamlessly: by tiring them out by constantly ducking and weaving, by using their momentum against them, tripping them, whatever it took. Fighters never expected the tiny teenage boy (or so they thought) to be able to beat them, and when she did they were impressed. After a few months of succeeding in the pits, she was offered her first contractual killing. This, she discovered, was much easier than winning a brawl, and so began her new business. After a few payments from customers, she bribed some thieves to teach her how to pick locks. She worked independently for about a year, until she joined Arigin’s Shield a few days before her seventeenth birthday.

The man responded by saying 'The new king is a tyrant and he's wanted dead by argins shield.' As he finished that a few guards ran past him talking about the village he had just left, he followed the soldiers from afar and he saw them rush into the village and burn it to the ground, this angered him he ran as fast as he could pulling a small iron dagger from his shoe and he ran up behind a soldier ripped of his helmet and slit his throat, He smirked he liked the feeling of holding someone else's life in his hand, he then proceeded to kill the other guards and did but he had been injured. He passed out then woke up a man had found him on the floor and took him with and stitched him back up, the man told Radnor about how he joined argins shield and how he could join too, Radnor agreed after a few days had passed and Radnor could start to walk properly the man gave him some clothes and armour [His current ones] and took him to William, William said Radnor could join if he wanted to so he did and now he spends his time going around killing the kings soldiers and generals helping Arigin's progression in the war.
