I bet tons and tons of newer players use the arrow keys. I myself used to for my first few years.
Maybe just disable the arrow keys and tell players to use WASD?

| No. Using the arrow keys is setting a bad example for all games. 1. it makes your game look like it was made for 5 year olds. Secondly every single game in the world uses WASD now. |

I did it, if you really want to do it. Just fiddled with the default ControlScript a bit. http://www.roblox.com/Arrow-Keys-to-WASD-item?id=287621387

I use arrow keys, I still do until to this day.
Why?
I'm not using a mouse, my cursor won't function unless if I press the arrow keys, so I use those for cam rotation.
It's probably better if you don't change the arrow key's functionality, for it is helpful enough to rotate your cam. |

DUDE I KNOW YOUR ISSUE
If you have a mousepad, it may disable itself when you're 'typing' to avoid touching it with your palms. I had this issue with a Synaptics touchpad - just look for your mousepads settings somewhere (you can probably just search the start menu) and turn off that function.

No, it wouldn't be in your standard control panel settings - whatever company made the software for your touchpad probably implemented a custom control panel for their touchpad. There's probably a logo somewhere on your laptop, check google for the company.
