I find this works a lot:
Extra step: Make it filtering enabled, exploiting will be decrease TONS. I recommend doing this at the start so you don't have to change everything at the end
1. Have an idea, not a half idea, but an entire game idea (think of all the little details)
2. make it challenging, It should get harder and harder and more challenging (or else the game might be popular but not on the front page a lot). A channelling game draws the user in.
3. Spice it up! Make it more colorful, exciting, anything that should make the game less boring. Do some tweaks and stuff.

| Use eye catching colors. That way, the player will want to keep on coming back. |

You use your brain. I simply sit at my desk and think out everything that I am going to have to do before building the game and then once I plan it all out, I sit down, strap my buckle in my seat and start on the game for the long ride.

Oh also, give the player something to achieve. Dont just make it repetitive. Make items and achievements so it keeps them in longer working to get those achievements.
Also, give them a good sense of reward. Players like when games give them a sense of reward when they accomplish something.
But if you want to plan it:
1. Make a checklist of things to do 2. Work 30-60 minutes each day 3. Think of original ideas 4. Always ask for suggestions |
