The new teams could be named after defunct or relocated NHL teams, or WHA teams
This could give some new players better chances to play on teams, and could make the league more interesting.

There are plenty of players without teams that would now be able to play with the addition of new teams.

the HHCL minor league is full of HHCLers
The Minors should be for players not currently on HHCL teams

The HHCL should not be expanded for four major reasons:
1. The HHCL needs to keep realism vital. So 30 teams. The only relocations will be the ones where teams are relocating irl. I.e. if ARZ was to move to Las Vegas, we would change the name to Las Vegas Coyotes, as it would coincide with the irl team name. 2. The talent pool needs to be kept at it's highest. If we let everyone in, then the talent pool greatly decreases. 3. There is a minor league for those players who cannot make the highest level. I have seen players, under guidance, develop into great major league players. 4. We cannot find enough good captains for 31+ teams. For example, even with 30 teams, Snipedbardown already left his team Washington. We cannot allow forfeits to take ahold of this league.

I have seen players, under guidance, develop into great major league players. - If the minors weren't full of pros, people would have more chances. 4. We cannot find enough good captains for 31+ teams. For example, even with 30 teams, Snipedbardown already left his team Washington. We cannot allow forfeits to take ahold of this league. - There are plenty of people that will be willing to captain these new teams

I.e. if ARZ was to move to Las Vegas, we would change the name to Las Vegas Coyotes, as it would coincide with the irl team name. - There is no need to actually keep realism in the league. - Realism is vital to the general fun of the league. The reason I joined this league, and I'm sure many others did, was because of the realism. I didn't go to RNHL or RHL because of the fake teams. 2. The talent pool needs to be kept at it's highest. If we let everyone in, then the talent pool greatly decreases. - There could be players that have never got there chances because there was never an oppurtunity - If we let everyone in, there is no point of the HHCL. The HHCL is show the players who are the best in the HHC to have a shot at clashing for a trophy. 3. There is a minor league for those players who cannot make the highest level. I have seen players, under guidance, develop into great major league players. - If the minors weren't full of pros, people would have more chances. - The minors may be full of pros, however, I feel, much like in county cricket in England, the addition of pros help the game, are here to give advice, more than to injure the game. 4. We cannot find enough good captains for 31+ teams. For example, even with 30 teams, Snipedbardown already left his team Washington. We cannot allow forfeits to take ahold of this league. - There are plenty of people that will be willing to captain these new teams - Willing is not the same as being a good captain. "Willing" will lead to forfeits. "Willing" won't make good captains who have a legitimate chance at making the playoffs. 5. What will we do with the playoff format, now? 18 teams? 20 teams?

MCHL shouldn't be full of HHCLers, but when you countered eelee's point earlier.. I found them kind of stupid. 1. Of course the league needs to be realistic, it's basically an NHL simulator.
2. There is something called tryouts. If you show up and make it, you can get drafted, if you don't make it, you had your chance, and you go to minors for the season and come back next season and tryout again.
3. Like I said before, that's a good point.
4. Of course there'd be people wanting to, but it's whether or not they can. Some people might hog the ice and keep themselves on 13-15 minutes. Others might pick a really bad team and have no chance. Others might just be bad themselves and not be able to help their team, and finally, others might be inactive or immature. |

The HHCL is not the NHL, where an expansion wouldn't dilute the player talent level at all.
All a HHCL expansion does is open up spots for people that aren't good enough to crack the roster on one of the 30 existing teams, and are also complete masochists who enjoy getting blown the hell out. |

| The point of the HHCL is to get the premier HHC players at the highest level. If you can't make a team you aren't ready for this level of play. Simple as that. |
