MAJOR GENERAL Patrick T. Flanders [maybe but its my ISRP and i decide the ranks such etc.]
COMMANDER OF THE 47th INFANTRY DIVISION
CURRENT AGE 32
Hero, Crack-down, Guerrilla master
TRAINED IN CHURA MILITARY ACADEMY
PERSONAL BELONGINGS GRANTED BY THE MINISTER OF THE ARMY Binoculars, Map, Compass, Model 44. and a Flak Vest [coolio]
You sit comfortable at the coffee table waiting for the call out to board the 47th Infantry division. You look down at your replacement papers you sigh thinking your abilities to lead this division but you are interrupted by a chair being slid back, loudly then then you look up. You see a a officer about to take a seat in front of you, upon further inspection of the officer. The officer is indeed a female and you glance at her collar to see her rank, her rank is a colonel. She doesn't acknowledge you until she sits down and notices that you are glaring at her. She is the first one to speak, "Sorry sir, you seemed to be thinking about something. I didn't want to disturb you, so I tried to pull the chair and sit in front of you. But apparently that didn't work. Anyways I'm Colonel Alison another replacement for one of the chief of staff in the 47 Infantry division." She salutes to you across the coffee table. |

Returning a quick salute, as this was a general to a colonel as there was no need to boast rank in such sitatuons, Flanders nodded and continued to gaze at his papers for a few moments longer.
"We are weak in man power, and the men do not trust our lack of combat experience, a poor mix wouldn't you agree?" He said, and though a question he did not wait for an answer and instead continued.
"I have been debating a minor shift in how the 47th wages war, more unconventional warfare. This would make up for our low numbers, and if I proceed properly, will significantly lower casualties which in turn will boost morale and leave us with full fighting force upon getting reinforcements. |

[whoops]
reinforcements." He leaned back in his chair following this and eyed the colonel.
"Is there any way to bolster our machine gun teams, snipers and mortars? More or less our supporting units, though they should play a much more hands on role then what support would typically entail. |

| "So are you trying to make the 47th to be a guerilla division?" Colonel Alison asks, with confused look on her face. |

| "Not quite, you see such guerrilla tactics are engineered for certain situations. This is more unconventional conventional warfare, many benefits of the two. You'll need to see for yourself, I suppose," He shrugged, "trust me on this, Colonel." It was as if he thought his word was golden. |

| The Colonel began to plunder on that question for a few moments, longer than anyone would presume. But then she speaks up. "Alright sir, I'm trusting you on this. Hopefully works and we inflict heavy casualties on the enemy." She nods towards you. |

"As I said, see if we can get a few more gunner teams, snipers and mortar squads transferred, and get a platoon trained as pathfinders. This will allow us to either send them all together in times of danger, as to not lose men, and let us send out multiple squads ahead of larger forces if we split up the division."
He leaned back in his chair, quite pleased with the plan though currently only he knew it exactly, and took out a large cuban and lit it. Now he would enjoy the flavor, while the colonel got this arranged, or got someone else to do it. Chain of command was nice at times. |

| The Colonel nods and takes out a small notebook as well as a pen and starts writing. Time flies by before you were interrupted by the Colonel. "Sir, would you like some tea or coffee to go with your cigar?" |

"I am fine, thank you." He said, motioning to a bottle of jack near the top corner of the desk. He was not thirsty anyway, though if he was, the jack would be his first choice.
Could he get some info on his COs and top NCOs [either those who lead well, or the old war horses so to speak] |

[sure no probs]
The Colonel nods as she opens her briefcase and takes out a leather red book labelled "KORHAL". "Here sir, I'm not sure if you were given one after the Academy. It tells you everything from the training of the men to the newly introduced armour and mechanized divisions." She says as she slides the book down towards you. |

| Setting the book on the table, he nodded at her in appreciation as he flicked the ash of his cuban, "How our the officers doing? Specifically those who aren't new to the division like we are, they'll be very important for morale and the training of the men." |

[I'm gone tomorrow and the entirety of the weekend, I'll resume on Monday.]
Your recent question really plunders the Colonel, she sighs and looks down. A brief moment later she replies to your question, "Honestly, when I got my letter from the division. The officers and the men are going to hate the replacements from what I read in the letter. They say that "They didn't experience what we experience so why bother?", this would really stump our morale and drive a deep wedge in between the ranks as well as the bonds that make soldiers a family. I dunno how to fix this problem, do you know by any chance?" |

Scratching his chin, it took the General a moment to reply, "Well I suppose we need that bond rebuilt, we should start mixing up the veteran and the rookie officers and promote a couple of the corporals who have been around awhile to sergeant."
This would work, atleast until they got into combat and truly became brothers in arms. |

[I'll make ranks of the RP later in the day, this will apply to ALL VTS rps so far. And eyy im back!]
"Wisely said sir, may I suggest to get the more experienced NCOs to be promoted and replace the newly coming COs that are going to lead the platoons, regiments, and brigades? It would probably lead to a increased morale boost from the men that was with the division when it was formed. But knowing some of the replacing NCOs, me as well, are nobles and thus they'll complain that there being demoted and being sick with the 'commoners'. I, personally is not affected by this. Since I hate being a noble because of the strict 'noble' code that each family is 'forced' to follow. Well, not exactly follow but if they don't follow the rules of the social noble code the family will be shunned by the other nobles." She stops and realization hits her, "Oh! I'm sorry sir for getting off track, but do you think the idea is a good and solid one? Yes, the noble NCOs will be 'butt-hurt' and such. But once they had enough Combat experience we'll promote them back to there designated rank and the place holder NCOs will move high in the military hierarchy. I personally think that this is a solid idea, but I'm not sure about you would do or say." She shrugs, "We'll have plenty of time to discuss this, here and on the train. So please, just put out your thoughts on the idea." |

| "Smart to an extent, if we replace all our new COs with those experienced in combat we also lose some who have been to top military schools and they could stir up others and split the ranks." He stubbed out his cuban and finished his thoughts on the matter, "I suggest we bring up the top NCOs, bring down some of the green COs but leave those with good records and recommendations along with the most influential of them. Wouldn't want one of the little cry-babies to get daddy to complain to the boys upstairs, eh?" |

| The Colonel chuckles, "Noted, want me to radio the 47th and get the list of NCOs so I can start organizing them for you? Unless, if you want a say in this where you want each NCO to go where and such.". |
