Keep in mind that everyone has to follow the rules (including admins, if not moreso as admins are supposed to be role models for other players.)
1. Admins are required to run a vote for an era. The admins in the server can choose how fast time goes.
2. Absolutely under no circumstance shall anyone grief or delete. Think before rage-deleting or rage-griefing, as you will be permanently banned on ALL servers and it will be difficult to prove that you are worthy of being unbanned.
3. Any racist acts (this includes painting racist symbols, writing racist things with paint, etc) you are caught doing will mean you are instantly banned. EXCEPTION: If the racist thing is meant to be historical and not offensive, and no admins deem it offensive, it is allowed.
4. Message ArmadaStudios with any reports of admin abuse or griefers, deleters, or spammers. Please include witnesses, video evidence, or screenshots.
5. Anybody caught making inappropriate countries or inappropriate city names will be banned without second thought. NOTE: To see who last renamed a text brick, city, or fort, select the Rename City/Fort tool and mouse over the text brick/city/fort. Press Q, and a little message at the top of your screen shows who last modified it.
6. If the admin chooses a era you must find a historically accurate border of the nation you are playing as (A historical/specific map is recommended, but if it cannot be found, use Geacron.). If you are a custom nation you must start out small, and provide a backstory. For example, if Kiev was a custom nation, you could say it formed via a tribal confederation.
7. If a player leaves, they cannot give their whole country to anyone unless an event such as an inheritance or a personal union occurs and is roleplayed out over time. If random country gifting occurs, admins will be obligated to put that country back to its original state. If an admin thinks that it's obvious you're only giving away your country to your friends, they will block the PU.
8. If you attack a neighbor without a casus belli (reason for war) or roleplay a propaganda campaign to justify the war, your people and generals may revolt against the war (which will be controlled by admins). EXCEPTION: Before the Papal States (or an equivalent organization such as Shinto in Japan) is founded, no casus bellis are needed.
9. You can fabricate claims on neighboring land. The player owning the land may take steps to stop the fabrication if it is found out by that player's spies, but it has to be roleplayed.
10. You must roleplay every detail of a battle and roleplay every advance into enemy territory.
11. Use the terrain shown to you on the map as well as your geography common sense. No making huge metropolises in the desert or in Siberia. No walls in desert (it's obvious why this wouldn't work). Etc. If you violate these rules, an admin may either warn you or ban you after explaining what you did wrong, depending on the magnitude.
12. You CANNOT randomly recruit soldiers during war! It doesn't matter if you " *Makes massive propaganda campaign and recruits more soldiers* ", it's stupid and it causes arguments and I'm tired of it.
13. All admins must listen to both sides and NOT JUST THEIR FRIEND'S SIDE.
14. Ships cannot sail far distances without stopping at ports depending on the era. For ancient times you need a port every 50 miles, for medieval times, you need a port every 200 miles, for colonial you need a port every 1,000 miles, for modern times technology is very good so you do not need to stop by any ports when sailing large distances. If a fleet has lots of troops then it will need to stop by a lot of ports (for example if a modern fleet has 50,000 troops you will need to stop by many ports very often).
15. Surprise attacks are allowed, but you need to TELL THE PLAYER about the attack. The target player must roleplay as if his/her troops do not know about the attack, unless counterespionage is roleplayed out.
16. In modern times nuclear or biological agents are automatically allowed. However, you cannot randomly launch nukes! Only nations such as Israel and Iran can use nukes wantonly, and ONLY if the existence of their countries is in danger! Obviously the people monitoring the nukes and the army, especially of civilized countries like the United States and Russia, would be extremely resistant to the thought that human civilization was ending because of a nuclear war. Your people need to be 100% brainwashed before you can randomly use nukes (like North Korea). Nations who currently have a nuclear arsenal in real life automatically have them. If you are a custom nation or a country that doesn't have nukes you must manufacture nuclear weapons. It will take very long to research nuclear technology. For one, you must acquire uranium (Only a select few countries have it). Second, you must purchase centrifuges (or manufacture them, which is very expensive). Third, you must research with the few samples of enriched uranium you have. It's a long, arduous process and the only reason that the US and the USSR researched it so fast is because of mass paranoia.
17. If Army 1 from Country A is 10 studs from Army 1 from Country B, but Army 2 from Country B is 20 studs away from Army 1, Army 2 will not arrive in time to save Army 1. Use logic and don't move troops instantly across distances.
18. You need a legitimate reason to rebel from a country.
19. If a nation commits a war crime after the signing of the Geneva Convention or any similar roleplayed event every country IN THE ENTIRE WORLD has a reason to attack said nation. Examples: • genocide; • torture or inhuman treatment, including biological experiments; • willfully causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health; • extensive destruction or appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly; • compelling a prisoner of war or other protected person to serve in the forces of a hostile Power; • willfully depriving a prisoner of war or other protected person of the rights of a fair and regular trial; • unlawful deportation or transfer; • unlawful confinement; • taking of hostages; • Killing or murdering foreign leaders/ambassadors However, countries that violate these rules would probably be more effective in espionage and warfare. 20. Rebels are usually not as well armed as the nation they rebel against (unless it is a military or royal revolt).
21. If a vote is conducted for an era, and a MAJORITY (50% or more) of players want that era, the era is WORLDWIDE (unless the admin says otherwise or if it's a specific era, like "Japanese feudal"). If the era is voted for under a PLURALITY (more votes than any other group, i.e "vote others 10 World War 1 (yes) World War 2 (no)" turns up 40% yes, 25% didn't vote, 35% no, World War 1 would be won through a PLURALITY ie more than any other vote but NOT a majority) the era only works on one region (i.e Europe, China and Japan, India, Indonesian Islands) if the server is small (less than 20 players) you can have the era work on two regions that border each other.
22. If you invade an unplayed nation or you are trying to colonize you must make a standing army for that unplayed country otherwise your invasion or colonization will be invalid.
23. If you read these rules, you'd know to title any admin application sent to ArmadaStudios as "I read the R&R." This goes to show that, unlike 90% of the people on the game, you actually read the rules and deserve a shot at getting admin. |
