I just got my schedule sent to my home about 2 hours ago and I found out I'm in 11th grade again for the second time... I failed it 2 years ago and I apparently failed it yet again because I don't have enough credits even though I passed Summer school... I need advices... Is dropping out an option because all my friends graduated and only 1 of my friend that's in my school still is still a sophomore... Other than that I don't have anymore friends at my school besides Jordan.. I don't know what to do, should I just drop out and get a GED if going to a decent university with a GED is possible? Because I wanted to be a mechanic all my life but I don't know if I can with a GED because my friend Mark got his GED and went to an okay university and got mechanical engineering degree but can't get a job for it apparently.. And I am worried I will fail 11th grade again.. The reason why I failed 2 times is because my school is the worst school you can go to because if you fail 2 major classes but pass all the other classes including minor and major classes you'll get held back depending on your credit. Is going to a different school going to let me pass to 12th grade or will it just be the same? Please help me...

My parents are extremely upset but they don't know how my school is like because they're not from the United States, they're stuck in their generations in Slovakia's education system which is totally different with the US.. And they said if I drop out I have to work in a crappy factory job for the rest of my life but I know some people that ended up like that even with a college degree for some reason..

Dude it's not a click bait this is serious. I have school on Tuesday and I don't know what to do. I dont want to do 11th grade again but I don't know my options because my parents are saying if I drop out I have to work in a crappy factory or cleaning job for a living or if I get a GED I can't get a good job because jobs apparently don't use GED I don't even know

How is this a click bait? This is a serious problem because my friend Jordan is apparently still a sophomore and I failed 11th grade yet again and I don't know what my choices are left.

And I do pay attention in class. My school is a preparatory high school, to be specific it's called Grand River Preparatory High School.. I can't go to East Kentwood High School because I made a lot of enemies... And I can't go to Godwin because that area is extremely poor and is worse than Grand River, the only choice I have left is City High but if I go there it might be a waste of my time if I am still an 11th grader if I go there I need help seriously

Dude do you realise how many people got held back also? A lot. You just don't know because you don't go to my school, matter of fact you don't even live in Michigan to know how bad Michigan is. It's the school, it's not me. And you can't call me a loser, I was an honor student in elementary and middle school until 10th grade when everything went downhill all of the sudden. I go to tutoring and the teachers barely ever help, I asked last year Mr Smedes about our Anatomy project and asked him about the cat dissection lab thing and he didn't help me at all all he did was give me useless informations that didn't make sense

Well you're lucky then. In the US we don't have any choice. In my area the minimum wage is 8 dollars and a lot of good jobs don't have full time even. And the schools here are terrible, we have a teacher that barely knows how to teach.

I rather live in Slovakia than in the US because of my situation. And no one even gave me an advice on what to do, I don't know if I should drop out and get a GED if its worth it or stay in school still to maybe just waste a whole nother year of humiliation and possibly fail again and see the same teachers.

I'm a sophomore, and my advice: Move to my school, I will kick your butt to get you moving because at my school, you either pass the main 5 subjects or gtfo. You only need 5 credits per quarter. D or above = 5 credits (passing). Not really advice, but if you must, move schools before second month of school. I lost 3 months of math learning in 3rd grade and ever since, I've been failing math to this day. Third week of school, B+.

I literally just said I went to tutoring last year... And at my school you need a C average or higher. Yes a C average, not a C minus.

Most 11th grade students are 16/17. If you are 18 I recommend switching schools lmfao
