Hello!
I am here to inform you as to what I have decided regarding the controversial Arizona State University 19-16 victory over the UCLA Bruins:
EmilyRollinsII, played the game and caught a touchdown, while taking a safety, but still gave the game it's winning margin. The initial story was that her main account got 'terminated'. After a quick check, I found that nobody under the main account's name was EVER accepted to Arizona State. Then the story turned to 'she got hacked', and finally to 'her main was never in OCFA/ASU'. Coincidentally, she was never in any football related groups either. The situation was still borderline until Emily admitted to her status as being the suspended player "ScarleyXVI".
There's no direct proof to link that the Arizona State Coaches had any knowledge to this situation, but it's the playoffs. It's do or die, and you simply have to have more control to avoid mistakes like this. With a heavy heart, as it personally hurts me to do this to a dear friend like Dez, after consultation with advisors, Arizona State will forfeit the win, and UCLA will advance to playoffs.
ASU has the right to exercise it's appeal for the next day, and I expect an appeal in my inbox if it happens.
Best,
Mailard |
