there's times where I think for a while, and subtly wish I was born a male
Is there a word for this and does anyone else experience it or am I crazy?
thank you, mr. violinist. |

You do know you can have a thought about what life you could have been if you were the opposite gender without having to delve into LGBT, right?

I care to specify it because the LGBT community is very active on OT, and I don't want to send out the wrong idea

The hard part is, when you say the wrong thing, you think the wrong thing(s).

"I care to specify it because the LGBT community is very active on OT, and I don't want to send out the wrong idea"
And even if you did, so what? We have thoughts and we would like to express them, that's part of being human, we have some of the weirdest thoughts but that doesn't mean we need to put every thought we have into our identity and put even more labels on ourselves. Its considerate of you though.
"it depends, i remember when i was 10 and i didnt want the transformers toy, i wanted the girl playhouse set."
That is one scenario though. When I was a child I loved to play house, play with the barbie figures in the day care I went to and yet here I am with no desire to wish I was a woman. I do wonder how my life would have changed if I was but I think there is a big difference to having a "what if" thought to an "I want" thought. |

I like that you're so down-to-earth and against self labeling, but I don't think I did anything wrong here. something like LGBT & gender orientation is large enough that specifying it feels like a normal thing anyone would do. it's not like I thought to specify it, it just felt natural to include it in the title.
thank you, mr. violinist. |

this is pretty off topic but its really weird for me because im a guy and i would happily date both men and women romantically, but i could never see myself s.xually with a woman, only with a man
like i have no s.xual attraction to women, but for some reason i still am romantically attracted to them its hard to describe
the name for this is "biromantic h0m0s.xual" but thats too long, no one knows what it means, and its kind of cringey so i just stick to g.y |

I'm not against it per se. It can go over the top but I don't mind labeling myself with what I Simply am and I just live life with it. Example, I will always be a European-American and I'm proud of that but I try to not make it my only attribute on who I am as a person.
You're right, you did nothing wrong, I'm just sort of "meh" when people have thoughts about something that isn't in the norm of their daily life that their first thought is to think of "x" or "y". I went through my bi phase but never needed LGBT because as an individual being part of that group never benefited me. I am not against them but I do not support them. |

@inplod
i feel your feel man but in a different way i'm a demis.e.xual but i just say i'm as.e.xual because no one know what demi is and i feel like if i said that when someone asked i'd have to explain
i have to develop and strong emotional / romantic connection with someone before feeling any s.e.xual feelings

pertaining to the original thread topic: i used to want to be a boy and i would always look at my friends and we were a group of girls and i'd just say to them "god i wish i was a boy so bad" but the only reason that was, is because it felt so hard to be a girl and as a girl going through puberty it was extremely frustrating and annoying. a lot of girls would say that to one another, like, hey i wish i was a man so i didn't have to deal with all of this |

I think this is all I'm feeling, but there's more to it. I just think guys have a much more vibrant life (especially socially) and they don't have the same expectations or roles weighed on them
