We, the Supreme Court, have brought forth and approved a motion declaring that the CEC must hold Class I elections for the month of July. We voted 9-0, a unanimous vote, in favor of the motion which needed a majority of the Supreme Court and passed.
The elections of this country are a crucially important thing which maintain our status as a functioning Republic, and when we change the system it is important we implement those changes in a timely manner. However we have found that the Congressional Elections Committee has failed to implement the new election system for the House by holding the Class I elections which were designated by the newly passed Constitution to take place this month. As they have failed to carry out our duty it is ours to declare that they must make up for their mistake, and hold the elections that should have occurred.
We hold that because the Constitution dictates that Class I elections are to take place on the "first month", and Class II on the "second month", that elections for Class I were meant to take place first on January and every two months after that or they were to first take place on the month of the Constitution's passage and then every two months after that. Either way you look at it, the same conclusion is met. Said conclusion being that Class I elections are meant to take place every odd numbered month, yet the CEC failed to hold elections in July when those for Class I should have been taking place. This is our reasoning for our ruling on the matter, that the CEC must hold these Class I elections in order to get the new electoral system going.
Of course the CEC may determine what days of each month they hold each election in the future, so long as they are held on the correct month. Henceforth Class I elections must be held every odd numbered month, and Class II must be held every even numbered month. If this is done correctly, it shall ensure that Representatives all have two month terms and that our electoral system is functioning as the Constitution dictates.

| I am happy to see that elections are being closely monitored. Next, legislation should be presented and passed within the Congress regarding both campaign finances and methods of communications. |

| There were elections held, special elections. We're not talking about special elections though, we're talking about official Class I elections. If there were Class I elections, just tell me when they were and i'll find them in the audit log. |

Here is an elections timeline based on what is in the audit log:
June 29th: House Special Elections Signature Phase is begun July 1st: Special Elections Become General Elections and begin voting phase July 2nd: General Elections produce a 5 way tie, later resolved and elections conclude July 3rd: New Constitution is passed, putting in place a new election system
Other than all that, there were the more recent special elections, so no there weren't any Class I elections this month when there should have been. Unless you can provide me a link to some and explain how they aren't in the audit log, they didn't happen. |

Clearly shows the Special elections being merged into the general elections; elections were held for Class I and other vacancies at the same time.

| Regardless of the legitimacy of merging Class I elections with vacant spaces, this was conducted before the passage of the new constitution. The new constitution changed the nature of elections for the House entirely, so it was required to put that new system in place. However the CEC failed to do so, which is why this ruling has been laid down by the SC. |

| Youtube are you saying even though we had class 1 elections you are making all of them run again? What about their 2 terms in office? Just gonna remove that so others can get actual 2 term's? Sounds so dumb. Wait until September. kthx |

It's still breaking the constitution by not allowing the representatives to serve their full term; the SC already screwed Congress over by forcing us to host general elections at the start of the month, now they're doing it again.
Gee, let's do this to Presidential elections too |

Ok now you're just making excuses instead of actual points, unless you have something substantial to say please shush.

No, what I am saying is there were no Class I elections at all. There were special elections which merged into general elections all taking place under an old Constitution, and an old election system. A new Constitution has passed, dictating that we establish a new electoral system. To avoid future hassles it is best we get this system in working order early on in the way the Constitution dictates, however the CEC has not done so, which is why we made this ruling.

It isn't "breaking the constitution", if anything your way is closer to that since you want to give them their "full term" which would have both classes being elected on the same month which is unconstitutional. By the way, the Supreme Court didn't rule that you had to have general elections, that was a bad (and somewhat hilarious) misinterpretation on your part. The statement to which you refer within the ruling was separate from the ruling and was simply stating that those who won special elections had to run again once they carried out their full term "like in real life."
"Gee, let's do this to Presidential elections too"
Nice red herring, looks delicious. |
