I've made an infinite obby. It currently only has 3 different stages. I plan on making more and I set up a way for others to make a course as well! If you want to find the game you can try it out here:

If you want to make a course, Please take this model! There are instructions inside about how it needs to be set up!:

| You should be procedurally generating it instead of having premade stages. |

Aerogod, you do understand I never said anything about it being possible or not. I simply said asked if that person wants to make the script for it.
As it would be easier to simply make stages/courses rather then making a huge script that may not even function that well. |

| It would be easier to script and infinite obby rather than building to infinity. |

I made a random triangular terrain generator in a day:

Do you guys even know how my game works?
It goes forever and never ends. I've already done this, but rather then trying to make a script that creates parts, resizes, colors, moves and a few other things, it's easier just to build manually.
If you truly believe that it's better to script it, then go and try. If you can't script or don't know how then how would you know what is easier?
Anyways, enough of this useless topic. Thanks for the free bumps but this is mainly to see if there is anyone that would want to actually make some courses for it. |

| You want to continuously create stages yourself, as opposed to letting a script do it for you? |

| No, if you go to the game you will see that it is already set up. It's already 100% done besides the stages that gets chosen at random. |

| I understand the concept but it's going to get pretty boring if I see the same stage every now and then. |

You do understand the game can literally have thousands of stages without any lag what so ever.
I currently just have it set up so the game runs and works fine. All that is left is the thousands of stages. (And maybe multiplayer support) |

| What? You said you only had 3 stages earlier, now you have "thousands"...? |

| Seriously lomo, just make it randomly generate. It'll be a lot less boring and it won't take as much time as making thousands of maps. |

| No, it's infinite, but it's just got a limited amount of stages. |

deaf, go make a script that auto generates stages.
cry, I never said it had thousands.
florian, it's a never ending obby. If you don't know what the word "Infinite" means please go look it up. |

| If you don't have a script that procedurally generates stages, you cannot deem it an 'infinite' obstacle course; because regardless if you create a thousand stages by hand that feel as if it's going on forever, it still ends... that's a bit fraudulent. |

Hvxbyte, go play my obby, tell me what your max stage is. Then tell me if you could still continue.
Considering that the max stage can never be hit, it is thus infinite.
Just because everything isn't random and different from each stage doesn't mean it's finite. It just means it has X amount of stages that will never stop being shown rather then random ones that vary very little. |

It's actually not that hard to generate obby stages. Simply a matter of types of stages that have certain settings that determine how it is that are chosen at random.
For example:
local Stages = { RandomPaths = { Length = 50, Width = 20, PathsPerRow = 3, Rows = 5, Kills = true, FallThroughFalsePaths = true, -- Kills and this cannot both be false, one or the both will be true }, LavaJumps = { Length = 70, Width = 5, Squares = false, -- If it is the square patterns Size = 0.9, -- 1 = max distance player can jump, this effects lava height and width. Breakjoints = false, -- insta death DestroyLimb = true, -- Destroys limbs on contact, HealthLoss = 5, -- How much health is lost each hit, one or more of the death settings will always be true } }

| If someone had the dedication and willpower to complete your obstacle course, I wouldn't be surprised... just to prove you wrong. All I'm saying is, it'd be a whole lot more efficient if you had just generated it via script; consequently this could add variety to the obstacle course. Substituting one stage for another. |
