If I wanted to make a table that contained all the properties of most Roblox object types, what would be the best way to go about doing it?
Example:
_t = {["Part"]={["Name"]="String",["Parent"]="UserData",["Position"]="Vector3"}}
I'd imagine there would be an easier way to index certain properties, like having "Name" apply to ALL valid objects without the need to index it individually.
Anyone have any ideas? |

| Just make an API dump parser, it's what I did and I use it when I need a table of all the properties (in your case, extend it so each property contains the type if returns/takse) |

I feel like that involves hosting a web server and using HTTPService.
Neither of which are my forte, therefore I don't want to do it that way. Any way to do it with an actual table? I don't care if I have to physically index it myself. |

| You don't need to do any of those, just copy and paste it as a long string into your script |

How do I do that?
I mean getting the data, not copying/pasting >.> |

Um...That's a Bastille-wall of text right there. I don't always use string patterns, but when I do, it's not that intensive.
Things just got 10x more complicated. I'd probably finish manually indexing every finite detail of every single object sooner than I'd get the patterning and parsing right for that API :( |

I made a pretty bad one but it still works, you can take it if you want (in my models).
Although you have to edit it so it includes the type it returns/takes |

| Oh ok. Thanks. I'll see if I can play with it until I get those properties. |
