basically if someone spams the comments and they get a warning or anything for it, they get a comment ban
you would be notified that you were comment banned when attempting to post a comment, and you would also be given the reason why
your first comment ban would last a week, if you didn't do anything too bad (bad thing: posting links to inappropriate websites. not as bad thing: spamming "send me trades!") your second would be indefinite

the mods can't differentiate what's deserving of a comment ban just based on your own preferences
either they strictly ban every comment in offense or none at all. right now, i'm leaning towards the latter since most kids post stupid things in the comments from time to time. Taking away their commenting rights reaches a lot farther than just a simple ban, and it won't teach lessons if they can't learn from it. |
