When I use the RBG format for vector3 colours (137,156,75) the part I am using goes white. It works find with only two but not all three of RGB
I am using a mesh Vertex colour by the way.

You have to divide the numbers by 255 (137/255,156/255,75/255)

137 / 255 = 0.537254902
I cannot put decimals in the vertexcolour. Am I supposed to round it up or something?

in a script, change the color to: Vector3.new(137/255,156/255,75/255)

Are you trolling or just stupid because that didn't work at all. I rounded 0.537254902 to 0.537 and the part was still grey. I did it to all the numbers and put them in the vertex colouring frame and the part was still grey. Thanks for nothing.

You are extremely rude. I now understand why nobody on your other thread helped you. I attempted to help you and you act as if what I posted meant nothing. Figure it out on your own.

I already found a plugin so... also injecting scripts into 30,000 parts isn't going to make my game any faster.

uglypoe is correct, VertexColor (Vector3) uses the same numerical system as Color3 in that 0 - 1 represents 0 - 255 for RGB. For example, whereas in RGB (127.5, 89.25, 70.125) would be Brown, in Lua it would be white because of the different system so you have to divide each number by 255 to get the correct scale, meaning Vector3.new(127.5/255, 89.25/255, 70.125/255) would be the correct VertexColor for Brown.

Right? Wrong. I don't want to use any scripts and I never asked for scripts.

What? Just use a script. Why are you trying to manually change the colors? Decimals become a problem when you try to do that.

Oh my god you are beyond stupidity. Vector3 is in scripting. I said that I wanted to use it without putting scripts inside every part. When I said "I don't want to use any scripts and I never asked for scripts." I was referring to using raw scripts inside parts.

You can just use one script and add a recursive loop changing all the parts that you want changed.

You didn't have to put a script in each and every part. If you didn't decide to call me stupid and tell me that my help was worthless, I might've told you how.

I said that I didn't want to put scripts inside parts, I never said I wanted to have nothing to do with scripts, like I said before "I don't want to use any scripts and I never asked for scripts." I wasn't very clear and what I meant was that I didn't want to put scripts inside every part because that would most likely lag my game and be frustrating also the fact that i have 20,000 - 30,000 parts in my game.

"Uglypoe"
Your help wasn't that great so I don't need you to say the exact same thing over and over because all you aren't serving a purpose in this thread and you definitively aren't helping me and even if you wanted to, you still couldn't because you don't have the knowledge to do so.

"All you need is 1 script that goes through all the parts."
All of my parts are named part. How is a script supposed to know which part to refer to when colouring because my game has many colours.

Put all the parts into the model then just put the script in the model and make a table out of all the parts and go through one by one. They don't need specific names because you already have them as a referenced object in the table.

I have been scripting for far longer than you have, and the game I'm making and will release tomorrow is proof of that. Even if I did not help you at all, I spent my time TRYING to help you. You don't appreciate anybody or anything.
