[Going to refer to you, if you want me to refer to your character please say. But NPCs will address your character by your regular name.]
You sit comfortable at the coffee table waiting for the call out to board the 47th Mechanized division. You look down at your replacement papers you sigh thinking your abilities to lead this division but you are interrupted by a chair being slid back, loudly then then you look up. You see a a officer about to take a seat in front of you, upon further inspection of the officer. The officer is indeed a female and you glance at her collar to see her rank, her rank is a colonel. She doesn't acknowledge you until she sits down and notices that you are glaring at her. She is the first one to speak, "Sorry sir, you seemed to be thinking about something. I didn't want to disturb you, so I tried to pull the chair and sit in front of you. But apparently that didn't work. Anyways I'm Colonel Alison another replacement for one of the chief of staff in the 47 Mechanized division." She salutes to you across the coffee table. |

| She drops the salute and sites down. "Indeed it has, from the rumours that's been going around, the divisions HQ was hit by an artillery shell. That's how the previous divisions CO and about of staff were killed. I personally don't believe it, do you sir?" She asks while she grabs the tea-pot and an extra cup on the table and begins to pour the tea in the cup. |

| "Indeed, I presume that you will improve the location of the divisions HQ when we get there?" She takes a sip from her cup then asks another question, "Sir, would you like some coffee or some tea? I'm guess were gonna have to watch a little bit for our train to arrive." |

She nods and pours you a cup of tea, then she carefully slides it down to you. It only takes a few moments before you are disturbed by Colonel Alison. "So how were you disturbed by this war? Like, were any of your family conscripted or fell in combat in the war so far?"
[This is when you can make your own family tree, etc you can set your previous job before you enlisted, etc. as well as make your family history] |

(I'm gonna need a bit of world info to work off of here.)
"Fortunately not. My Brother Matthias was already Enlisted. Last time he wrote he had just finished OCS, and received his Commission. I had completed College just a year before this mes started. Earned my Doctorate in Anthropology. I was actually planned for travel to the Colonies to learn about the Natives. The trip was postponed due to the war of course, and I decided to enter the Military as an Officer." |

[Gotcha, hold on]
"Ah I see, I just finished my training. I just literally got here." She gave a hearty chuckle. Then she pulled a small book out of her brief case then slides it over the table. "I'm not sure, but they give recently graduated officers a book of our countries history. I'm not sure if you have one in your brief case or you just declined it. But it should be useful for passing time on the train." |

I take the book.
"Well, that's handy I suppose. They didn't mention it when I left."
I open the cover to the first page. |

The Colonel chuckles as she pulls out a book out of her brief case and she starts to read it.
The first page reads
"The Country of Korhal, home to the finest military, medicine, and culture." As well with the countries national animal. An eagle on a iron bar, its usually dubbed that "Iron Eagle".

You skim back into the book finding the page 420, then you are greeted by giant bold letters again, labeled. "KORHAL'S INFANTRY DIVISIONS" With a infantry helmet (which is the WWII US army M1 Helmet). You turn the page and you start reading.
Korhal's infantrymen are one of the worlds finest, they trained to fight to the last man if ordered to. These men are extremely loyal to their COs, effectively sacrificing themselves so that their CO is able to live. Korhal's infantry divisions usually have a maximum fighting force of 12000 men, split into 4 brigades each with 3000 men. Some generals change the deployment of their men out of the entire division. One of the most notable, Major General Erich Nar Leichstot (1850-1911) where he deployed his men in 6 brigades with 2000 men. This allowed Leichstot to be an mobile force and less affected to morale shocks, if a brigade is to suffer one. Korhal's infantrymen are expected to be at the peak of the physical fitness, more will be elaborated on when you reach TRAINING (P 480). Mechanized warfare and order of battle was introduced in the late 1920s, making it new with tactics as well as tank warfare. Many Generals think that Mechanized warfare is to make decisive breakthroughs and get into enemy lines of communication, just like the cavalry has done in the past. But some military thinkers pointed out that the armour is supposed to be with the mechanized and help with the break through and disrupt enemy lines of communication. But they're suggestions are thrown out the window by the Joint Military high command.
That is what you summarize out the the introduction of Korhal's infantry/mechanized chapter. |

Sounds like Joint Command won't have me backing Armor any time soon.
Flip ahead to the equipment section. |

You flip to page 460 to the equipment, from reading the twenty pages in the chapter you gathered the most relevant equipment to date.
Korhal's infantrymen are equipped with the best weaponry in the world to date, with some rifles currently seeing exportation to other countries that are allied to Korhal. Most notable, the United Provinces of Caro with its national animal a wild boar. The revolutionary "Automatic" weapons are still being tested and being developed. Military scientists say that the ACG MK1 (Automatic Compact Gun) will be ready for service in 5 years.
The standard Korhal infantrymen is equipped with
One BA MK4 (The Karabiner 98K)
Two APG (The Mark 2 Grenade)
One "Karp" (The Ka-bar)
Two water canteens
Ten clips of CBA MK4 ammunition
One "Rack" bag (The Rucksack) Paired with a sleeping bag
Hygiene/Eating utensils |
