Orion, it's a headset.
I have 2 ports when I put the jack in the microphone port I get no sound but the mic pops up
When I put it in the headphone port, I get sound but mic won't work |

Maybe plug in the jack in the microphone port and then just plug in some headphones to listen to the sound? |

| Go to system preferences, sound from the View menu, click input tab, change the "Use audio for:" dropdown to whatever fits your needs. |

Small correction, when you're on the sound page in system preferences change input to your device and output to your device (both are different tabs). That should allow you to simultaneously hear and speak into it.
Let me know if that works. |
