Now what concerns me is not whether or not it will actually block the software, what concerns me is, the only way to do that is to,
A.Run scans on the file system B.Scan running proccesses
Now that is just plain and simple a violation of privacy, there is no excuse for this idiocy
I don't know who the hell MS probably thinks they are but, pirates or not, this is a bad decision.
PS, I am not really a pirate anymore, but this is still really stupid.

@epic
It's only illegal if the laws in your area say it is. Also he said it was the way it was done that concerns him. |

| i shouldn't be affected by this, as far as i'm concerned the UK recently legalized piracy or they won't take action against you for pirating |

@Anti
That's not why I'm pissed off, I live in egypt for gods sake nobody gives 2 shts about copyright laws(there's a doritos rip off called, "google" or "windows")
Why I'm pissed off is,
WTF does MS think they are? Now I personally would have nothing to hide
but this is just so open to abuse
How can this "system" truly tell the difference between a VB project or a modified blender build from a pirated program?
Sooner or later, someone is going to get falsely accused.

Corporations shouldn't be trying to be the police, thats the problem with it.
Also why I won't be updating, I quite like my privacy. |

"Initially noticed by site Alphr, the Microsoft Services EULA gives Microsoft permission to scan your Windows 10 machine for pirated software and remove it from your system. There have not yet been any reports of this actually happening in practice, but Microsoft now has the power should it choose to exercise it.
The EULA also gives Microsoft permission to kill drivers to unauthorized gaming hardware, like third-party controllers with turbo switches and similar additional benefits."
Regardless of what you have on your personal computer purchased by you (or a trusted adult) Microsoft does not have the right to play Police, however, you were warned in EULA that this would be in effect (though you probably didn't read it) and that is simply your fault, what I think they're doing is wrong, but it's ultimately your fault for getting windows 10.

You know what? screw windows 10 it's not worth it
All the driver issues,
All the visual bugs,
All the privacy issues,
All the compatibility issues,
I am just surprised that I didn't do this sooner.

Oh and,
as I mentioned, IT SCANS YOUR HARD DRIVE FOR SOFTWARE
here's a quote from a good guy from blender artists about this
"I agree with your concerns and in particular I have concerns about the future misuse of such. What's to stop a future Microsoft from using this to remove competing software from your computer? If caught all they have to do is say it was a glitch in their automated detection algorithm. Blocking a competitors software for even a week would be massively damaging to that competitors business.
By the way this is precisely the reason I do not agree to Google Play's terms of service. Google Play includes the same language and gives Google the right to remotely remove any software from your Android device without notification. The idea, of course, is that it's for security purposes so Google can remotely remove malware from Android devices, but this can easily be used for strategic purposes.
P.S. I remember a few years ago Google Maps would not work on Windows Phone browsers. Microsoft cried foul and said Google was doing it on purpose, Google, of course, said it was just a glitch, but didn't fix that 'glitch' for quite some time."

| While W10 is a piece of trash Spyware unless you block every Microsoft IP in existence, It Doesn't "block Piracy". It's about its Own Apps... If It did "Block Piracy" I would instantly downgrade. |

@tnt
what are you on about
first of all blocking windows' IPs would do nothing, and i still don't understand what you mean by simply 'blocking' them
and he said it was intrusive to his privacy, not that it blocked privacy. what the hell do you mean by 'block privacy' |
