anyone could get "potential devex" money through a copy paste tycoon.
the effort you'd need to put in to a good hearthstone replica or imitation is more than most feel like putting in, especially when you can make money easier.
someone would need to knowledge and be passionate enough to make the game with money as a secondary goal. |

It requires a certain type of people for a card game.
It isn't for everyone. A lot more people like RTS, FPS and MOBA games. So if you are going for "devex money", then making a game like that is a better income source.

then anyone who is bothered to do all of that is faced off with the fact there is currently no market on roblox for that sort of game, and the front page will still be dominated by tycoons, obbys, roleplay, fps and rpgs and i guess survivals
so you'd need to find/create that market which if you have no money or you aren't famous will be difficult to do.
and then you'd need to get them coming back and/or spending robux on your game.

there comes a conflict between making a game that lasts and one that makes quick bucks.
A card game would maybe last at a very small scale so it's why I wouldn't attempt it. |

There's not enough developers like us who focus on making good games and put profit as a second objective to create a game like that, and there is even fewer of us that actually find card games fun enough for us to want to make our own game based on it.

That's the lasting with no money I was talking about.
It depends on the person but for someone like me, I would be more ambitious, that wouldn't be my goal and if I knew that would be the result of my efforts I would give up.

Dungeon Delver, even though isn't my type of game, is a game I think is sooooo underlooked. It's better than 9/10 of the games of its genre and better than most games that are front page staples.
ROBLOX loves mad murderer despite it being for me quite a poor game.
It's sort of like indie games getting overlooked for the next call of duty: unoriginal warfare game. |
