| it helps quite a bit playing the games in chronological order, but then again, mgs v, ground zeroes, and peace walker pretty much start the story, so i guess you can start there |

| I haven't played much due to schoolwork, but from what I've seen, no. It would help if you're not used to the series' tenancy to get a little weird, especially with the Prologue. If you don't care about total lore consistency and you want to play the best MGS game to date, go right on ahead. |
