Its a staggered release, meaning that it will be released in waves. Theres a 10% chance you get W10 tomorrow. It will be released to Windows 10 insiders though.
If 1 billion people download Windows 10 all at once their system would crash.

You don't know Microsoft's servers, do you? If a few million people downloaded W10 all at once, there'd only be a minuscule amount of slowness. |

"At a special event today, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 10 will launch over a period of time this year, with the PC version of the OS arriving first. Versions for phones, Internet of Things (IoT), Xbox One, HoloLens and other devices will arrive according to their own schedules later in 2015."
can you just not read because what they mean by 'staggered release' is releasing to different devices all windows 7/8 get the windows 10 on july 29th |

People who are part of Windows insiders get the update tomorrow.
Over one billion devices are waiting for the Windows 10 update, if all devices download it at once the system would crash.

"because what they mean by 'staggered release' is releasing to different devices" Thank you. But it will all be released on the same day. You guys are REALLY underestimating Microsoft's servers. Sending out that many copies of an OS in the same day is nothing. They're god damn Microsoft. |

"People who are part of Windows insiders get the update tomorrow." You bet we do.
"Over one billion devices are waiting for the Windows 10 update, if all devices download it at once the system would crash." ...Do you really think that Microsoft only runs their server on one computer? They have TONS of power. They could give everyone on W7/W8.1 a copy within less than an hour without a load. |

I really hope I am wrong, but I spoke to Windows Live Chat for a bug I have, then I asked it and they said that people are not getting the upgrade exact on 29th July,

You really underestimate their power. They run millions of OS updates, host an entire service for their console, and tons of other stuff. They have a massive server and it would send out all of the updates with no problem at all. |

I talked to Microsoft again, they werent that helpful
When I was connected to their chat, I had to wait 5 minutes until he was done (No it was not the queue, I was already connected with the agent)
Then, I said: Hello? Somebody there?
Then he said: Hello,
Normally when you enter a Live Chat, they say: Hello, this is bla bla bla what is your problem?
Then I asked the question, he/she replied: Both could be possible, I dont know.
then i left |
