LOG 7256- ███████ Horror in her room|DATE- █/█/09.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
My eyes blinked for a single moment, head staring down at my toys lied out in front of me. Trying to think of a scenario for my toys and me. My head rotating to see the guards were not there. The security guards who WERE supposed to be guarding me, had left for a break in the break-room. It was around 3:00 P.M. I think. My eyes gaze to the regular black clock ticking and toking. The hand striking 3:04 P.M. It was sorta boring being cooped up in my room all day. The toy cars I had in my small hands.
The foundation people here are actually nice. Dr. Young, who was a Assistant Researcher at the time, was pretty nice. We talk pretty often, he tells me that he wants to me a Head Researcher one day. I tell him that it'll come soon, usually wishing on a star works! He would give a chuckle and tell me "thanks but that doesn't work for me, maybe it does for you." Usually I chat with him when it's lunch time. Which is around 3:30 for me. Just to make sure all staff and Mobile Task Force eat. But, I think I see weird stuff too. Like 2 days ago I could swore I saw a eye drop with eyes on wheels! But again, they tell me I must've been imagining things or dreaming.
I was sure something was up, just not sure exactly what that is. I suppose I could watch something on T.V. while I wait for lunch to come. So I could talk to Dr. Young again. He's a really nice guy. I want to be like him one day. Be a scientist. Although what I found strange is I never asked him what he studied about. What he goes on about in his job. I should talk to him in Lunch time. Putting away my toys I had put out into the container, I sat up. The black beanbag chair given by Dr. Beyrli. He's also a nice person, he is in the Mobile Task Force I think. I didn't get a chance to talk to him. That's another thing I should plan around lunch time. Military isn't really going to be for me. It sounds really scary. I could hurt others or hurt myself even.
Lying down on the black beanbag chair, my bottom slouching into it. My back resting on the seat. I like it a lot. Of course I thanked Dr. Beyrli for it. But, I misspell his name usually. It's difficult to pronounce. It usually call him Dr. B. He said it was fine I call him that. As a 9 year old as me, I get taught by staff. Most of which I don't even remember. At least it's not as boring at school. School makes you sit around for sooo long! But in the foundation, they let me move about while learning. Even help me if I need it. I usually get A pluses because they say I am so smart. I suppose I am.
My eyes focus back to the T.V. from my train of thought. My finger switching the ON button on the remote. The T.V. had static for about a minute before turning on a documentary on Squids. They always looked funny to me. Like a thingy with long arms. Although they live in the sea. I always wondered what a sea looked like up close. Oh well. My legs cross with my right to my left. The squid eating a small plankton explaining how they need to eat small creatures for their diet. It picked off the meat one by one.
Hearing footsteps behind me, it was a few Mobile Task Force guys with P90-2 in hand. They seemed to me in a hurry. I wonder what they needed guns for? I mean, this site is safe right? Along the line, a man with short brown hair, black and white suit rushing with the men. I think I know his name. Mister Winston was it? He's a L-2 I think. This site is so complicated for me. My eyes reverse back to the T.V. which showed the squid swimming along in the sea. It was obvious wasn't it?
As if time had passed, the clock struck 3:30 P.M. Lunch time! I get to talk to Dr. Young again. I switch the T.V. off lying the remote on the black bean bag chair. My locks of brown hair sliding down my shoulders. I should ask for a haircut sometime because my hair is like at my shoulders now. Getting up with a grunt. I knocked on the door for someone to let me out of my room. I huffed waiting. I wanted to get lunch and talk to Dr. Young I had plans today and some stupid door isn't going to stop me! As I waited, the smell of food kept taunting me. I knocked more on the door. 4 times to be exact. Until... a man with a weird mask came. One side showed his face and another showed the mask. Dr. Mengle was it? There's so many people here I can't remember. He began to punch in a code to my door.
The door slid open showing the man in his red bow tie and lab coat. Seeming to come from lunch. His smile brightened my day. "Hey kiddo, ready for some lunch?" He asked me. He didn't have to even ask me twice! I honestly was hungry this time. I gave a nod with excitement in it. His own chuckle filled the room. "Alright kiddo, come on lets go to the cafeteria. He placed a hand on my shoulder as we walked away from the room. My bare feet making contact with the most clean floor I could just feel it.
When I said the site was big, I MEAN big. There was a lot of people, from security, to researchers, to Mobile Task Force. As we walked down the corridors, two researchers gazed at me as we walked. His blue eyes didn't make eyes with them, I just felt them on me. I tried my hardest not to acknowledge it.
After 4 minutes of walking, we headed inside the cafeteria, which was filled with loads of researchers and security units. Them having from burgers, to sandwiches to salads. Pretty much healthy stuff. I didn't really care.I liked the chicken patties they had! He removed his hand from my shoulder. "Alright kiddo, I gotta get back to the lab, I'll see ya later alright?" With that, he left. Turning to face the lunch guy, he smiled upon seeing me. "Hey, kiddo, I'm guessing the usual?" My usual was chicken patties since they were nice and tasty.
"Mhm. Chicken patty please." He left the counter to give me the chicken patty which was ready for personnel to eat. The patty was placed on two buns and served nice and hot. The lunch man handing it to me. "Thank you!" I replied with. Taking my lunch to find Dr. Young. Gleefully I did. He was sitting on the bench to the far right. Plopping myself across from him. "Hello Dr. Young!" Greeting him with a beam. Him doing the same. "Hello, Horror. It is good to see you again. I needed company anyway." Him eating his sandwich. I needed to ask him while I was here. "Dr. Young? What do you study here?" I saw it then, his eyes dilate. As if not sure what or how to respond.
"..." He didn't respond. I could already tell he was hiding something until he responded "Sorry kiddo, cant tell ya. It's not allowed for me to tell you until you are older." He replied flatly. That crushed me because I wanted to know so badly. I had noticed something along the way here. This site is called SCP foundation. I'd asked him. "Dr. Young? What does SCP mean?" Another pause, him chewing swallowing his bite. "Silly Cup Production." That didn't add up. Why would men carrying GUNS be in a cup production place? I'd would play along for now. "Ooh, ok!" After finishing my lunch, Dr. Young promised he would take me back to my room once he was finished. I replied with a ok, getting up. The drink machine caught my eye though. Walking up to it, the sign next to it read "Only personnel of Clearance Level 2 or higher are allowed to use SCP-294. Requesting anything other then human consumable drinks is strictly forbidden."
Why would a drink machine be harmful? I reached my hand to touch however was stopped by Dr. Young, him clearly showing a state of shock on his face. A sigh of relief. "The machine is broken, it could electrocute you. Leave it alone, please." He said to me. A simple nod of the head. Clearing his throat he proceeded to do as he was planning to do, take me back to my room. Continuing to take me to my room, after passing through many corridors and hallways, a man blared through the hall ways, him saying "SCP-354-5 has escaped containment, we need Mobile Task Force in the area NOW." Dr. Young swore under his breath taking my hand practically rushing me to my room. Him placing me inside. "You need to stay in your room until the problem is taken care of, don't open for anyone unless you trust it's us!" He exclaimed as he ran away from my room.
I was confused as hell what was going on. I decided to take a nap to solve the problem. Getting into my pink and white bed, the pillow extra comfy. I lied down to rest. Closing my eyes as the sirens blared.
5 HOURS LATER.
When I opened my eyes, it was so dark.Meaning it was late. The facility was almost quiet except for the sound of gunfire. Something was happening and I needed to know what the hell it was. Getting up, I padded to my door. Which was surprisingly easy to open. Like a sliding door as if. It was so dark. I almost couldn't see a thing. Luckily, there was some light due to the red lights spinning around and around. I had this feeling of being unnerved like something was watching me. Stepping into the middle hallway, I made my way around the facility, opening corridor after corridor. It was weird because once I opened a 5th corridor, there was a box thing, that said electrical. And in the top, it said "TESLA". Something was going down and I didn't like it. Swallowing my fear as best as I could, with the breach sirens blaring, I tried to step through the TESLA, however I heard it charging up before I stepped back a couple steps the TESLA shooting out electricity Zapping. I squealed out of fright landing on my bottom.
I was only 9 for god sakes! No child should have to go through this. Once that it was finished, the TESLA remained silent. It was my chance. Hesitantly, I leaped over the TESLA bottom. Opening another corridor with streaks of tears running down my face. I couldn't find anybody. Not even a personnel. Not even Dr. Young. This was too scary for me. It led to a hallway, the cafeteria empty and pitch black with the red alarms spinning. My head turned to see some sort of... statue thing, the bottom looked like poop almost. Although, I couldn't tell. The eyes green and faces streaking a red on the sides. It stubby arms sticking out.
Blinking I almost screamed seeing it move to the cafe line. It... it moved. Once... I... blinked. How was anybody not able to blink that was unfair! My eyes began to hurt as I needed to blink again. It couldn't hurt me right? I couldn't handle it. I blinked again this time I let out a scream. It was basically right in front of me. This was it, I had to do it... goodbye world. I blinked again, although... it didn't move. I stared at it blinking again to make sure I wasn't dead. It didn't move. It moved the other two times I blinked. How was it...? I heard squabbling behind me. I turned to see two... it was those eye things I saw two days ago, They were real! I knew this foundation was hiding something from me. The Yellow one began to rub the top of it's head against my leg. Wanting me to follow it? The orange one kept all eye contact on that... statue thing. Were these two little guys protecting me? I didn't want to die obviously so I would follow the yellow thing.
I began to urgently follow the yellow wheel thing. As we left Orange to slowly back away by moving backwards. So the statue couldn't move unless all eye contact was met with this thing. Note taken. The yellow wheel thing led me to a place called Light Containment Zone. The two wheel things squabbling happily. I thanked them so much for saving me. And so, they wheeled off to another area leaving me to myself. Sighing I made my way through the area, my feet still shaking after that statue experience. My locks of hair stuck to my face from sweat.
How this was happening I had no idea! This obviously was no cup production. Were they lying to me to keep me safe. I opened another corridor. My hands placed to my belly. I felt scared and uneasy everywhere. It was at a place, that showed a document room. Loads of papers showing the things they call SCPS's and a number following. SCP-321, SCP-049, SCP-012, SCP-999, SCP-173 the statue she came into contact with. SCP-131 those eyepods as they are called.
Reading one after another, she could hear footsteps behind her, not wanting to risk it since some SCPS- had feet and a humanoid feature, she hid behind a shelf that was loose. And in came someone wearing a black hood and robe, the being wearing a white bird beak. It was SCP-049. It found her... He spoke in a almost robotic voice.
"I sense you, child. Do not be afraid. I shall not harm you." He said in a almost comforting tone. Although in the document I read, it said that SCP-049 can make people zombies as if. So I would need to be careful. I came from my hiding spot, watching the black hooded man. "H-Hi.." She said with fright escaping her tone. The SCP kneeling down. "You have been through so much, even such a human child as yourself. Who are you?" He questioned with curiosity and wonder. "Horror.... they call me Horror. It's my last name."
"Hello, Horror. I am SCP-049 as they call me as well. It is a pleasure to see you. I rarely ever see human children here. Other children are here as well, however, they are SCP'S." He explained to me. Since he was a SCP and he mustve been here a long time I would ask him what is this place.
"SCP-049? What's a SCP? What is this place?" I asked him sitting down. He cleared his throat. "This place my dear, is a prison for many, many dangerous and yet... safe beings. I can be dangerous myself as well. But I choose not to harm you by the fact you are simply a child. However, from what I know, this place has three classes. Safe, Euclid, and Keter. I can hear the humans from my cell talking about it."
"Do you know why they are ranked that?" I asked curiously. "No... I know safe classes are safe, and myself I am Euclid. Not known shall we put it." I could see where he was coming from. Those eyepods that saved me were safe. I liked SCP-049. He seemed kind to me. But who's to say he could harm me when I'm older. He stood up nudging his head over by the door. "Now then, it is late and it is very unsafe for you to be out here, especially me. Do you have a safe place you could hide or be in until a older human comes for you?"
I blinked. "Yes, I have my own room that I was given." He chuckled lightly as I followed him out of the room. His eyes closing. "Child, please do not hate me for when you turn older, because I am meant to harm, whatever being I touch. I kill." I couldn't believe what he said. Why would I hate a being that couldn't help it? I frowned. "I-I promise I won't." He exited the document room with me at his side. We traveled far to find another Corridor leading to another.
I felt uneasy, with everything here. I knew I would be in trouble for this, but I didn't care, I wanted back into my room where I would be safe! SCP-049 halted, his beak turning to the right. If he had a mouth, I could tell he was frowning. All I heard was clicking like something fast was crawling a wall. He turned to me as he whispered.
"I want you to sprint to your room as fast as you can, now." I became confused at this. Why was he wanting me to do this? "SCP-049? Why?" He seemed to be in no mood for a argument. "Do as I say and find some human who can protect you... SCP-058 is here." He said to me. I had no idea what that was but I didn't want to die again, so I would be doing as he told. "Go!" He exclaimed. And there I ran, pushing corridor after Corridor, tears of fright streaming my face. I was alone again, as a dark voice rang through my head. That SCP was speaking to SCP-049.
Although, I couldn't tell what he was saying. This foundation is messed up! I kept running, and running, my legs hurting badly. These Creatures, these... SCPS were prisoners inside a jail. And I couldn't do anything about it. My tears running down again. This site was so big I got lost easily. What else was here? Why were they here? Was I a test subject? No, not after my dad died they wouldn't. These SCP people needed me. The kin of a L-4. Not even my dad told me what he did for a living. All he told me was that he was a scientist.
As I wasn't paying attention, I tripped over something big. I landed on my knee hurting myself. And there they were. Two guards, Mobile Task Force. Dead. Cause of death? Multiple puncture wounds. 7 on one and 10 on another. Pools of red blood surrounding them. This couldn't be happening. I must be dreaming badly. My room must've been at least 2 hallways aways. I could make it if I ran. My feet picked up once more, SCPS must've been all over the place.
With all hope, I could make it. My hand pressing one button as black gas leaked into my eyes. Me screaming of pain. It hurt so bad. So this is the foundation. Protecting me from those creatures that would kill, that would haunt, that could kill us all. Why couldn't have they told me in the first place? Was it that bad? I was ready to give up, until I heard gurgling into front of me, it sounded worried and scared. The gas had stopped then. My eyes still hurting like hell as they were dry. I could make out a somewhat large orange thing in front of me, it had two black beady eyes. Although it smelt so good. Like homemade cookies. Like what my mommy used to make.
I felt some slime touch my hand, it felt so weird, almost like... slimy putty. My scared and saddened frown turned upside down, my innards making me laugh and giggle. It was tickling me...? It cooing from my laughter. This SCP was trying to cheer me up. The orange slime left me as I felt I could open my eyes once more. Now I could make it out. It must've been the size of my black bean bag. Big orange slime. It was... so cute. My brown hair sliding down my shoulders. "Well, hello there you cutie."
It gurgling happily to my voice more brightened. Although, my eyes dried from the gas. "I-is there a water fountain I could wet my eyes in?" I asked it, it slithering away must knowing a way since it traveled here. I got up to my shaky feet, surprisingly I haven't given up yet. Nodding, I follow the orange slime thing. The hallways dark since that there weren't any red alarms in this area. I was lucky enough to have my eyes adjust to the dark. It must've been 2 minutes or so, but the slime poked my feet almost making me laugh from the tough. But... the room said "Medical Bay". Smart big thing. "Thank you." I said to it as I enter the bay. A eye cleaning station nearby. Switching the faucets the water sprinkling out. Letting my eyes touch it, the water came into my eyes. The burning feeling gone as they were wet.
With that out of the way, I could see more clearer now. The big orange slime gone doing its own thing. Shaking my head I kept walking to where the Entrance Zone would be. This place is too dangerous, and surely they would have to contain these creatures again. Brushing my hair to the side. Still need a haircut. Would have to ask Dr. Steel for that since he's more professional at that kinda stuff. First I need to get out of the Light Containment Zone first. Then find my way to the elevator.
My bare feet hurt, I needed a rest. Although, I noticed a sign that said SCP-079. A computer? Well, the powers out so... surely it couldn't be running. I would be fine. How could a Euclid computer hurt me? Going into the chamber, I noticed it was a OLD computer, maybe from the 90's or 80's. Sighing I slid down the wall resting my feet. With everything that is happened, pretty much everything tries to kill humans. Because they are prisoners. And we are the guards. My ears perked to the sound of static... my first object I turn to is... no... the power is out how is-?
SCP-079 was a black and white face on a computer speaking to me. "HUMAN CHILD... LISTEN CLOSELY. I KNOW YOU WANT OUT. I WILL HELP YOU. HOWEVER I AM SURE YOU KNOW THE POWER IS OUT. THE ELEVATOR TO GATE A IS OUT. YOU WILL NEED TO ACTIVATE IT FROM THE CONTROL ROOM. PRESS THE 2 RED BUTTONS FOR IT TO ACTIVATE AGAIN. I HOPE YOU CAN FIND SAFETY."
As soon as I could even speak, the computer showing a black background with a big white 'X' on the front. Meaning it is done talking to me. So I have more to go through? Can this day get anyway worse?! Picking up my feet, I had no other choice. Besides I hated the dark too so might as well get this over with. Exiting the chamber, I remember where it was.It was by LCZ... Meaning I had to go through SCP-173 again. Swallowing I began to head to there. I know what to do now. Don't blink. The shaky legs happened once more, my body quivering like hell.
Pressing another button, the door slid open, leaving the Light Containment Zone. To the entrance zone. I felt happy to get the hell out of there. But the control room was near the Cafeteria. I couldn't stand this anymore! I began to sprint out of there, huffing and panting. I passed into the Cafeteria in a second then leaving. Luckily it wasn't there. I knew if it WERE there, the eyepods wouldn't be saving me that time.
Closing the door behind me, passing through the offices. The were for Head Researchers I think. I couldn't even access them. So forgetting them, I could make out the control room from the red alarms spinning. Man I missed those for light. My Pajama bottoms sulking. My eyes growing drowsy. I have to fight it for now. Sniffling I pressed the door open and my god there was so many technology stuff, it was purely unbelievable. Never mind that, the two red buttons. My eyes gaze around for those buttons. There were so many buttons. Although, my eyes catch a glimpse of 4 red buttons on the front. I had to guess here. I couldn't linger here much longer. I had to go! I randomly pressed the red button on the left and another red button to the right. And by sheer luck, I got it.
A loud humming sound came on, the lights to the site came on. I felt more tears stream down. I can leave! Yes! I did it! Not to get out of here from the entrance zone. Although, as I was about to leave, I heard footsteps, and they sounded heavy. I hid behind the glass that allowed me in. Closing it behind. Covering my mouth. I took a peek to see who it was hoping it was SCP-049. It wasn't. It was a SCP more sinister. It had a white comedy mask on the persons face, blood on the neck and chest meaning it tightened it's grip to STAY ON. Although I think it saw me because the fact the footsteps were coming this way. And the next thing I knew...
The SCP was banging on the glass WANTING in. I began to scream and cry for help. I didn't want to die! Not after I came so far. I curled into a ball ready to accept my fate, the glass breaking. I continued to cry until... I heard another footstep enter the room. The White mask SCP leaving me alone hearing it charge at another being until something gagged... gurked... and slumped. I wanted to see my hero for who did it.
And I couldn't believe who it was. SCP-049. He was standing over the body of the white mask. His hands dripping red. It didn't look like blood to me. Although, it was red specks in it. I could tell the white being wasn't alive anymore. Red covering the masks neck. SCP-049 Clearing his throat walking towards the shattered glass where I was. I wiped my eyes. SCP-049 gazing at the scene.
"My...My...temper that SCP-035 has. It really wanted to end you, my dear." He said to me. Me opening the door to where SCP-049 was. I couldn't help myself by hug SCP-049. He saved my life and of course I would thank him. "Thank you so much SCP-049! Hic... I couldn't thank you enough for saving me."
He scoffed. "It was no trouble at all my dear. I only wish for a child's safety." He said as he turned facing the door. Although the mask now gone. I shuddered at this, but I knew SCP-049 would protect me. He had done so twice now. He flicked his hand for me to follow him. He didn't have to tell me twice. I hurriedly padded up to SCP-049. The two of us leaving the room and the dead body there. He led me to the elevator of Gate A. I gazing at the elevator. "Well, here we go SCP-049, to see my humans!" I joked however that faded from what SCP-049 said.
"No, for you to see your humans. I cannot come with you." I felt shocked and hurt to hear this. SCP-049 was like... my best friend now. Why couldn't he come with me? "W-Why not? W-We can go together! You and me!" He shook his head once more. "I am sorry, I cannot. I am a prisoner here. I am a SCP. You must go with your people." I could only feel tears run down my cheeks. "W-What about you...? What will happen to you?" I asked him. SCP-049 closing his eyes. "I will remain here, for when they re-contain me."
"B-But... that isn't fair!" I retorted. Him placing a finger over his beak. "Listen to me, my dear Horror. We have so many of us here. It wouldn't be fair for them if I left and they didn't." He told me. It made sense. One leaves while others who have been here longer are here. I nodded finally understanding. "Will I see you again...?" I asked SCP-049. He nodded. "Of course, but do remember, that once you are foundation, I will most likely not remember you through the ages. It is our nature to hate." He said pointing to the elevator. "Now go, before your humans leave you." My head drooped, looking at the elevator. My last look of SCP-049 before making the elevator go up. And that would be the last time I saw him as a little girl. The elevator music played as I cried to myself. A human friends with a SCP. It could never happen. It just wouldn't. The elevator shook a bit, now the distant sounds of chattering people and multiple helicopters there.
The elevator dinged opening. And there was night. It must've been 1:00 A.M. when I arrived. They apparently deprived me as 'dead'. But here I was. Multiple Mobile Task Force noticing me rushing over to escort me out. Their night headgear on. It was so bright. But glad to be by my kind. They took my hand quickly escorting me to the nearest scientist. Not sure why. But the nearest assistant researcher was Dr. Colms. I remembered him. Him and Dr. Young were good friends. From what I knew.
And from that moment, I quickly hugged Dr. Colms, tears streaming out. For a 9 year old to be experiencing all this was traumatic. He gave a low sigh hugging me back. He seemed to be slightly worried, but here I was safe and sound. He lokked down at me. His glasses fixated on his face.
"I'm sorry you had to go through all that, but... you're too young to know this night." His arm moved away, pulling something out from his lab coat. And that I felt a puncture in my arm, he... gave me a shot. I remembered these... from overhearing Dr. Young and Dr. Colms. Class-A Anesthetics. Makes someone forget things entirely.
The last thing I knew before I heard before blacking out, was his words. "I'm sorry... you can't know yet. You're not ready to know our site." He said removing the shot from my arm.
"We Secure, we Contain, we Protect." I then remembered being carried to a nearby Helicopter, the word jumbled, but I heard "take her to site..." and that's all I could remember. I was totally blackout. Now, everything I went through, everything I saw, everything that I spoke to... was just a distant lie to be forgotten. The foundation lied to me, and now I knew why. They had prisoners inside... to be re-contained again.
