"No, he's the opposite. He wants to leave marriage to the states and not the federal govt."
You're right, completely forgot about that. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he the GOP cadidate that wants to do away with the separation of church and state? If it isn't him

"And if you raise minimum wage, companies are going to make less money, which is ultimately going to lead to them firing excess employees (Like I said above, I'm pretty sure McDonalds is planning to fire most of its employees because of this wage increase)."
You're completely correct in that the companies will initially see a loss in profits, but as the poverty levels decrease and people have more money, they will in turn, spend more money, the companies will see an increase in profits as people will have more money to spend at these companies.
"But if you're comfortable with living in a socialist powerhouse then by all means be happy with our govt. I, for one, am most certainly not."
Did you pay attention in Sophmore year history? Our government's never been entirely capitalistic, we've always had socialist elements here and there. And if it's those socialist elements that keep the rich from taking advantage of the working class(See the 1920's when workers benefits were a myth and people got payed pennies for their hard work) then yes, I am comfortable living in this "Socialist" powerhouse even though many elements of capitalism still very much exist. |

@Isolated:
Try San francisco where some 2-3 bedrooms have recently gone anywhere from 5k-9k a month.
It's ridiculous.

Doubtful.
He's a Catholic, but considering he has a brain I doubt he'd be enthusiastic about ridding the US of separation of church and state. |

"That doesn't make sense raising minimum wage would only make prices go up."
actually minimum wage hardly affects index prices, and if minimum wage >everywhere< went up, prices would only go up by marginal amounts

I'll read on it, I know there was one GOP candidate that wanted that.
Either way, we're likely to either have Clinton or Trump as president in 2016. I for one would rather have Clinton who at the very least has experience in politics as opposed to mr hair piece. |
