The problem is, no one wants to train new recruits and looks down on them. People forget that we used to be those people

yup
furthermore any leader who tries building up groups in a manner that does not have to do with marketing on the forums and/or through warmongering is immediately attacked by a coalition of people which benefit from this mentality |

Group: We'll train you how to fight. :)
Other group: We're declaring war
war goes 10-0
Other group: you should just quit, you're bad
*new recruits quit in sadness since they are insulted*

rat is a great example of a clan that is expanding itself the right way and getting a ton of sht for doing that
rat to be honest should try to develop better filtration systems to improve its organization of high and low quality members |

Meh. RAT likes training new recruits without putting them through a filter. We want them to be loyal.
TAG does this also, but differently. |

BEAR currently wants to create a community not based on skill like we once were but rather improving new users skills and hopefully train them how to use that to their advantage in their war clan careers. We're just waiting on our stuff to finish on scripting.

Something I'd say UAF really wins at is having a pretty fun and laid back community, not to say that other clans don't, but I'd say that's one of our good qualities. I'd definitely like to see more recruits trained though.

| because kicking visitors to the clan community who are interested in joining is exactly the way we should go on about improving our condition, right mean? |

I mean honestly if we could go back to training people like we used to in clans, possibly we wouldn't have all the ego wars and would be more laid back about things and only have the wars to enjoy some laid back fun raiding.

being a former veteran and like a 2 year member in UAF now, I like the group, but I think its mentality is leaning way too much towards those of the forums
I personally think TRA, RAT and even RSF have are contributing a ton through their mindsets but they need someone who is better at handling internal structures |

| I do believe we should build an internalized team of moderators. Veterans of the Clan Community, with ties or without. |

I think UAF is becoming a lot more mainstream, but I think we're also making a lot of progress in building on our strengths.
