A very good family friend passed away recently, and I still can't believe that he passed away
We went to a lot of events such as BBQ's, Fourth of July fireworks, waterparks, etc. with him and his family.
His 8 year old son was close friends with my brother
It'll never be the same without him.
I'm still in shock how sudden his death was, no one saw this coming
The last time I saw him was three weeks ago a BBQ, the week right before I went to summer camp. Last week, he was supposed to come to an event with our family with his family, but he collapsed from a stroke.
He didn't make it. He died over the weekend. His wake and funeral are in a few days, I plan to at least go to his funeral
I'm honestly so overwhelmed emotionally I don't know what to do |

He was one of the greatest guys I know.
He worked hard and still managed to be with his family whenever he could. I can only remember once or twice when I didn't see his family not with him at an event
He was a true gentleman, he was a guy everyone wants to be.
The world lost another good person, and we don't have too many of those anymore... |

I get what you're going through m8.
Last December my grandma (who I was very close to) died after she fell and split her head open (I wish I was lying, but that is what ultimately killed her; still makes me nauseous even to this day to think about it). Even today I still sometimes wake up looking for her, yet she isn't there. I try not to think about her a lot, because it always brings back the final memories I have of her; one in hospice where she had stitches and staples across her head, and the other being at the funeral home.
Just some advice to you based on personal experience: when the funeral comes, don't look into the viewing area until the viewing officially starts, unless you want a major shock.
Respect the science! |
