Blame mobile for sh itty UI updates
It's the reason for the upcoming site layout, the previous game interface, and the topbar

Although I like the topbar :P

I've learned to just work with it and add another, equally sized grey bar, to the bottom of the screen. It's actually quite handy, as it provides space for information and anything else you want to display.

Roblox should add support for removing this gui though, or at least making it 100% transparent. You can change its transparency, but only from a range of 0-.5. Also, this doesn't prevent you from removing the chat or backpack, it works just as it always had, just remove the coregui.

You cannot remove it, but it's a lot more customizable than some people think.

Sure, sucks not having full control over the transparency, but you CAN change it's color, that's awesome, right?

did you change the color by putting a colored frame underneath it?

or is it a property of some sort?

I assume you could make it .5 transparent then offset an equally sized frame upwards by the same amount of pixels, then you could color it. Clever idea!

And, you CAN'T change the color of the top bar, you only just put a gui element behind the top bar to make it appear to have changed color. ;)

The only useful thing you can do in it is put something like "Version *some numbers*" in it.

It also wastes lots of GUI space on mobile...

By putting a gui element behind it, you change the color of that particular part of the screen, the part which the topbar occupies. Now when you think of the topbar as that section the screen which is a bar, instead of a particular frame, you will see that I am right in saying I can change the color.

@above above Technically you could add your own little extend button and make it extend out to show your own part of the bar. Just a thought.

I didn't overreact at a "little joke", it was a chain reaction of events that caused it.

1. I asked for help you and started saying that I was wrong and that the wiki documents everything
2. I politely explained how wrong you were and you were too stubborn to admit you were wrong
3. I provided example and instead of reading the links you pretended to report for offsite links
4. I realized that you were too immature to help me in any way, so I blocked you, left the group that you shouldn't be running, deleted my metatables card from the AFAP trello board, and left the trello group.

I had an idea -

For adding buttons to the topbar, they will be behind the CoreGui, right? So they can't exactly be clicked

Why not just compare the location where the player clicked on the screen to where those gui elements are? Should work fine right?

They really do need to make it possible to get rid of the top bar. It's just annoying and its design doesn't work well with any genre of game.

Anyways, you might be able to correct the color shift caused by it being beneath the bar, but not a ton. Also, you probably can click buttons through it, as it may have "Active" set to true (or false, whichever one it is).

If you know what you're doing, combine this with mouse events and x,y coordinates, you can effectively add your own buttons to the bar. I suck at gui design, and used roblox images instead of making my own (which would work good with those colors), but here's the general idea:

You can still clearly see that the buttons are below the topbar, which looks ugly, and the player may not even realize they are clickable. It, quite frankly, is just bad design for the button to appear under the frame it is supposed to appear on, and you shouldn't do it.
