The Virginia Cavalry were founded in 2012 and have struggled with ownership and stadium issues. They were supposed to begin play in 2013, but have had their starting dates pushed back to 2015 and 2016.
Oklahoma City FC were founded in 2013, and were set to begin play at Taft Stadium before the owner of Oklahoma City Energy FC in the USL, Tim McLaughlin, had bought a 50% ownership stake in the rival franchise. Reportedly, McLaughlin controls the lease rights to Taft Stadium, where both teams are supposed to play. McLaughlin has been accused of sabotaging OKC FC and has been sued by the NASL.
Today, NASL commissioner Bill Peterson pulled the plug on both projects saying that the NASL has moved on from Virginia and Oklahoma City. |

| I'm 90% sure the only reason Miami exists is to piss off Don Garber and David Beckham. And the NASL is on the verge of losing 2nd tier status if they don't put a team in the pacific time zone |
