It's like Pay-To-Play for education. What the hell, American Educational System?
I am not the richest person but I am currently taking precalc for my sophomore year. my graphing calculator broke. i could go tell my mom, but what if she bought an extended warranty? i am using a replica my friend gave me; the original was stolen or lost (probably stolen. i used to leave my backpack hidden in an unlocked locker during gym).
Why make it so expensive? all you're doing is making yourself a hypocrite, saying that "everyone has the opportunity." I know that most poor-er people might not be smart enough to take the course, but i am. and right now im pissed how i have to buy a stupid brick that goes "beep boop" for my future math courses, and eventually, AP courses. |

| When you slap the word "education" on something, the price increases 300%. |

i just shake in fury in how they do nothing to help this. I think the Minimum Wage should stay the same (which is crazy for me, I work min. wage at a nightmare where I clean up after kids' crap), but I can't defend it when all of the attempts on being successful relies on paying $100, $150 on a stupid brick
I paid $50 for a Casio at Walmart (because I'm cheap) but even still. $25, $30 is ideal in my eyes |

"Ok so apparently calculators are an American only thing now."
what does that mean can't tell if this isnt an issue in your country, or the fact that you're offended that I only included America (well newsflash, there's 330,000,000 people in america, meaning there's more americans on here anyways) |

1) I am American, calculators are expensive everywhere.
2) Calculators are just like a phone, take care of it. |

i can borrow one from a teacher but i cant really borrow it the entire year. idk i can buy it easily, but it's just frustrating
right now the whole school has turned into like a police state over the summer and everything's really strict when it comes to electronics. i heard if you push the admin's buttons with your phone, they can ticket you. really stupid
