1) Well that really sucks, and I honestly feel awful about it. :/
2) Moms are annoying backseat drivers all the time. It's ESPECIALLY annoying (I can imagine, never been on the highway before, only city streets) when you're driving at high speeds on highways.
3) 290 near where? I'd imagine through all these years 290 would be 4 lanes with a median all the way from Houston to Austin. That's ridiculous. No wonder I like the 71/10 route better.
4) Yep that whole Waller/Hempstead area is terrible with law enforcement, even sans Sandra Bland.
5) The route from Round Rock to College Station is a lot nicer, and no one went faster than 80 today. 100 is awful. The only place in the state I've seen someone go 100+ is on the 130. |

"whats the fastest you go over the limit rune"
well since my mom was in the car i was doing 70 (like i said, the speed limit is 75) had she not been with me, i would have been hitting around 90 (it's a nice little open stretch of road there, and if you can avoid the troopers, it's a great place to take a cruise)

"from 610 North where it turns into 290 West" Oh dear lord, in the city of Houston. There's construction in Austin on Mopac/Loop 1 but Austin drivers aren't as bad. Gotta have more concentration in Houston.
"welcome 2 houston" Yeah, the worst drivers in Austin are on 35, and they aren't nearly as bad as Houston. The drive on 79 from Round Rock to Hearne and 6 down to College Station was really peaceful and everyone was driving nicely even though there were like 4 state troopers that were on the route going and coming back home

"well since my mom was in the car i was doing 70 (like i said, the speed limit is 75)" Yep. My dad's a slow driver (shockingly he was going 74-76 in a 70 today, wow) but with him I'm going to have to drive like 5 below the limit, and with my mom too even though she's a fast driver herself (ugh, moms...)
"had she not been with me, i would have been hitting around 90 (it's a nice little open stretch of road there, and if you can avoid the troopers, it's a great place to take a cruise)" I-35 from Austin to San Antonio: if you're driving at a non-peak time on a weekend and there's no troopers on the road (actually more frequently than you might think) you can floor it at 90-95 and make it to San Antonio in like 50 minutes |

| it's actually really dangerous though, my mom only did it because she had to vote for Ollanta Humala against Keiko Fujimori in the Peruvian election in 2011 and the polling place in San Antonio she went to was going to close at a certain time and we had to be there ASAP so my mom could cast her vote |

"i end up at TXST" Honestly as much as I love Texas State and San Marcos, unless you're going to study something in health or become a teacher, Texas State is a waste of time, it took me years to realize this and I just came to this conclusion like two weeks ago too |

Honestly I prefer setting cruise control (of course, not in the city) right at or about 2-3 miles above the limit maximum. Going 5+ mph faster than the limit is reckless driving and it's extremely dangerous to others on the road. |

debatable since cops in Houston don't even bother stopping you for going 5 miles over the limit |

yeah because Houston drivers think "Speed LIMIT" means "Minimum Speed" |
