so apparently chemotherapy is supposed to kill the disease (in this case cancer) but then how come people die a few months afterwards?

That's one of the reasons why cancer is so horrible. Its treatments are often as dangerous as the disease itself.
Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are both very dangerous, but from my knowledge the former is generally a far more painful experience. |

| You... are not fully informed on chemotherapy. Chemotherapy does NOT kill the cancer cells, but instead slows them down. It gives the patient more time to live. it doesnt cure them of their cancer |
