| Anything but the animation system because of the many flaws it has.. just to mention one.. If the animation was played on a non-player before a player (let's call him bob) joins, then on bob's screen the animation would not be playing. |

i would recommend being very scared
Unless you only plan on doing it on normal characters, then it's fine
But you can only do animations on your character in a local script, for NPC you need to do in a server script with a AnimationTrack |

| As I told you, I really am not a fan of the animation system that roblox has in place. I've seen a lot of animated objects around roblox like a giant ship with animated wings.. |

| I know there are some custom animation systems out there. I guess a "custom animation" search in the free models should do the trick? |

| @build thanks for the suggestion but I'm really just here for my own knowledge so.. I just want to learn how to do it. I want to be comfortable with it. Thanks again, I'll look some up and look at their scripts although there are probably a lot of code that went into them considering that they probably have a timeline and what not. umm.. yeah.. |

Oh you want to know how to make it your self? Well, first of the ROBLOX animation use Moter6D if I remember correctly. You can't use these at all, so don't :3
You probably want to use normal weld And animate them with the C1 property. The easiest way to handle the animation is to change that property server side, but this causes delay, so instead it's advised to do this client side within a render stepped event connection. To interpolate the CFrames of the C1 property you probably want to use the lerp method of CFrame.

| Alright thank you. I'll try it out for myself. The only thing I didn't understand is CFrame.lerp(). I heard about recently and I still don't understand it's function. But thank you, I'll look it up. |

| Why not use animations, and just have the animation restart when a new player enters the game? |

| Animation system by roblox is Broken. We all know it's a pain to work with it unless it's used to animate a player. |

| I clearly said in this post (including replies) is that I want to animate a non-character model (example: A ship with animated wings). |
