| i really dont understand because most "grunge" bands i hear are either noise rock or indie rock with sludge metal influence |

| grunge is about as much of a genre as anything else. ive been arguing that indie rock is the exact same thing as alt rock and and or post alt rock for years. but I guess genres can be renamed therefore making duplicates |
